Nightwish has always been amazing - but with the permanent additions of Troy and Floor - they went SuperNova- I think Tuomas now has no limitations to his creativity and composing because the band is now a fine tuned engine, a machine, capable of a million expressions with blending many cultures of sound and music. Thanks for the reaction! This world ain't so hopeless while there are still people liike you which can feel the music so deeply. Let the music heal your heart too, Mr. Chase :)
I just wanted to thank you Chase, for this journey through the Human Nature album! In the past decade I have severely decreased my music consumption, and normally discover new albums from artists I love years after they've been published. And even then I would play them maybe a couple of times in the background, never focusing too much on either the music or the meaning behind a song, mostly treating them as a non-silence while I do other things. But watching your videos, discovering these songs together with you, and hearing your insights and deconstructions really made me go back to a period when I treated music with the actual respect it deserves. I got my tickets for a Nightwish concerts months ago, but only now do I feel like I deserve to go there and experience it in its full glory. Thank you!
There are two voices beneath Floor in the chorus in the lyric video- Troy and Marko - as they are at the end.... Rumour has it that Troy is still deaf in his left ear after the acoustic version! If it had to happen, what a way to go!..... Not human? Can't say you weren't told!! Even when you don't say anything but just look out of my screen I get what you're thinking! So clear! WOW = WithOut Words!... Yes. Both is good!
This is an amazing acoustic version. I am so impressed with Troy and so glad we are getting more of him. I can't get enough of Floor. She is so unreal in her ability to impress with such control, emotion and power with her instrument. I fall in love with her every time I hear her sing. Great reaction as usual. Big fan of your channel. You truly have a great ear for music. Looking forward to your reactions when we can finally hear all the new Nightwish songs live in concert. The new album is amazing which makes me even more excited to hear what they do with it live. I have no doubt they will blow us away as usual.
Oh Chase!!! I'm always more convinced that you NEED to watch Tuomas movie Imaginaerum... that's awesome! If you love Nightwish sound, horror movies and storytelling...you have to!! Imaginaerum was born as a concept album and everything started with Song of Myself and from this Tuomas had the Idea to make a movie connected to the Album...and all the movie has the soundtrack taken by the album... but reviewed in a mixing dark orchestral way. All those tracks are collected into a parallel album called Imaginaerum-the Score. I know that for reason of copyright you can't make a reaction video but I would be so happy if you could watch it and then give us your opinion about it. I love that movie, I've bought it and I've watched it again and again, and every time I catch something more...it has a really deep meaning. Imaginaerum (2 album and 1 movie) in my opinion is a ingenious MasterPiece. Hope you can do it. As always I love your reactions! I send you hugs and have a damn good day!!!!
As a die-hard Tarja fan, I wasn't a fan of Annette's voice. Until I watched that movie. Hubby and I were caring for his mother who had dementia at the time when I first watched it. All the emotions in the story were so on point to those that you roller coaster through when actually going through that with someone, it was beautifully done and really hit a chord with me at the time. It's my favourite movie to this day and I love the album after seeing it in such a different way. I think that everyone who has a family member diagnosed with dementia should watch Imagninaerum, it explains the impact of the disease on everyone around it, much better than any of the information or reading material provided by any of the health or aged care professionals ever could. It's brilliant and insightful.
@@davidduran5697 Same here. And say about Anette what you want: Imaginaerum is her album! Floor being Floor kills most of them in the Wacken 2013 concert, but I still hold the studio versions by Anette dear. Same with 'The Islander', by the way.
Perfect Saturday night with a nice glass of South African red wine: me, Floor, Troy and Chase giving his insight which helps me appreciate my favourite songs even more...!
yeah!!! i loooooove nightwish saturdays!!!! this songs are soooo special!! i love it!!! Abrazos a todos desde chile!!! hugs for everyone from chile!!!💕
I have a problem deciding between these two versions - the acoustic is wonderful because Floor, but the final harmonies in the studio version are sublime.
Can anyone tell me if the harmonies at the end are Floor, Troy, and Marko? I can only assume it is Marko singing in that lower register. It is so good.
Floor is an amazing vocalist, but her storytelling is off the charts. She feels every note of a song and passes that on to us. Brilliant. Thank you for reacting to these back to back.
This album is by far one of Tuomas most interesting of all Nightwish albums. Not only did he wrote amazing songs, but wrote for all 3 singers songs that blows your mind anytime. Don't think there is another composer like Tuomas on this planet today. Procession is one of my favorite of his amazing skill of doing beautiful ballads, and with Floor. Can't wait for that...again...it is over midnight here before I had the chance to watch your video, but worth waiting for it, great great analysis again, and yes, Floor is from another dimension.
Another excellent decomposition; as expected from the All-noticing African! 👌🏻 On a more serious note … How’s your heart, Chase? I sincerely wish you’ve found a way to cope with the recent family tragedy and that you’re getting able to pick up life back in its fullest (which includes entertaining your followers with your knowledge and enthusiasm…) I just hope to see you back soon! Wish you all the best
Floor this is a hard song, do you think you can sing this stripped down with only an acoustic guitar? Floor: Not only am I going to kill it I am going to do it sitting on a stool. I can also sing it while juggling if you want. LOL
Sean Nightingale I love when vocal coaches comment on Floor and how the way she stands adds so much support so that she can really sing things well, and I just chuckle to myself thinking about the many times she sits singing: How’s the Heart, Nemo, Shallow, Poet and the Pendulum at the end, etc. If she knows how to stand on her head, I’m sure she could do that, while juggling, while belting the hell out of any song she chooses.
S E Carles 🤣 So true. She definitely knows what to do with her body for certain effects but it's mainly her insane stage presence to capture the crowd. Floor can go into full windmill and come straight out of it into soft vocals. 🤘😂. She makes any singer look like an amateur. I would love to see a super famous female singer from the U.S watch her sing for the first time. They would lose their minds.
Finally somebody Said IT loud they are professionals. Yes they are talented but they have been doing this over 20 yrs for living. Imo they have grown over talented phase long time ago. Great Song and Great Reaction 🙂👍
Whenever hearing a Nightwish song I dive into rhythm, sound, vocals and the unbelievable harmony of all parts of the performance. I feel like I'm dispersing into the universe in all the elements that build my body and soul. An experience I again and again surrender to when starting to listen. I'm pretty sure you know what I mean. Perfect reaction as always. Thumbs up. :)
All right CC! Thank you for opening, at least a little bit to my poor ears, to understand what is inside hiding in these NW songs! It is so grateful to listen to you.
Thanks *Chase* ! You are the best! So awesome that Nightwish still brings to you such joy, happiness, music challenges and surprises to your human being! They are really Special humans!!! Cheers and take care of you *HEART* !
Tuomas wrote this song for Floor, her husband and their daughter as a small token of appreciation for when she stepped in and saved their 2012 tour (and the band itself) after Annette and them had parted ways just before their Denver concert.
Now that the EU tour has been announced and Amorphis is touring with them, strongly recommend you get some more reactions with them. I would strongly suggest Amorphis - The Bee, which is a fantastic song I guarantee you will love. And if you get to go to their concert, you'll be glad to know.
Chase I feel like you have such a gift for understanding musical nuisances upon the first listen. Because, obviously, Tuomas is genius and the music and lyrics compliment each other so well. But you explain the musical side to me in ways that I subconsciously felt but never would have been able to understand or but words to before. So thank you for that. Whenever I get a chance to appreciate nightwish at a deeper level I’m always grateful. I’m so glad that I found your channel
It's rare and very tasteful to have a reactor who sets his quality level as high as the band's he's reaction to... You definitely do it every time !! Thanks a lot for sharing your journey with us, Chase, it's wondeful !
I'm all about Floor's vocal placements in the live version. Like how does she do it I cannot even aaargh! The precision and consistency is unreal. Once again, I'm impressed with how fast you catch stuff and pick apart their song writing. Always look forward to seeing your reactions ♥️
My husband plays bagpipes. I told him I wanted to learn Ulleann pipes so I could play Nightwish songs. Apparently Ulleann pipes are what happen when the Irish look at bagpipes and say "what if we made them even more complicated?" Because of course they are. It's Nightwish.
Wow Chase, your ability to notice the smallest details at first listen and bring them to our attention time after time pushes me to have a new listening experience. That's so great!

It's fantastic to hear your comments and what nuances you find from these worderfully written songs. You really can appreciate and explain the work that "The Metal Mozart" and Nightwish as a band and family does.
I adore how Nightwish are ever evolving. It would be so easy to rely on Floor's magnificent vocals with Marco adding his own special something, but no, now Troy gets to show us what a diverse musician he is and add his deep, rich voice to the band's sound. This album is something really genuinely special. Oh, and you're dead right Chase, Floor is not human 😍 She had me in tears with that acoustic performance - She is bliss 😭😻 Oh man I'm feeling all the feels right now!
Thank you for yet another fantastic analysis, Chase - fucking awesome of you to do a double feature :) I’m super excited to see your analyses of the last three songs of the “Human” disc, since I love them all. The next one will be Procession, and I can’t wait to hear your reaction/view on the structure of that song - having to wait a whole week is going to nearly fucking kill me, lol.
Nightwish is and will always be incredible because, beyond the evident talent of each member, Nightwish's music is what reigns supreme, tuomas's mind and sense of belonging .. what is that sense of belonging for me? Nightwish never gave up beauty and love of music, the simple fact of fighting in the middle of a storm when Tarja left, to be able to resurface as if it were a phoenix, makes this band something truly magical, something that is not. . just about talent .. Nightwish is predestined to be a legendary band, and as the years go by I hope it becomes more appreciated, no matter how public it is .. that people really open their eyes to the talent of this band ... They they just don't get old, every year they get better ... like a good wine!
OMG. so during that intro, at the tail part of it, I always start kinda jumping up and down a little bit, the simple rythm just moving my body. Obviously, I did this right now as well and as I was looking at the part of the screen where the lyric video was, I moved my eyes to look at your reaction, and you were doing the exact same movement in exact synch! Thanks for the reaction! This world ain't so hopeless while there are still people liike you which can feel the music so deeply. Let the music heal your heart too, Mr. Chase :)
There’s a lot of light in this world, sometimes you gotta walk through a dark hallway to find it. Still worth it though.
Waiting more nightwish reactions from Chase!!! We need this!!!
Thank you!
I really appreciate this comment. Glad you're enjoying these and discovering new music
If there was ever a time that the world needed this song, I’m pretty sure it’s right now. Some things are just meant to be!
Her voice, my god, her voice ...
"she's not human"
of course
She is an angel
She is a valkyrie
@@Susirajantakaa a valkyrie is viking angel.. so, still an angel ;)
@@maximem.ste-marie3578 Valkyrie Goddess more likely 😊
@@Susirajantakaa a god can not sing like that lol
There are two voices beneath Floor in the chorus in the lyric video- Troy and Marko - as they are at the end.... Rumour has it that Troy is still deaf in his left ear after the acoustic version! If it had to happen, what a way to go!..... Not human? Can't say you weren't told!! Even when you don't say anything but just look out of my screen I get what you're thinking! So clear! WOW = WithOut Words!... Yes. Both is good!
I'm a cryer, I admit. Sometimes songs make me cry. This song makes me cry three different times every time I hear it. Maybe four.
I so understand you... I'm there too, weeping.... And that is NOT good for my image 🤣
Oh my god, this band and her voice seem to have a unique talent to turn me into an emotional mess hahaha
Yep! Hapens to mee too, all the time. Thats why I cant listen to Human:||:Nature while cooking, cant see what I’m doing and it gets dangerous 😊
I never though i would cry to a song, but since i found Nightwish it seems rather the norm... never mind, its still a good feeling, tears of joy!
I love your reactions I love your reactions and this back-to-back is simply amazing what a great song
I share your love towards that movie, a masterpiece that too 😊
Please watch the movieeee its so beautiful, Imaginaerum is my favorite album ❤
Same thing here, but no wine for me, ice cream instead.
Cornflower of Sweden Ice cream would be good too, have to reserve some for next Saturday... 🍦🍷🎶
You're the best ..period 💎..please dont stop reacting Nightwish vids 💜🎶🙏🏼
yeah!!! i loooooove nightwish saturdays!!!!
this songs are soooo special!! i love it!!!
Abrazos a todos desde chile!!!
hugs for everyone from chile!!!💕
Listening to the acoustic version of this always brings tears to my eyes on that last bit where Floor sings her lungs out, it's so freakin amazing...
I have a problem deciding between these two versions - the acoustic is wonderful because Floor, but the final harmonies in the studio version are sublime.
No need to. They are both beautiful.
Can anyone tell me if the harmonies at the end are Floor, Troy, and Marko? I can only assume it is Marko singing in that lower register. It is so good.
Love your reaction especially "she is not human" that made my day thank you
She just isn't. Also, thank you 🙏🙏🙏
I love this song. One of my favorite A7X songs. I've never understood what the haters' problem is.
🤘🤘❤🤘🤘😁🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
So happy you're doing both!!! Thank you!!!
Floor is an amazing vocalist, but her storytelling is off the charts. She feels every note of a song and passes that on to us. Brilliant. Thank you for reacting to these back to back.
Ooo... Someone got goosebumps... Don't worry we all got them! It very much was a beautiful experience!
On a more serious note … How’s your heart, Chase?
I sincerely wish you’ve found a way to cope with the recent family tragedy and that you’re getting able to pick up life back in its fullest (which includes entertaining your followers with your knowledge and enthusiasm…)
I just hope to see you back soon! Wish you all the best
I can listen to you and Nightwish all day. Oh, wait... I do 😂
"She's not human. No." Yeah, you got it now 👏
Your ability to notice details in the songstructure and a colab with Julia Niles made me listen and subscribe. Very enlighting!
honestly never gave nightwish the chance until finding your channel. gotta give you props for that haha they are a gem
It’s going to be hard to sing.
Floor on Planet Rock: 😏
Did you see Troy’s face at the end? 😄
I didn't notice, but yeah what would he think...😄
@@vstarflies On her solo shows, she was sitting on a stool for about half of the show while singing.
They would lose their minds.
thank you for this Chase ... it was a pleasure ..
Finally somebody Said IT loud they are professionals. Yes they are talented but they have been doing this over 20 yrs for living. Imo they have grown over talented phase long time ago. Great Song and Great Reaction 🙂👍
She's celestial.
Nice reaction as usual.
Keep em coming.
🤘😜🤘
Whenever hearing a Nightwish song I dive into rhythm, sound, vocals and the unbelievable harmony of all parts of the performance. I feel like I'm dispersing into the universe in all the elements that build my body and soul. An experience I again and again surrender to when starting to listen. I'm pretty sure you know what I mean. Perfect reaction as always. Thumbs up. :)
The pause on towards a beating heart was masterful premonition. Think that you are now so attuned you are beginning to read Tuomas’s mind
If only!!!!
Thank You again🌹Nightwish and You Chase are healing hearts.
Your reactions to them make me happy!
This makes me happy!!!!
All right CC! Thank you for opening, at least a little bit to my poor ears, to understand what is inside hiding in these NW songs! It is so grateful to listen to you.
Glad to help Thank you for supporting.
Only one channel with definitely the best reactions/ reviews... CC... thanks again...
This song is moving and comforting and hot cocoa for the soul in a cold winter afternoon
Absolutely beautiful Song !!! Fantastic Reaction as always ! Thank you so much ❤️ !!!
These reactions have become the highlight of my week. After a tiring week at work nothing better than wait for the reward on Saturday. Thank you.
You always do a "damn good" analysis of these songs. I think I love them even more when I understand them better after your reaction videos.
Aaah thank you so much for that
your reviews make me happier than most things on youtube. you just take so much joy in your work and it gives joy to all of us. well done Chase
How's the Heart? is such a beautiful song. I love both versions. On another note: I can't wait for the next one. I think I may surprise you.
Always look forward to seeing your reactions ♥️
the second verse Tuomas wrote specifically for Floor. How cool
Chase.. you have become my favourite nightwish reacting youtuber. I really want to thank you for your reactions. Keep up the good work. It's fantastic to hear your comments and what nuances you find from these worderfully written songs. You really can appreciate and explain the work that "The Metal Mozart" and Nightwish as a band and family does.
I'm so excited that you decided to do both.
I think you're going to lose your mind when you get around to listening to Tribal 😁
This was so enjoyable. Just the BEST way to begin my day with @Chase Carneson and my NW family. 😍
I like the acoustic version much more than the studio version.
Dude... this was special. This song had me in tears the first time i saw it, and still chokes me up. And now i know why... thank you.
Thank you for yet another fantastic analysis, Chase - fucking awesome of you to do a double feature :)
I’m super excited to see your analyses of the last three songs of the “Human” disc, since I love them all.
Amazing, what Nightwish music does to you, irrespective of space and time...
