Just lost a friend 2 weeks ago.. she had just become a travel nurse. Her bf shot her in the head and then himself.. she was only 24 and had 2 daughters. These people are getting crazy out here.
Her mom tried to leave. Most of the time there is no way to leave unless the ones closest to the victim also disappear because they will usually kill or destroy anything that is important to the victim. That’s the thing. Abusers like that threaten to kill or destroy whatever is precious to their victims.
I understand the Mom's fears, but I would've thought about my children when making choices in partners. With dude not having a home, a car or nothing tangible he had nothing too lose by hurting her and her kids. LADIES MAKE WISER CHOICES follow your instincts if not for yourself for YOUR KIDS. No man is worth this type of trauma to your family. Just awful and I pray for this baby.

Her mother ran to save their lives. She knew he wanted to kill her more than anyone else. She knew he would have run after her, and the others would have an opportunity to escape. The brother was too badly injured or probably dead at that point. This is so heart-rending. I see and feel some of the pain she's going through. I pray complete healing for you, sweetheart. But her brain is also trying to recapture all the images an details exactly the way it took place in order for her to speak of it in such detail and you can see that her wounds will heal but her mental state will forever replay each captured image for the rest of her life. It does seem wrong to have the interview so early but they want to get answers while it’s still fresh in her mind. I mean I’m 1000000% sure she’ll never forget it but it’s better done sooner than later. She was probably on some pain medication due to being stabbed and that’s why her eyes are rolling.
It's real. Her authenticity and real emotion can shift someone's heart to get out of an abusive relationship that they have been holding on to (particularly a mother who is in that situation). Someone is in need of the NOW that is revealed so it serves a purpose. The LORD will give her rest. He got her through it so He will surely give her rest and comfort her through it all.
So heartbreaking, shes a warrior and she is going to be scarred for life. Hope her sister be ok and they can start a new journey together. Alexis is the protector.
I was recently stabbed 6 times and suffered severe hand injury as a defensive wound. This child is very strong and very, very lucky. I deplore that there are few survivors of stabbings and I deplore the lack of support for us. I am going to change this before I die, I promise.

I watched Alexis tell her story on another series. I hope she is able to have some relief and healing and peace at some point. I survived a violent attack in 2014 and I know the feeling of being hyper vigilant and scared all waking and sleeping hours. People would tell me I would cry in my sleep. There is never a normal after a violent tragedy like this, trauma is forever. Alexis is so strong, a survivor. She deserves all good things in life, and I hope she realizes all her wildest dreams in the future. ❤

I just believe in getting to know a person at least six months, before I bring them around my family. That’s not long enough. When my nephew was little, I never let him meet anyone I was dating. I learned from the guy I’d dated prior, to not allow him to get attached to anyone else. So, it turned out to be a smart move for all of us.

This is incredibly heartbreaking. I was tearing up the entire time and struggling not to cry. The pain she has endured is unfathomable. I can’t imagine watching my mother and brother die at the hands of such a horrible, selfish, heartless monster. The part when she said he told her mom he was going to make her kill her own baby girl was horrific and a true nightmare. It was extremely brave and courageous of Alexis to share her story with the world. My heart and prayers go out to Alexis and sweet baby KK. I hope you get the help and support you need to get through this tragedy. I also hope Jermaine gets what’s coming to him and has a HORRENDOUS time in prison. Some people want to talk its their therapy. Some people want the information to be known. If at anypoint she didn't want to she could have left or stopped talking. People leave in the middle of interviews often. When you experience a large trauma talking about it or not talking about it is your choice.
I wish I could throw my arms around this girl and just hug her tight, and let her grieve. She’s a tough young lady, and I pray that God and her surviving family, and her friends help her through her pain and help her find the right people who can help her process the horrific day she lived through and what she saw happen to her loved ones.

I asked my mom to help me but she said talon to a preacher bc it's a sin to divorce. I talked to my pastor and he said.. NO, IT'S NOT A SIN TO LEAVE FOR THE SAFETY OF YOU AND YOUR BABIES....GOD WOULD NOT AND DOES NOT WANT YOU TO LIVE IN DANGER. So, I kicked him out of MY HOUSE. I GOT THAT HOUSE BY WORKING MY BUTT OFF SO HE WAS THE 1 LEAVING. Sadly, I met a 44yr old man who saw my weakness of being single with 2 kids. He manipulated me to think he was going to love me And my kids. So, I started staying with him. After 2 months, I was in the hospital with a broken back. We worked together, right..so, we woke up, went to work together and came home, his place together. At this time I didn't have my own car.. He started being EXTREMELY controlling. He put a recorder on the landline phone so he could listen to every call I was on.. he lived on a hill that was a dead end. There was wooded hills behind his house that was wayyyy deep in the country. He put a camera at the end of the driveway to see if anyone pulled up to get me. I was truly trapped! 1 day we were walking out of the house to go to work and he had smacked me so hard the night before, so I wanted to cover it up. I don't wear make-up for the most part. All that I had was a compact with powder foundation. We were walking out and he told me to out first and I was not paying total attention bc I was looking in my compact mirror to cover my black eye. The next thing I knew after I walked out on the porch was....I went head first down 11 steps. He kicked me in my back do hard m if cracked my tailbone and misaligned my disc's in my spine. The fall busted my head, a few teeth and broke my arm. When it happened THANK GOD the mail lady had been drove up to the house to put mail in the mailbox. She called the police and Ambulance. I don't know my kids and I could've ever gotten away. Before this day, he had gotten a huge, thick package from his ex wife's Lawyer. It was a 300 paged letter detailing the things his ex was putting charges on him for. Mind you, my daughter was only 9 months old..a baby. My son, only 2yrs old, a baby 😢 He had me read it to him bc he couldn't read. As I read it, my entire body went numb at the disgusting details I was reading that he did to her and her 11yr old daughter. S3x4al things to her daughter. I was scared with fear he had done something to 1 of my babies. I needed to escape. But m he lived down a holler, it was 15 minutes by car from the start of the holler to his house. I couldn't walk with 2 babies, 1 who could really walk, and 1 who was barely a good walker.. I am kind of thankful he kicked me bc Idk if we all all would have survived much longer. He was hitting me 20 plus times a day.. he started getting aggressive Wirth my son 😭 he hated him. I could tell he was jealous of him. Please try to get your mama to watch this video and tell her my story, so it encourages her to leave her partner _BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!_ Also, be gentle with her, please understand she doesn't want to live like that, but we often get imprisoned mentally and Idk what happens in our Minds to keep going back to an abuser. We ALL always said we'd never be that girl who would be sith an abuser, until it's too late and it takes something big to wake us up from that inner denial we didn't realize we were in. Maybe the focus should be more on men getting mental health help when they need it so that they don't end up trying to wipe out entire families. We always focus on how the woman needs to be better, think better, act faster. What we need to focus on is making it so the men who eventually end up in people's lives don't do this shit. I watched Alexis tell her story on another series. I hope she is able to have some relief and healing and peace at some point. I survived a violent attack in 2014 and I know the feeling of being hyper vigilant and scared all waking and sleeping hours. People would tell me I would cry in my sleep.
There is never a normal after a violent tragedy like this, trauma is forever. Alexis is so strong, a survivor. She deserves all good things in life, and I hope she realizes all her wildest dreams in the future. ❤

Some people want to talk its their therapy. Some people want the information to be known. If at anypoint she didn't want to she could have left or stopped talking. People leave in the middle of interviews often. When you experience a large trauma talking about it or not talking about it is your choice.

NO, IT'S NOT A SIN TO LEAVE FOR THE SAFETY OF YOU AND YOUR BABIES....GOD WOULD NOT AND DOES NOT WANT YOU TO LIVE IN DANGER.
So, I kicked him out of MY HOUSE. I GOT THAT HOUSE BY WORKING MY BUTT OFF SO HE WAS THE 1 LEAVING.
Sadly, I met a 44yr old man who saw my weakness of being single with 2 kids. He manipulated me to think he was going to love me
And my kids.
So, I started staying with him. After 2 months, I was in the hospital with a broken back.
We worked together, right..so, we woke up, went to work together and came home, his place together.
At this time I didn't have my own car.. He started being EXTREMELY controlling. He put a recorder on the landline phone so he could listen to every call I was on.. he lived on a hill that was a dead end. There was wooded hills behind his house that was wayyyy deep in the country.
He put a camera at the end of the driveway to see if anyone pulled up to get me. I was truly trapped!
1 day we were walking out of the house to go to work and he had smacked me so hard the night before, so I wanted to cover it up.
I don't wear make-up for the most part. All that I had was a compact with powder foundation.
We were walking out and he told me to out first and I was not paying total attention bc I was looking in my compact mirror to cover my black eye.
The next thing I knew after I walked out on the porch was....I went head first down 11 steps. He kicked me in my back do hard m if cracked my tailbone and misaligned my disc's in my spine.
The fall busted my head, a few teeth and broke my arm.
When it happened THANK GOD the mail lady had been drove up to the house to put mail in the mailbox.
She called the police and Ambulance.
I don't know my kids and I could've ever gotten away.
Before this day, he had gotten a huge, thick package from his ex wife's Lawyer. It was a 300 paged letter detailing the things his ex was putting charges on him for.
Mind you, my daughter was only 9 months old..a baby. My son, only 2yrs old, a baby 😢
He had me read it to him bc he couldn't read. As I read it, my entire body went numb at the disgusting details I was reading that he did to her and her 11yr old daughter. S3x4al things to her daughter. I was scared with fear he had done something to 1 of my babies.
I needed to escape. But m he lived down a holler, it was 15 minutes by car from the start of the holler to his house.
I couldn't walk with 2 babies, 1 who could really walk, and 1 who was barely a good walker..
I am kind of thankful he kicked me bc Idk if we all all would have survived much longer.
He was hitting me 20 plus times a day.. he started getting aggressive Wirth my son 😭 he hated him. I could tell he was jealous of him.
Please try to get your mama to watch this video and tell her my story, so it encourages her to leave her partner _BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!_

Maybe the focus should be more on men getting mental health help when they need it so that they don't end up trying to wipe out entire families.
