I truly appreciate the care you take when working on these iconic bags. I've seen other restorations on TH-cam where replacement of original fabric is unnecessarily done and it is painful to watch. You treat the bag with respect. I would most certainly trust you to restore my bags when the time comes. Thank you for displaying your talents to the world.
Beautiful transformation, and an amazing colour! Would love to know roughly how old these kinds of pieces are when they come for restoration. Great job as always!

the result is much better than it was before, although it seems like unfinished work to me. it shows all the brush marks, and the edge of the forward folded part of the bag looks frayed. correct me if I'm wrong.
@@HandbagClinicOfficial ha! i dont know anything about handbags. i just enjoy watching skilled people doing their thing, whether it be bags, paintings, ceramics, woodwork, metal work, any restoration really. i always like the longer vids, so maybe a bag in pretty bad shape, that would need a lot of attention. thanks
We use a variety of techniques and in-house products to craft a refined finish. The Japanese Hake Brush is ideal for exotic leathers, as it’s made of individual Mink hairs that ensure a conservative but more importantly, immaculate finish ✨👜
I assume you‘re saying you hope ALL leather and meat production and consumption stops at some point? Because anything else would be highly hypocritical. Exotic leathers are no different to any other leather. It is a dead animal. PETA has made people believe that exotic leather has its special place in the range of dead animal skins. But it‘s not. They are not exotic in the countries they were bred. It‘s exactly like lamb and cowskin. But your ignorance is forgiven. You have been brainwashed by the biased media and led into this hypocrisy like so many others.
@@Anthropologe fair enough just one question… do you eat alligator? Snake? Mink? “Vegan leather” is just plastic as well. Everything in this industry is al wrong. I think that leather coming from cows etc is still wrong, however if it comes from a place where the animal has been treated with respect and so on, is more “acceptable, lamb and calf skin is not right either, young animals should not be cut off that young from living a decent life. There’s a long way to go for sure but we have to start somewhere and animals such as crocodile and other “exotic” species should be left alone no questions asked.
Oh, and PETA is the least trustworthy organisation, they’re also a bunch of hypocrites. So you k ow, everyone have their own moral standards but common sense is something a lot of people seem to lack
@@DanasLilMakeup I actuall have eaten Alligator in the past, and they are eaten in Asia and the USA. So is snake, but Mink is not. BUT, and that is my personal opinion, it does not make a difference for what cause an animal was killed. We don‘t HAVE to eat meat to survive, it is a luxury. And so are clothes and accessories made from the animals. I don‘t think killing an animal for food is very different to killing an animal for clothes. As I already said it, a dead animal stays a dead animal. I agree that it would be better if all animals were treated with dignity and care until they are slaughtered for whichever use they serve after. But be assured that the exotic leather from the high quality sellers comes from farms just like they have them here for chicken and cows. They aren‘t skinned alive, and all those horrible things they say. I‘m sure there are a couple foul farmers, and that is the same for cows and so on who treat their animals badly. In the end everyone has to decide for themselves whether or not they can live with the thought of an animal being killed for either their food or their clothes. But I just think it‘s totally outta order to be so hateful towards exotic leathers alone. They are not more deserving than the others. I agree, PETA is extremely hypocritical. Especially their ideology that killing the animals they „save“ is ethically better than letting them roam freely on the streets. They shouldn‘t make that decision for any animal.
@@lauraangyal8191 I bought the Angelus finisher and tried it! It does give similar results. What I‘m having a little trouble with is that it stays ever so slightly tacky.. Should I use a towel and give it a good rub, or what would you recommend?
@@Anthropologe Did you get the matte or the glossy? I’d did not experience tackiness..the only thing I noticed is bubbling, but the bubbles pop on their own. I usually use a sponge or brush to apply a thin coat and would personally not rub it. It should dry evenly. Hope this helps:)

Why on earth would the owner not take this bag for repair at Hermes? This bag was over $15K new, for a bag this expensive why not just pay more to have it done right by Hermes?
Because many people don’t want to spend the excessive amounts of time Hermès leather spa takes to fix and deliver your item(s). Why wait 6+ months to a year for something you can get done just as well for less time and probably less money? Simple logic
I’m all for re using where possible but I feel that renovated items should be highlighted when reselling on your website. The buyer wouldn’t be aware that this item was restored unofficially unless they watched this video. Surely that affects the value? There’s no guarantee the restored colour is a genuine reflection of the original. There’s also potential problem if they took it to Hermes in the future.
The more I watch your videos the more I realize they are made for views only. The application of dyes is always horrendous. Just making it look cute for those who don’t know how this is actually done. Theatrics.

Every time I see an orange Hermes box, I wonder what thing of beauty is inside. So glad to see this lovely purse brought back to its original glory 👍.
I feel the same!🙂

That turned out real nice.
Love seeing the before & after 😍
We could watch it allllll day 🥰
These are bedtime stories to me! So relaxing I fall asleep love watching them before sleep! How do they get the colour exact? Amazing
The Birkin may be iconic for a reason but give me a Kelly any day 😍
Why didn’t you do the edge coat? No conditioner??
Yeah I was thinking the same, very confusing. Maybe they did afterwards, and this was only to show the paintjob?
relaxing to watch these. nice job as usual

What product did you use to bring back the sheen/laquer like property of the crocodile leather at the end? The milky stuff that foamed a little bit?
