It’s difficult when falling through the trees in a dodge situation because the camera doesn’t auto-adjust behind you. My only qualm with the game is a wish there was a slow, or user defined speed, auto adjust on the camera.
The game really needs a button to switch what item you wanna focus on. It's annoying when you want to grab a rock or a stick but keep telling another ape to wait or trade items with you because he's in the way. Other than that and a few other little things, like the camera, I love this game. It's a great survival game, and a really good attempt at showing evolution in a videogame.
Yup the immersive feeling this game gives you is like youre actually falling and I tend to hold my breath until I've either grabbed something or actually fell to my death lol happened several times. 😅

If you play again, travel as a group. If you can get 6-8 members you can scare off pretty much any predator and keep them all safe. Also if you die while carrying kids for the neuron boost (You should always take the kids with you for the boost) you won't have to go find them. You can also explore a really wide area really quickly and just keep making new settlements anytime you wanna sleep

Literally me on day 1. So much trial and error. I’ve died from blood loss and broken bones probably 20-30 times haha. Now I have like 20 members, all with sharpened sticks and I’ve explored everything, hunted every animal, fully bipedal, and can safely consume meat.
If you have a stick use The joy stick that makes you move towards a sabertooth or a a big bird and then with your stick hold a or x i don’t know what buttion it is for pc and then the sides of your screen will glow up and then release x or a and then you will hit do it over and over again and then it will die but if you want to one shot itgrab a branch alter it with your hands and then use a rock or chopper a chopper is faster if you want know how to craft a chopper if you live at the waterfall at the back use a stick tou lift those rocks and smash the two basalt together and keep hitting the stick and then its sharp If you want to doge do the same thing but point away from the bird or sabertooth

I had the thought when I first saw the nest “that’s how I get killed by the bird from the intro, isn’t it?” So I didn’t go there. But a generation later, I stupidly picked up an egg while I was searching for questing items. The bird killed the only adult male I had in my clan, and the only member with a mutation (metabolism). I was able to recover later, but dang how stupid I felt. You can’t even eat the eggs until you’re omnivorous, so if you have to be at the top of the tree line, aim for a tree to break your fall when the bird swoops since they’re easier to find and take less stamina to climb
That’s happened to me but if you pause the game when your falling or right when you hit the ground and go back to the title screen it takes you back to your last save.

Once you leave the oasis and are brave enough to explore stay in the middle of the trees so big cats can’t get you and birds can’t get you and make sure to have a spear just in case u fall but you don’t die somehow and a cat comes then you will have a weapon
You have to use your senses to get a bearing on the location and then little wisps of light tell you which direction to go until you find a spot that gives you a prompt to conquer your fear, once you hold the button the gray scary shit goes away

This game would’ve been killer if it was online and you had to go to war with other clans for food females and territory.. oh my god this would’ve been a masterpiece
