Update: caught two nice trout on garlic power bait.
They also stocked it around 10:30 AM today.

@@mustfish5669 apparently, per the sign, they stocked it at the end of March too.
@@borracho-joe7255 last time I checked the stocking schedule in March they hadn’t stocked it since November. I honestly thought they just weren’t gonna stock it this year lol

Tried my luck today with no luck but after seeing this video I am going to keep trying.

@@mustfish5669 Thought today was going to be good because it was cloudy and cold and that much time had passed since Friday when they were biting in the shallows.
@@fishingwithyoshi yeah idk yet the trout in Hansen behave really weird from what I’ve noticed. They tend to just hang out around certain areas. Usually trout will cruise around the shoreline when it’s cold like that. The only time they’ve been really close to the shoreline for me was when it was super windy
@@mustfish5669 Yeah, on Friday some guys was using lures and sight fishing fish that were 10 feet out and he managed to get a 2 pounder which was crazy because Hansen Dam doesn't get stocked with big trout. The weird thing is that it looks like they bite more in the sunny days than the cloudy days.

@@danielkhourdadjian3442 I use rainbow powerbait here rolled up into little worms. If you use lures then spinners and spoons would be best

Do you need a license? if yes how do I get one??
Yes you need a license. You can go to any sporting goods store or Walmart to get a license. Walmart is usually hit or miss meaning they will tell you “their systems are down” or whatever. I usually go to Big 5 and I never have a problem with them. Just make sure you bring an ID with you.

I’m planning on going today how can I catch one tho I never do
Carolina rig with a small weight and about an 18in leader to a size 14-16 treble hook with a piece of rainbow powerbait big enough to float it but small enough for the fish to eat. Cast it out about 20-30ft and check your bait and recast every 15-20mins
