      @Sideways G These kinda intakes do still usually increase power slightly on these civics.
      besides he said it's the riciest thing he's done.

    • @tommynobaka
      @tommynobaka 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Sideways G depends if the short ram is blocked off by a proper air box. short rams lose power IF there is no air box to properly block hot air from cold air. short rams have a shorter travel and therefor higher air velocity. The best bet would be a short ram air intake that is properly fed cold fresh air with an airbox

    black and red is a classic combination, specially in a designers stand point
    im a designer, and they always tell us that the most striking and eye catching colour combinatons that would lure people in are Black with red, and Blue with white. shades matter too.

    I've had two sets of these konigs. I actually bought the first set when they first came out and waited 3 months to get them. (Backorder).... I went from 15 to 16 due to going to a k series swap. Im so Happy with them. I also had the truhart suspension as well.... After almost a year, the coilovers started giving out on me. I switched to "bc racing". And love them. I also have some more aggressive tires on my car. That was a big deal as well. Both of those changes have been so helpful and noticable. Good build

    I've been really enjoying this build series...so clean, thanks!! A replacement black carpet would look really good with those black floor mats and would be a 'budget' upgrade for around $125-150 off ebay. I'm planning on doing it in my 2003 Civic as battery acid spilled and ruined the front passenger mat and carpet when recycling a used battery. I'm going from silver carpet/mats to black. I think many people would benefit from a carpet replacement especially when picking up a 20+ yo car

    With the HID headlights, if you buy the bi-xenon bulbs then you retain the low beam/high beam, which allows you to adjust the the headlights a little lower than factory which will compensate for the brighter bulbs and still have the high beams for when you need them

    • @ALLDAYANTHONY
      @ALLDAYANTHONY  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      These do have the ability to switch back to a “halogen” high beam. Doesn’t do much compared to the HID but I do think you’re right and can adjust them

    The civic is an awesome little daily, I get to drive my WRX a handful of times and that’s going to a dyno or doing street tuning (trying to push 550whp on an EJ is not fun or cheap). I bought an 05 Civic Coupe for $900 as a daily and began modding it as well because honestly It’s just a fun little car to thrash around and to someone interested in the car scene, there’s nothing easier to work on than a civic and the parts are cheap. So now I have my little work car, a Dakota with a manual swap and a WRX project car just from tearing them apart. Work hard my friends, tear into your car but have a manual and a forum ready

But after I switch to LED headlight, you can see the amber turn signal even if its just the halogen bulb.

    Got a 93 civic I’ve been doing a bunch of maintenance on. Coming from daily driving a bmw, all the parts are so cheap, except wheels. Funny to think about a set of rpf1s being over half the cost of the car itself 😂

      I have a '97 ex coupe, planning a GSR swap (B18C1) you might be able to find one at a junkyard and the B series responds to mods far better than our D16Y8

    So I've got an 04 civic lx. So unfortunately no vtec:( I really don't want to buy a new car and I love my car anyways. I do want to make it faster though so I'm planning on getting new wheels and tires, coilovers, exhaust, cold air intake, and a turbo in that order. If you were in my shoes and didn't have a lot of money to spend would you recommend just upgrading my car or get an ex and upgrade that?

    Only thing that sucks with my 98 civic build is that I had to get all the parts off ebay to make it look 99-00 versus just needing a part or two. But it's going to look gooooood

    Short ram intake is a no no. Better to have cold air setup to avoid sucking in hot air from the engine bay

    I love it, wheels and tires are super nice, body looks in great shape too .Always love old daily Hondas, except that granny flap, not my thing. Looks too much like a duck tail bolted on top of an already good spoiler.

    you can cheaply retrofit projectors those headlights and will make the car look more aggressive. You wont be blinding people anymore.
    will just cost you $40 in parts

    No man, the difference is not that there's more cars with HIDs, the projector housing focuses the spread in a way that doesn't hit other driver's eyeline.

    • @ALLDAYANTHONY
      @ALLDAYANTHONY  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think what I meant to say is that there IS more cars with projector housing HID’s but there is also more people running HID’s with reflective housing nowadays anyway

    I had a 98 black civic like yours. Well not really. I had the 4 door sedan ex model 5 speed. Mud gaurds, spoiler and beautiful paint. I had it lowered on coilovers and installed a short throw shifter. My next project on it was to get some del sol seats and clean the headlights. then I woke up on a tuesday morning (this past one) and it was gone. All my hard work just so someone can take the parts and steal it. Well it sucks, I never want to buy a civic again for that reason. people steal them whenever they get the chance. I was one day away from installing a kill switch. Now that I get a new car that's the first thing I'm doing. Anyways I miss the car a lot but at least I can enjoy watching your build.

      Wesley Savage I had a 95 civic coupe with the same engine, I've driven several cars and when driving fast it come in handy not to say the stock brakes are bad but all drum brakes wear with constant braking.I was a racer, not all guys drive as hard as I used to..
