I think the bigger question is, how does she feel? Her entire life has been a lie, and while she probably will have increased perspective when she becomes a mother, it won't change how much she understands about herself. Quite frankly, though, in a lot of ways it's not about her mother. It sounds like you're suggesting she's being selfish. The girl was kidnapped and she just found out a few years ago. Her mother may have had a child be kidnapped, but she .....was kidnapped. When is it time for the mother to understand how she feels? If her mother is really going to be invested in being a mother, she has to deal with the cold blow of getting her child back without blaming her for what she's gone through.
Exactly that mom carried that child for 9 months..just for someone to steal her..missed all of her childhood..and supposed to let her get away with that??..And the daughter attitude is like she doesn't care...I mean I understand the was kidnapped so she does know her mom...but come on this is the woman that gave you life..I would already be devastated that she was kidnapped but even more devastated that my child want the person that kidnapped her to continue on being her mom and still keeps me in non exsistence.. I understand Kamaya is in a messed up position, but I feel so bad for the Birth Mother. To see my kidnapped child still call her kidnapper Mom...That would break my heart over and over again. I couldn't live with that. I would just be happy Kamaya is still alive but probably let her go unless she didn't want me to.
It devastates the birth mother to see her baby defend the kidnapper. Gloria is cunning and subtle just like the devil. The whole family needs extensive counseling for at least a year.

It is obvious over the years these individuals really did not receive council in regards to what would the future look like with their daughter being returned. I'm sorry but some of you all on this thread are absolutely crazy. All that forgiveness stuff sounds good until it's your kid that has been kidnapped. I can only imagine the heartbreak and emotions that her biological family went through. She should pay for what she did. Jail time is nothing compared to what she put that family through. Imagine someone taking your child practically at birth and you're deprived of their entire childhood all the way up to adulthood. That's beyond cruel. She can't get that time back with her child. How could you do that to anyone? What's even more sad is that the girl will probably always look at the kidnapper as her mom bc that's all she knows. However, she has to understand why her biological parents are infuriated, hurt, sad, and all the above. She at least owes that to her real parents bc it's not their fault either. That woman robbed her real parents and even though she has found her daughter now...she may never really have a relationship with her especially if her kidnapper gets locked up bc I don't think the daughter wants her in jail. I’ve just had my first baby and I can’t imagine going through this. I remember crying while pregnant praying I get to meet her and she’s healthy. Yes I did see her on Fix My Life. She needs a lot of help. She did not ask for what has happened to her. Her birth Mother did not ask for what happened either. Ms Williams caused all this pain. I do not think that this young lady has to have hate in her heart for GW. I doubt if her birth mother expects that she should hate Williams. However I fully understand that Ms Mobley resents that GW and her extended family won’t back off and allow this young woman the opportunity to bond with her birth family. They are interfering with that process. They do not want GE to spend time for her crimes. Keeping this young lady engaged with Gloria can only help them in that quest. she was 16, spent 42 weeks forming her in her stomach, birthed her long and painful. Spent 7 beautiful hours with her and then the last hour a monster entered and took her.SHE WAS ONLY 16 YEARS OLD. Imagine that pain !!! I got pregnant at 16 had her at 17 I cant bare the thought of my baby girl asleep next to me, GONE . The pain she was feeling physically from birth then such mental and emotional torture all while going home alone. I can't imagine all this all those years ago. Such heart ache 😭😭

She lost her baby due to miscarriage and drove from S.C to Mississippi not long after and kidnapped that baby girl... They didn't kno her baby died all they knew was she was pregnant and then came home with a baby... So sad!

I am a foster carer children come into care from abusive neglect family if you was to ask them about home some would say it was loving etc they know no different. so here the child knows no different she got years ahead of her to reflect wait till she has a child them the reality of her nightmare will begin. Alissa Hailey-Darty,...it's 20 yrs not 27... BUT the number makes no difference really. The only good thing is that the parents actually got to see her and hold her 18 yrs after the kidnapping. Many kidnapped babies get killed. No excuse for the kidnapper but at least they get to see their child. I have heard many parents say that they wish they could know what their child look like, or just to hug their child etc.

I can only imagine the heartbreak and emotions that her biological family went through. She should pay for what she did. Jail time is nothing compared to what she put that family through. Imagine someone taking your child practically at birth and you're deprived of their entire childhood all the way up to adulthood. That's beyond cruel. She can't get that time back with her child. I’ve just had my first baby and I can’t imagine going through this. I remember crying while pregnant praying I get to meet her and she’s healthy. To not only have her stolen and have to continue living, but then seeing her alive living a different identity would be enough to destroy anyone’s willpower. That woman deserves the full extent of the law’s punishment, she impacted so many people for her own selfish benefits.
