    I feel bad for her biological mother because her daughter is emotionally attached to another woman. And mother daughter love may never be there for her.

    • @Jenni.P
      @Jenni.P 5 ปีที่แล้ว +215

      @Ana Ta no I disagree the daughter should be more compassionate to atleast not be so loving to her kidnapper in front of her moms face. Like she knows that she lost her after 8 hours and to still be loving to the kidnapper SO openly is like putting acid on an already broken heart.

      @Jenni Pie Kamiyah is just as much of victim as her mother. Some of you act as if Kamiyah asked to be kidnapped and raised by another woman. Its not her fault that she was not allowed the chance to have the same bond with her bio mother as she does as the woman who took her from her bio mother. She can’t force herself to hate the woman who raised and loved her as her mother. So I think there needs to be some compassion for the innocent child as well.

    • @Jenni.P
      @Jenni.P 5 ปีที่แล้ว +52

      @@Prince-newyork I understand that and I feel terrible that she went through and I'm not saying she has to stop loving her kidnapper cause she has such a strong bond with what I am saying is not to rub it in her actual moms face like she goes around on interviews saying oh I love my kidnapper and me and my mom are having trouble and though that may be true, to publicize your love of your kidnapper over you mom knowing what she went through is just cruel. I'm not telling her how to feel I'm saying try to keep it private for the sake of her mom cause its hurting her

    • @Prince-newyork
      @Prince-newyork 5 ปีที่แล้ว +40

      @Jenni Pie To yall she’s just the kidnapper but to Kamiyah she is the only mother she knows, Kamiyah is the only one who has that mother and daughter bond with her, not y’all,so of coarse you’re going to only see her as the evil woman who stole a child. But that woman manipulated Kamiyah her whole life to have her thinking that she is her mother. I don’t think she’s rubbing it in her bio mothers face but this is just the situation that she is in. The woman she just met as her bio mother, is a stranger to her. I think that they can eventually bond but it is going to take time.

    I lost my first baby at 9 months pregnant 😢 and I couldn't imagine taking someone elses baby. I use to hug a teddy bear pretending it was my son and then 11 months later i became pregnant again and had another son who is a healthy 2 year old. I was hurt but not selfish.
    Edit: thank you so much for your likes and comments. Five years ago this was so taboo to talk about at least in my family so I am happy my story is helping others. I now have a 4 year old son and 2 month old daughter. My son in heaven will be 5 this November 💙 if your grieving the loss of a child trust the process you will make it through.

I could/would never simply because I wouldn’t be able to live with the guilt of lying to the child every day.

The daughter wants both families to be happy and that is all that can be done at this moment. I pray both families come into terms and the mother heals her pain in time. For example, one of my first cousins was united with her biological father - even though my aunt's trifling ass was married to my late uncle during the window of conception and for thirty-two years, afterward.
      Kimayah could've been located by a DNA match, like my cousin, through Ancestry.com, or other reputable DNA companies, without Shanara even looking for her bio daughter, specifically.
      Shanara Mobley spent her portion of the settlement money faster than "CBS" fired "Jimmy the Greek," back in the day. Meanwhile, she cast aside her daughter because she couldn't understand, or get help in understanding, that she and Kimayah were virtual strangers to each other, despite the birth connection. Shanara, at least, could've followed through with appearing on the "Iyanla, Fix My Life" episode with her daughter and baby's daddy, a convicted rapist, Craig Aiken, since it was she who wrote Miss Iyanla in the first place. It perhaps would've made a difference in Kimayah's acting out on the show, and helped Shanara understand "Stockholm Syndrome" and its effects. Stay safe, mvbo31, RN, MSN/MPH.

      @Nicole J. you sound stupid, that would cause no harm raised that girl like a mother should, as matter of fact raised her way better then the 15 year old who had another daughter after her who’s teenager with a baby, so the girl who’s oldest at 18 or 21 has a niece crazy

    The way she looks at Gloria vs the way she looks at Shanara when they're in court is so sad. Gloria really ruined a whole family and yet she gets sympathy bc she was involved in church and "raised her right" but after watching this it's obvious she didn't, besides it wasn't her child to raise. My heart breaks for Shanara bc even though they found Kamiyah she's not actually there :(

      Looks like she was raised okay to me. However I saw another comment under this video saying they wished there was a counselor to help Kamiyah & her biological mother with repairing their relationship. & I absolutely agree with that. Because as much as you want that bond with your daughter after finally finding her, it's not an easy process. She's still very much HUMAN, they both are! Her biological mother was desperate for that bond and it led her to behaving in ways that, naturally, would cause Kamiyah to create distance. I know that's frustrating and hurtful as a mother but you cannot push too hard with this type of situation. The emotions are very real for both of them. This young girl, Kamiyah, didn't ask for her life to unravel like this. She cannot help who she naturally bonded to for all of those years. To her, that's the woman that took care of her, nurtured her, raised her. That's the woman who was there for her first steps, first birthday. You cannot help what you didn't know. Imagine if someone told you that your mother or father wasn't really your biological parent. You would feel torn and confused too. There is no snapping out of it or forcing yourself to feel that same bond with someone you've just met so quickly. I just hate to see how their relationship turned out. They could've really been close, they still can, but healthy boundaries and understanding are needed. And a LOT of patience. My best wishes to this young woman and her families. Praying her relationship with her real mother gets better, it's truly a process.

      It’s great her upbringing was good and she was loved but the woman who raised her, was a criminal and committed a selfish act but kidnapping someone’s child these kidnappers don’t think they’ll caught but when the kid grows up and applies for a credit card, apply for collage go for there license or are looking for a job, they need a valid social security card kr birth certificate to do so. Then when there’s no record of birth or citizenship, things are looking real shady

      @@shay4101 the most sensible comment from someone who gets it. Yes Gloria was wrong, criminally wrong, Alexis/Kimayah (A/K)didn't know this throughout her life, she loves and knows the person who has been in her life since birth. The one who nurtured and loved her. The biological mom Shanerra (sp) is also right in how she feels, she was robbed of her newborn after bonding for 9 months through pregnancy, that robbing was worse than a death, a baby is gone just disappeared, taken by a stranger...fast forward to their present reckoning she feels such animosity towards the kidnapper who robbed her and is unable to realize that this travesty is not just about her but also the kidnapped baby that is know a young adult A/K. Counseling would have been a useful tool to hopefully allow (bio-mom) and child to see that. This relationship was not going to be instant no matter how much it's wanted just because she birthed her. It's going to take a great deal of time. They will forge their own bond that is right for them. Bio-mom will have to be open to "different" but it would still allow love. I can't even say like others, this was Stockholm Syndrome, A/K was kidnapped, she was a hostage but because she was an infant there is no memory of these events and what she was left with is a memory of seeing a person daily who cared for her. How did we know our parents are our parents, we assess it without knowing what that means. If Gloria was truly remorseful she would allow her non-child to have the necessary time without interference (schedule talks & visits when A/K is not with bio-mom). She should also continue letting A/K know she stole from her too, yes she was selfish and wanted a child but had no right to take her from her mother. Help her to see why her bio-mom feels such anger ... my guess is non of the individuals have the mature mental acuity to do any of these things. I pray that 3 yrs later they have all found some peace and a positive way to navigate through this unfortunate circumstance.

    I feel like this poor girl loves her momma “kidnapper” because she gave her a good life, she was loved by this woman, grandparents her whole family.. i feel terrible for her biological mother all the years she lost with her babygirl but all this girl can think about is the years where her “momma” was there for her, her hugs, her kisses it’s just hard. She is not a victim of brainwashing as she was never brainwashed, she was raised FROM BIRTH the same as other people who bring their children home and raise them. The problem is she was stolen so to kick this woman out of her life by restraining order is creating another victim KAMIYAH. As much as we all hate it Kamiyah has never been Kamiyah. The true victim here is Shanyah Mobley. I am not a fan of Kamiyah as on Iyanla she showed herself. In the worse circumstances you don't show respect? You don't show (as she claims) how good she was raised? Shanyah showed dignity when she sat on that courtroom stand. She didn't blurt out any of the words i would have faced with the same situation

The fact that she even questioned the officer during interrogation asking if he had a warrant shows that if they didn’t do the investigative work, she wouldn’t have ever turned herself in. Stupid, heartless woman. She really ruined so many lives. Many kids would have committed self harm over information like this. Completely selfish.

    I mean it must hurt because she calls the woman who raised her “mom” and not her mother who birthed her and wants her and that is so upsetting how do you steal a baby. Why would you steal a baby? You ruined a family and ruined relationships .. that can never be crafted. And on both sides not just the life of her real mother and everyone who surrounded her but the girls « aunt » who was so upset and seems like such a sweetheart. You can’t be mad at the daughter because... she only knows Gloria as a mother and it makes sense that she isn’t so mad at Gloria and in time other things might happen but who knows.

      just me it’s so hurtful that this narcissistic person didn’t concern anyone else’s needs and feelings. Only her own selfish need & desires to keep a man by false pretenses with a premeditated kidnapping. Possibly feeing that the birth mother was young & didn’t deserve the child as she convinced herself that she could. Self righteous bitch probably was never pregnant.

    It's so weird to think that people can't understand that this young woman who was abducted was raised by this woman who cared for her and loved her. She built a relationship with this woman, and it makes sense that she would still want to maintain that if she was treated well. Yes, Gloria did a bad thing, and I can understand why the real mother would feel that negativity.
