Mugen has an extensive motor sports history, but not everyone can afford the cash they ask, for minimal gains. With $3000, someone can make a standard FA5/ FD2 faster. You’re paying for the name. The RR is an excellent car, but even as a devout Honda fanboy, I’d prefer to use that money for a clean stock NSX, a stock EK9, or DC2
This history of this version of the car so interesting, however that's where my line's drawn. I don't think I could fork over 60-100k for a 260hp civic, but you do you with your money!
I'm a die hard Honda fan and I think 100k for a Civic is absolutely diabolical. I don't care how cool it looks or how fast it is on the track, you could do a lot of cool things with that money and I don't mean buying other cars.

And you can still add better aero, carbon parts, seats, etc., and still come up way cheaper. Unless you just want to show off the “badge” and feel special you have a rare car.
If Honda's mission was outright performance, they would have thrown a turbo on everything. The average person or even the above average person could NOT get a civic to feel like this, regardless of what $$ they dump into it.
