I now know that LDL will increase considerably when not eating carbs and sugar so I am not concerned about this. My other results were good. I said no because I am waiting to have a lipid test which I think should be part of the cholesterol test but I guess it’s too expensive. She then said to me you do know that your arteries are furring up. I said how do you know that. After about 30 seconds she said sorry I should not have said that. I despair. I think I know more about analyzing my results than she did. I’ve taken a lot of time researching and I am determined not to go on statins because of the side effects. Knowledge is king.
Going on a statin just increases your CAC, and it really doesn't stop a heart attack. Reversing my coronary calcium verified by CAC. Linus Pauling Heart Protocol.
I would advise that you if you can to pay for a CT angiogram of your coronary arteries. It’s wise to find out what’s going before you implement a plan. I take a Statin and I eat a proper heart healthy diet. A lot of what Aseem is saying is bang on. But he’s not explaining that a lot of the studies on statins didn’t include diet restrictions. The studies that included dietary markers had very good results. Statins aren’t for everyone at all, he’s correct that they’re widely over prescribed. But if you have plaque in your artery’s they help calcify soft plaque the reduce inflammation and help thin the blood as well as reduce ldl and triglycerides. So anyone with high cholesterol or in their 40s-50s should get a CT calcium score or angiogram, before making any plans based off assumptions. If you’re over 70 don’t stress it.

My late Dad went on about diet and health for over 55 years. He was ahead of his time he died 43 days before his 100th birthday the only medication he was on was a memory tablet once a day. He had age related dementia. He had only been in hospital once for 5 days due to food poisning
John thank you so much for this interview. I adore both of you and follow both of you. I was taught the same as you, but now appreciate the new research and clinical medicine. I also ende on the wrong side of Covid intervention. But the research proved otherwise. Thank you.
As an experienced ICU nurse, my parents didn‘t got these statins, because of the multiple serious side effects. The diet is a big factor for us. Thanks for sharing👍👍👍
I was prescribed statins in my early 30s, and I am very slim (luck of genetics) and active, but had slightly elevated cholesterol. I took it for a month or so, and decided that it was ridiculous, so I stopped. I’m now 56 and have somehow not succumbed to any heart-related events. Never trusted doctors after that. (No jabs for me!)
The brain is 60 percent cholesterol, so I am concerned about dementia with the aggressive cholesterol control being pushed. Cholesterol is needed for cell membranes.
I switched to protein shakes and stayed sugar free for a year. Get a nice flavoured one, add things like oats and milk and consume two or three daily. They taste as good as any sugary food, plus leave you feeling full . They also encourage you to work out more.
I can highly recommend going on the candida diet. I did that several years ago. Hardest thing I ever did and the only diet I have ever been on. The length of the diet varies according to how severe your case is. I would deffinitely look for a consultant to help you through it should you decide on the candida diet. I did lead a fairly healthy lifestyle prior to the diet, but was addicted to the hidden sugar. Greetings from Denmark
Exactly. My naturopathic dr wanted to test me for that he put in a vial some brewers yeast for me to stand and hold in my hand with arm out. Omg that instant my brain bounced backwards, eyes rolled behind eyelids knees buckled. He grabbed me and apologized and said yess you do have candida
Thanks very much for the excellent information, it's great to know how careful you should be with medicines. Important is that you read the small letter and check allways the side effects of the medication.
I'm 67 too, low BP, no diabetes, and high total cholesterol. High LDL like you, 1.3 Triglyc.. The doctor wanted to give me statins, and I refused. Old women don't die from cholesterol. Statistically, the low cholesterol people die twice as much as the high chol. people.
Always great to hear Dr A.M. Stress also depletes folate and B12, plus cofactors required for methylation, which will impair the remethylation of homocysteine.

My triglycerides plummeted by going low carb and my HDL went up. Get the triglycerides to HDL ratio below 1 and you’re on the right course. I now eat full fat everything, eat lots of protein, avoid carbs and anything labelled low fat. My palate changed too as discussed. I also put type 2 diabetes into remission within 3 months after being newly diagnosed. I also came off statins and a BP tablet. I chose science over tablets. As a PhD biologist and Chartered Biologist I used my training to fix myself. I now help out on some NHS low carb programmes. Dr John - you should interview Mark Hancock and myself to open peoples eyes.
I basically do the same occasionally 2 meals a day if involved in social gatherings. I have even reversed my heart disease on the Linus Pauling Heart Protocol verified by CAC Score.
I wasn't let down by the government, they did what I expected, I knew they were up to no good. I was let down by my fellow citizens that fell for it and took no steps to research or question the narrative or the product they got injected with......
My bad cholesterol is 300, my good cholesterol is very high. Doctor did scan and found 0 build up in arteries. So did not put me on any meds. My first doctor years ago put me on Lipitor, but I stopped taking them. Statins I hear are not good for you. Thanks for this info.
I was 16st plus for years. I watched what I ate, and didn't budge. Then I cut out seed oils, and ate more natural fat. Beef, pork lard, extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil ect. I also was cutting down a lot of sugar. I also drank the same 50 to 60 units of alcohol every weekend like I always have, since I was 20 plus. I'm now 42, and since 2 years ago on the new diet. I now weight 13st and I have not starved one bit. I feel so much better, and more ache free. If I cut out the alcohol, I think I would be even lighter. I eat like a king and look much better. Bacon and egg was always a bad thing I was told. To hell with what I was told, I now know better.
Fascinating consultation. I can't help wondering how hungry someone who does strenuous physical work might get without carbs? It is a great loss to the NHS that you no longer work for them, Aseem.. Love your holistic clinical approach. Your manner, knowledge and straightforward explanations inspire trust and I can imagine these qualities promote the confidence needed in patients to be more proactive in their health and wellbeing.
If you are a hardworking bloke who gets hungry, try eating more beef. Steaks are great but a slow braised brisket with the extra fat is wonderful. Sausages and ground beef too.
Thank you Dr John and Dr Malhotra. I'd love to learn more about how to care for my health and read blood test reports. The more we can learn the better we can help ourselves.
So glad he mentioned Alcohol, so many don’t mention the problems it causes on the body. Haven’t touched Alcohol or any form of drug, illegal or prescription for all my 55 years.

I've been telling my patients about the connection between carbohydrates (especially refined sugar) and cholesterol for 20 years. That, and exercise (or lack thereof) affect cholesterol much more than fat intake. A few other important connections: Statins adversely affect CoEnzyme Q10 levels. CoQ10 is an important component of energy production in muscle cells, and the biggest concentration is in your heart muscle. General muscle pain is one of the side effects of statin use, and since the greatest amount of CoQ10 is found in heart muscle, its obvious that taking statins will hurt, not help your heart. Cholesterol plaquing in the blood vessels happens when sugar in the blood damages the lining of the blood vessel walls. Cholesterol is used as a band-aid to cover the injury. Technically, it's not cholesterol that is the problem anyway, it's oxidized cholesterol. Taking antioxidants are helpful. One last observation/suggestion: A fibrinolytic enzyme called Nattokinase gobbles up cholesterol. Combined with lecithin, they act like Drano to clean out your blood vessels. I've had personal experience with that combination when an ultrasound of my carotid arteries showed moderate plaquing. I used Nattokinase and lecithin for the year until the next scan and my arteries were completely clear. You're welcome 🙂
At 65, my numbers nearly the same as Dr Campbell, this feels like the talk I had with additional details. So glad I can have a glass of wine with my dinner.
I have had enormous trouble controlling my anger over the past several years, but it's impossible to explain quite why to anyone who works for the NHS, or the BBC.
I think the next scandal is Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPIs) for heartburn. There's a big class action against them here in Aust. After 20years on them I have learned carbohydrates are a huge problem for me. I take a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda in a shot glass of water before bed, or as needed. I've also found chewing a sliver of fresh ginger helps stimulate my stomach to empty itself, and eating raw cabbage really soothes an inflamed stomach lining. It's taken a few months to calm my stomach and I do crave starch and sugar still - but I know I'll suffer if I weaken.
I had a Radial Nerve Palsy! Was diagnosed as having a TIA by a paramedic team, because I couldn't move all my hand, junior Dr followed the paramedics diagnosis". Immediately prescribed Clopidorel & Statins. Despite perfect observations & physical exams, dye CT all clear, brain MRI perfect! I have 30yrs Op Theatres professional career! I refused the prescriptions, yet they still came! Eventually, after 2mths, paid privately £400 for nerve conduction studies! Guess what? I was right! Fabulous I was offered a statin this week but on the basis of Aseem malhortas previous videos declined. Once I did that my GPsaid that exactly the choice he would make. Without very brave doctors speaking out we would all be stuffed full of drugs instead of making choices. 🙏
great to see that the low-carb/no-statins message is spreading from its initial niche in the outlands of the internet towards the mainstream of the health services around the world
My late Dad went on about diet and health for over 55 years. He was ahead of his time he died 43 days before his 100th birthday the only medication he was on was a memory tablet once a day. He had age related dementia. He had only been in hospital once for 5 days due to food poisning
You two are awesome! And creative! Love it! And thank you for the important information.
Great information. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Thank you both so much
John thank you so much for this interview.
I got rid of my terrible sugar addiction by replacing all sugars through Xylit within 2 weeks. Best regards from Belgium and all the best John
I switched to protein shakes and stayed sugar free for a year. Get a nice flavoured one, add things like oats and milk and consume two or three daily. They taste as good as any sugary food, plus leave you feeling full . They also encourage you to work out more.
Yes Dr Berg is helpful xylitol great but poison to animals beware
Good info
Thanks very much for the excellent information, it's great to know how careful you should be with medicines. Important is that you read the small letter and check allways the side effects of the medication.
Dr. Campell you're legend! Sharp as a weasel!
Thank you Dr John Campbell and Dr Malhotra for the video ❤️
I'm 67 too, low BP, no diabetes, and high total cholesterol. High LDL like you, 1.3 Triglyc.. The doctor wanted to give me statins, and I refused. Old women don't die from cholesterol. Statistically, the low cholesterol people die twice as much as the high chol. people.
Always great to hear Dr A.M. Stress also depletes folate and B12, plus cofactors required for methylation, which will impair the remethylation of homocysteine.
Thank you both for sharing, such great information. Take care John
A genuine caring Nurse. 😭🙏🏽 I would have loved to work as your patient care tech or phlebotomist i dont know what they call them across the pond or down under. 😢 You're an absolute legend, Dr. John! Simply because you care enough to share and advocate and listen! 🙏🏽
Nice approach John. Very smart.
Such a fortunate Man you are John Campbell. Thank you so much and thank you Dr. Malhotra. I believe the ship is turning.🌞
Thanks for sharing this Dr Campbell 🙏
I am so sorry Dr Aseem has been punished and penalised for his courage and honesty
I have been eating one meal a day for four months and have never felt better. 60 years young
I basically do the same occasionally 2 meals a day if involved in social gatherings. I have even reversed my heart disease on the Linus Pauling Heart Protocol verified by CAC Score.
This is so relevant to me. Thank you. Same dilemma being pushed into medication
Loved this! Like listening to 'House'. Wouldn't it be great if our docs took half this time to explain this stuff to patients.
Excellent video and Guest as always!! Thank you Dr. Campbell!!!! Slava Ukraine 🇺🇦!!!!
Thanks
I try and watch Dr J regularly 😊
I wasn't let down by the government, they did what I expected, I knew they were up to no good. I was let down by my fellow citizens that fell for it and took no steps to research or question the narrative or the product they got injected with......
My bad cholesterol is 300, my good cholesterol is very high. Doctor did scan and found 0 build up in arteries. So did not put me on any meds. My first doctor years ago put me on Lipitor, but I stopped taking them. Statins I hear are not good for you. Thanks for this info.
Brilliant sir!
My goodness, there’s nothing like going to the best!
Market gardener here, More energy and clarity for physical work .Diet improved efficiently while working.
If you are a hardworking bloke who gets hungry, try eating more beef. Steaks are great but a slow braised brisket with the extra fat is wonderful. Sausages and ground beef too.
Excellente vidéo Dr john Campbell, vous me surprenez à chaque fois. Merci 😉.👍👍
Good show today. Great information dovetails with my reading on the subject. Got my husband off statins.
So helpful. Thank you both SO much. I now have a clear way forward 😊
We love you both ❤❤❤
Thank you Dr John and Dr Malhotra.
Wow, John, you got a 20+ consult with your cardiologist. Lucky you! A short and sweet video, it couldn't be easier and clearer. ❤-health ❤ Jut eat the right way, we don't need carbs and sugars. A great allround specialist, thanks for your amazing film!
The evils that roam this earth are multiplying at an alarming rate, they no longer care about hiding because they have so many followers.
Media Induced Frantic Frustration. Miff for short. Or miffed if you prefer.
Try more fat - could help the brain stay in control.
Thank you so much for sharing this, John. You and I are the same age so this has been really beneficial.
I never took these meds, that could have had adverse side-effects! 18 mnths later got a sack full of meds to take back to my GP!😅 Eventually, this month GP has backed down & taken these unnecessary meds off my record! What a waste! Thankfully, I have knowledge! But, what about the public who have no understanding?

From of the covid times, and having had 1 dose of the pfizer, and getting so sick from it ,and worrying over the possible long term effects of the jab has put a lot of extra stress on me.
