- During her sentencing hearing on Friday, the attorney asked Gloria Williams about her trip to Jacksonville 19 years ago. Williams said her reason for coming here was "definitely not to take a baby."

She was confused, heartbroken, a broken person, etc. At moments of clarity (there must have been moments) why did she not call the authorities, drop her off at a police station or church? The crime is not only the abduction itself but more importantly she denied her parents the right to know their baby. To raise their baby. And the many terrible things she put the parents through needlessly. At any time she could have returned the child. She made a conscious choice to keep her. She needs to be severely punished!
