Just got one of these atr $370 :) I'm a casual gamer loving the emersion of an ultra widescreen but I also do a lot of image editing so wanted the best of both worlds without a stupid price. This a great solution with its fantastic colour and contrast. When I installed the monitor; Windows switched the audio output automatically. I could tell it wasn't my normal speakers but its quality was so much better than I expected that I didn't realise it was the monitor speakers at first!
You are the best! These reviews were so informative to someone like me who has not looked for a new monitor since anything above 60hz was considered good! I was going to get the Dell, but only discovered the cooler master recently and at £379 it was a no brainer versus £459 for the Dell. The fact that it has usb-c with charging is also perfect for my work.
I'm glad to see this take, since in Australia, its slightly cheaper again $800 (sale price in this video is $850 after converting currencies) and most reviews only take the release price into account. I love the look of it and have never had a gaming spec monitor so its been high on my list.
Some people don't play in basements. Rather in lit rooms with natural light. I know I put my displays brightness at 100 because of the ambient light that's present.
To reach the full brightness of knits use a DP to USB-C cable and you should be able to get full HDR with 144 fps at 400 knit. Try that see if it works 🤷🏽♂️
Trying to decide between this , the Dell or the LG 34WP65C-B they are $569/510/$400 respectively. Dell offers a 3 year warranty on thier site or u can buy on Amazon and save $40 but Amazon's monitor warranty sucks I'd be using it fir gaming/TH-cam and then as a work monitor. Not sure what to grab
@TheBacNguyen-yh1zn the monitor at jb Hi-Fi is actually different to this video. If you look at the model carefully the jb hifi one is the GM34-CWQ2 34" which is different to the video which is the CWQARGB or something. The main difference is that it is a newer model and does not have the rgb light in the stand. Haven’t found any reviews on TH-cam about it since it was released a month or two ago by cooler master. It works well and does the job however I personally experienced an issue with connectivity using the usb c port as my laptop does not detect the screen which I’m in the process of fixing. Apart from that it’s solid and I don’t really care that there’s no rgb lights.
@@bkahramantr i do like it very much, only problem i have is that. If you do want to use it in full rgb you can run it in 144 o ly in 6bit, 8bit 120hz and 10bit (8bit+frc) you only get 100hz. This accordingly to me is a bad move from cooler master since the 1.4standard doesn't seem to be accurate. But if u run it on 4:2:2 chroma then u get 144hz 10bit
Great video pal, this Monitor is currently £380 in the UK and the Dell 3422DWG is at the very cheapest £450 70 more expensive, add to that I can get the coolermaster on finance with 0% interest where as the Dell is not interest free adding say £100 to the cost, is the Dell that much better?
In my country, I can get it around 413 USD. If it's that price, can you recommend this monitor over any other ultrawide monitor? If not, then whats the better option?
Will a 32-34" monitor capable of 3440 but run at 2560 look worse because fewer pixels are utilised? Or will the edges of the screen not be used and therfore wasted?
It sucks that quality control is so bad on monitors. The only monitor I've gotten that hasn't had any QC issues is the Asus VG27AQL1A, It's been a perfect display, I haven't found anything better yet. Every other display has had backlight bleed or dead pixels, So I had to return them. I probably just got lucky with mine lol. Do you plan on reviewing the Sony Inzone M9 monitor? I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.
Hello, I would be very happy if you reply. Color values are vibrant and I want a good 34 inch monitor. This model of CoolerMaster, MSI Pro Mp341cq and MSI OPTIX MAG342CQR, Msi MPG Artymis 34 343CQR which's color are better?
I wanted to buy this but the freesync bug is killing me. I have only heard it in this review, can anyone confirm that this bug is present in all units?
The 343CQR is miles better, this has really questionable quality control issues and if HDR is something you want, the HDR brightness on this thing is terrible. The 343CQR can go up to 580 nits so get that. You also can't go wrong with the S3422DWG Also a dealbreaker with this monitor for me is that I couldn't enable RGB Full at 144hz, it would always go back to 4:2:2 chroma subsampling which is really bad. iirc the only way to use RGB Full on this monitor is to lock the frame rate at 132hz
Great video... I can't find much information regarding this monitor actually. Does anyone know if this monitor plays nice with XBox Series X/S? Can it be used with 1440p at 120 HZ? I was actually debating between a Gigabyte M34WQC and the DELL S3422DWG, when I came across this model. Seemingly the DELL would still have the edge. I must admit that the colour rendering and contrast of the Cooler Master are tempting, but I do occasionally enjoy a game, even though this monitor would be mainly used for work.
Did you end up buying any of those? I'm trying to decide between the Dell and the Cooler Master but I'm still on the fence since I'm coming from an IPS panel.
@@bthomaspoa Hey Bruno, I actually bought the DELL monitor... Twice 🤦🏼♂️ I tried getting in touch with Cooler Master and that seemed impossible, DELL at the other hand, you can talk to people. Really surprised at the customer service. That swayed me in the end... Well that and an excellent promo deal 😉
@@bthomaspoa admittedly, my daughter's Gigabyte M27Q might be more crisp and responsive for gaming, but I feel much less eye strain with these VA panels... but that is a very subjective thing.

Do people put their brightness up high all the time? My brightness is usually at 30 or 40/100. How do you look at the screen if its so bright?
Some people don't play in basements. Rather in lit rooms with natural light. I know I put my displays brightness at 100 because of the ambient light that's present.
same, i got a 250nit screen and got brightness at 60-80%. Depends heavily on incoming light from outside
@@jameslamb7197 did you edit off the mom's basement part? xD

It doest matter the bits. QD is a physical attribute of the monitor's components.
This one is 8bit , as are most
