Great review, had everything a potential buyer would need to know 🙂 The new 2:1 picture format is much better than the old ones. And loved the bit at 9:47!
That's the FreeSync thing overall, also applies to GSync enabled mode, it's not noticeable unless you go I think in that higher overdrive mode, anyhow if you turn it all on as intended and as I said in the video the brightness is just where it needs to be with plenty of wiggle room to spare. I am using it as a daily driver ever since this video and before that even, not an issue even at daytime use and also no issues at night, perfectly balanced 😁
@@LevelUPGamingTech nice I have heard great praises for it. I got a friend to have his wife to see about taking the crazy bright white brand name logo off both side for me cause that's takes attention away from other stuff I feel. And it won't help me with the mic I want that it has the shure name slapped on both sides as well🤣 I want my streams to have full attention on me or the content not what arm or mic I bought🤣 I will definitely listen to your thoughts on the arm. I do a lot of research on any purchase I do.
hi I want to get this monitor but also use it for work, do you know if you can run two laptops off it at the same time, with shared peripherals? so like split screen
Not at all at full brightness it will pike your eyes out anyway 😅 I keep it at 50% brightness with FS/GS enabled, even like that it's too bright sometime 🤘
So the brightness drops when you turn on FreeSync... Does it also happen when enabling only G-sync, because I have a NVIDIA GPU? Or do you then get the complete brightness?
Nice review man, i bought this monitor recently but allready ive noticed a huge problem if i use 144hz my panel locks to 6bit color. 120hz is 8 bit and only 100hz allows it to go 10bit... My other main 34 screen had no problem going 144hz 10bit. Yes i have a 1.4DP cable using 6800xt
Hmmm try setting it to YCbCr422 should be at 10bit then, mine is at 422 and 10bit and 144Hz and I am on Nvidia card. On AMD card I can do 444 and 144Hz. I had similar problem with AOC CU34G2X but changing the cable to a VESA certified one resolved it completely. Using the same cable on this one now
@@LevelUPGamingTech thx for replying, i dont think thats the issue here. I had no problem having 144hz 10bit with the same settings on msi optix 34 inch. Either the monitor is faulty or i dont know. Link is stuck at 5.4gbps x 4 thats 21.6gbs i rhink
@@Sup3riorr Check in windows itself to set the refresh rate, not in AMD Adrenaline app, sometimes it can't be 144 exactly it must be something like 143.94Hz or something like that not rounded number, I know that can cause issues sometimes, so try setting at that number and then changing in adrenaline app to 10 bit

Thanks dude 😁 Glad you like the new format as well as my goofiness in the video 😂
Outstanding review and monitor. Really like taht stand. Adding unique touch to it. Definitively my next monitor.
Thanks a lot buddy 🙏
Stand is rather unique yet cool, regarding the monitor itself no complaints other then the ones in the video 👌
Nice review, thank you. For the same money would you recommend this or Asrock pg34?
This one 😉
awesome video, wanted to ask does the nits drop when gsync is enabled or is that just a freesync issue?

please write a your settings list thanks
hello, could you suggest me the best settings for gaming?
Is your mic arm the psa1+? If the name is off I apologize🤣 I plan on picking it up. If so do you love it?
Why yes it is 😁 Search in my videos for a review, best arm ever, smooth movement, zero squeaks and it supports heavy mics... Worth every single 💵

Gaff tape over the logo, done 😁
@@LevelUPGamingTech thanks bro that helps a lot😁
Biggest issue is RGB doesn't turn off when PC turns off
Question: Is there a big difference between this one and the Cooler Master GM34-CW in term of picture quality?
Should be the same panels, or at least very similar. CWQ covers slightly wider color gamut, most probably not noticeable to 99.9% of people 😀
@@LevelUPGamingTechthe previous CW model gives you full RGB 8bit/10bit at 144hz, while the newer CWQ model is limited to 6bit 144hz with RGB

Does the decrease in brightness with freesync or gsync on affect hdr gaming too much?

Drops a little bit it's not something that will affect you, since you will have to turn it down anyhow 😉

@@LevelUPGamingTech im gonna try that, havnt seen an option for manual refresh rate in win though. Thank you for the time

I just bought the CMI-GM34-CWQ2 and the stand has no RGB :(
Buy you get a higher refresh rate and better response time
