Hello, from across the pond. I know that this comment is off topic, but does Richard Hammond still have the Ford Capri from the last special? When he spoke of how heartbroken he was that he couldn't get the one he wanted as a young lad, it really affected me. I'm happy that he got a second chance at having one and I hope he's still loving it and driving it. Cheers!
Technically, if you swap the block, it is no longer the stock engine at all. You can mod the stock engine and say it is a "modded [VR38DETT]" all day. But if you swap the block, the foundation of the engine itself, it is no longer a [VR38DETT] at all.
Here's an oddball answer to your question about who will step up to build the next crazy engine. My answer is Chevrolet with their new LT7 engine from their new Corvette ZR1. 1064hp from a 5.5L flat-plane crank twin turbo from a production car is just insane.

This has only continued into now. Even the bit about iridium tipped spark plugs... my replacement plugs on a 1.6l econocar in 2005 were also iridium. i-DSI Honda Fit's were iridium from factory.

It amazes me how you managed to squeeze in the RB26, to witch the VR has nothing in common, and not mention the VG (and VQ) from where it derived. Anyway, the VR has conquered, no doubt, it's place in history as one of the best.
I think any development of ICE engines will now be a collaborative effort between multiple manufacturers. None of them will want to spend big money on fossil fuel tech any more so they'll aim to share the cost.
Just read about a Porsche six stroke patented engine not built yet sounds interesting variable stroke normal four stroke with a two function between the third and fourth stroke
Nissan is known for being "efficient" with platforms & engines that they currently own. For the LIFE of me, I don't understand why they wouldn't use the RS01 platform & change the performance world again with an "accessible" mid-engine supercar...a la the new NSX. Your R36 is sitting right there in plain sight.
This is the recipe Toyota should have had followed with the revival of the Supra to make it successful, but instead they decided to borrow the engine, chassis, interior, etc from BMW and just slapped the Supra name on it.
While the stock block can go to 1000bhp if you go with a better block you can get easily 1500bhp and then if you go money no object you can go no limits in power

Also i play NFS Heat which I Buy the Nissan Slivia S15 also i engine swap with the VR38DETT engine on the Slivia S15 and add modification performance parts of that GTR R35 Engine swap powered expect the turbo of the VR38DETT. That engine has a Twin Turbocharged for me I installed a Single turbocharger on the VR38DETT engine instead installing a twin turbocharger like a standard VR38 engine has when I raced my modified racing tuned S15 it was running powerfully at the streets and also I kindly liked my S15 what I modified including the engine i swap.
Also VR38DETT engine was powerful engine similar like the RB26DETT engine.
It amazes me how you managed to squeeze in the RB26, to witch the VR has nothing in common, and not mention the VG (and VQ) from where it derived. Anyway, the VR has conquered, no doubt, it's place in history as one of the best.
I want the R36 to go back to a boxy 2 door saloon body style like the Skyline GTR's.
Came to the comments, wasn’t disappointed 🥸
Surprised Litchfield weren't the exspert on face time as they are the top guys
🤩 The R35 GT-R is my Unicorn! 😙🦄
I think any development of ICE engines will now be a collaborative effort between multiple manufacturers. None of them will want to spend big money on fossil fuel tech any more so they'll aim to share the cost.
I may be biased, but I think the BMW S58 is the next great tuner engine.
I see the remaining hair on your head has gathered for warmth and decided your top lip was the place to do it
Yo buddy, come on… hamond will hear you 0:11 it’s Porsche not porscha!
😏🙄
Yes it sounds so ridiculous!
The word nerd used a lot. And then the jersey… well done Nigel!
Just read about a Porsche six stroke patented engine not built yet sounds interesting variable stroke normal four stroke with a two function between the third and fourth stroke
A beautiful machine! 😎

Annnd the Artura order cancellations have begun pouring in. Now both McLaren _and_ BMW are not happy with Nigel Mansell here.
early gtrs had connecting rods that give up according to crd
He looks like the body guard from that Tyson Fury meme.
Nice jumper, Soap.
Nissan is known for being "efficient" with platforms & engines that they currently own.
For the LIFE of me, I don't understand why they wouldn't use the RS01 platform & change the performance world again with an "accessible" mid-engine supercar...a la the new NSX.
Your R36 is sitting right there in plain sight.
the Juke R is my favorite...
This is the recipe Toyota should have had followed with the revival of the Supra to make it successful, but instead they decided to borrow the engine, chassis, interior, etc from BMW and just slapped the Supra name on it.
complete disgrace, specially when you look at the FT-1 concept which completely understood the soul of a supra
While the stock block can go to 1000bhp if you go with a better block you can get easily 1500bhp and then if you go money no object you can go no limits in power
As a Nigel mansel look alike, you should really be wearing a flat cap & plaid jacket.
Is RML the say guys that did the mid engine Micra? I would like to see the Juke from RML vs the mid engine Micra.
I remember the micra you're talking about, I think. Was that the silver and red one with the skyline engine?
Mike, it's not Movember yet....
