I have been dealing with multiple health issues for the last 8 years, most stemming from a hidden condition that I was born with. In the last 3 years alone, I have required more hospitalizations than I can count on all my fingers and toes. Practically EVERYTHING that is used in the hospital is either plastic or packaged in plastic to keep it sterile I seriously doubt that I would still be here if the plastic industry was destroyed. We have overwhelming use of plastics. We can't stop without a replacement. However we need stricter responsibility of preventing the plastic ending in the ocean which is killing our sea life. The landfills are being overwhelmed. Recycling has to be mandated and used.

I worked for a hazmat and emergency response company and we used a microbial solution to clean up oil spills. We took our contaminated soil to a landfill that would use there own solution to break down organic material from plastic to paper and when it’s broken down and becomes part of the soil they would resell for landscaping

It’s easy for stupid people to be SJWs and just say get rid of all plastic or then change your mind like this woman does and say end all single use plastic and then say she doesn’t believe any plastic should be recycled and that makes everything plastic single use. and that is just as bad as the single use fiberglass blades used on the wind generators they are about 100’ long and they have three of them and they have a small demand for recycling but the vast majority are run over with bulldozers and smashed down as small as possible and buried in the ground taking up a lot of landfill acres and they take like a thousand years to break down even a little and they are very poisonous to the environment because of the resins used to make the fabric solid
We have overwhelming use of plastics. We can't stop without a replacement. However we need stricter responsibility of preventing the plastic ending in the ocean which is killing our sea life. The landfills are being overwhelmed. Recycling has to be mandated and used.
He needs to explain the Amish to her and ask her how she would feel if the Amish forced their beliefs and lifestyle on others while simultaneously not even living by their own beliefs.
What these ignorant people don't realize is not using plastic brings more environmental and health harm. They should do a little research on why we started using plastic, instead of blindly condemning it.

We do need to stop the industry from making plastic. They should find something to replace it and shouldn’t we be wearing glass as glasses and not plastic? Why do they sell them in plastic? Why do they make them in plastic?

I worked for a hazmat and emergency response company and we used a microbial solution to clean up oil spills. We took our contaminated soil to a landfill that would use there own solution to break down organic material from plastic to paper and when it’s broken down and becomes part of the soil they would resell for landscaping
