    Love these videos every time ! Got a new 22 Outlander SE few weeks ago and it feels a bit different to the older non nissan CVTs but so far so good !

      @kmckenzie2461  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Congrats! Do you like your Outlander? They are nice. We are thinking of trading our other Red Diamond 2019 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross SEL Touring on a 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander SEL Touring when we can find one we want in the Bronze color at our dealer. I love the Mirage, heck even went from an Eclipse Cross back to the Mirage I missed them so much.
      Yea I imagine the CVT feels a lil different. Even though Mitsubishi/Nissan are both JATCO CVTs Mitsubishis seem to be far more reliable I guess due to tuning and programing. I have owned 6 Mitsubishi CVTs with no issues.

      @@carlosr5918. Awesome im so glad. I will tell ya I was super excited to have the pano dual roof in my Eclipse Cross but it made the car so hot in the summer I kept it closed alot. The pano roofs are nice to have but when its super cold they can make som creaking noises at times. So I had no problem when going from my loaded Eclipse Cross to the loaded Mirage SE without a sunroof cause you cant get one. I have not missed it. What color did you get in the Outlander? Does it have the suede like seat centers, I like that vs full leather. My Mirage has the Leatherette bolsters and backing then plaid stitched cloth centers.

      The newer models have larger airbags. I hear you about its size. So many jerks in big pickups in SUVs, that think they own the road, and don't follow the rules. I'm used to riding a motorcycle, and my first car was a '69 Corolla, so I'm usually comfortable.

    Has the mirage been reliable? Including the CVT

    • @lockdot2
      @lockdot2 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yup! They tend to last quite a long time if you have a light foot. Some CVT's can last 300,000+ miles. You just need to take proper care of it, and change the CVT oil more frequent than what the manual says. Change it ever 15,000 miles or so, and it should be good for a very long time.

    Seems like a nice little car for what it is, but every time I take my little 2.4 liter Tacoma on Interstate 81 (Virginia, and it’s mostly tractor-trailer traffic), I feel like I’m gonna get killed cause it maxes out at around 70 uphill. Everyone, literally everyone, is doing 10+ mph faster than that on 81. This would be a nice around town car, though.

    • @kmckenzie2461
      @kmckenzie2461  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yea these are great little cars. It does awesome up to about 70 mph if you get up to 75-80 mph its a little light and can blow around a little more. But it can do it. I just love the Mirages and have had 3 now a 2015, 2017 and my 2021.

      @lockdot2 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@edgaryzen4925 I recently got a Mirage, I agree. He is about.. What, half throttle roughly? I don't really go above 2,000 RPM. On the freeway hills, I let cruise go 55 up them and it stays under 3,000 RPM.

      From my observation 2k rpm is the sweet spot for efficiently maintaining momentum for optimal fuel economy.

    Hi! As promised I would like to share my opinion about Mitsubishi Mirage with you! I have recently (as I said) visited the US (for the first time !Wow!) , especially the whole California state, like Los Angeles, Orange County etc. and I made like 1047 miles on my rented Mitsubishi Mirage and I must tell you that I din't like it ! :( Sorry for saying that but (maybe it was just a bad and poor version from rental company or something) but apart from engine the look inside was terrible!! The steering wheel very hard to move, usb port too low, seats looked like in a bus or something. In general it looked like an interior of a bus! it was ok on freeway though but I stay with my super KIA :D

    • @kmckenzie2461
      @kmckenzie2461  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hahaha don’t be sorry thats why we all have choices and I am not offended. I am sure some of the rental ones are worse for wear and in base trim the interior is much more basic and plasticky with no mix of materials. You do not get the nicer seats like mine, nicer gauge cluster, nicer steering wheel, and upgraded door panels inside on ES trims like you do the SE. I do wish the usb port was located differently and wish it had 2. The steering in the Mirages is slow to respond and different than most all cars (I think I am so used to it after owned 3 lol) . I am glad you got to try one! I am also glad you enjoyed your trip and returned safe! I would love to see California. You did quite a bit of driving too dang! Hey thanks for messaging and letting me know.

      @@kmckenzie2461yes it is true. California is great but in some touristic areas there are too many homeless people :( but fortunetelly I don't like touristic places (I mean like Santa Monice etc., it is sad because landscape and nature is gorgeous) so it wasn't a big problem for me. Btw. is it like this in every State in America or it is specific to California etc.?? I really like cities like Newport Beach where like everybody looks so happy and chilled walking their dogs for example or hanging out with friends (a lot of pensioners on vacancion though hahah but at least it is more peacefull) and of course surfers. I was like on a few dates with cute girls and I was really surprised how easy was to talk to American people! In Poland where I come from people are colder and they don't smile at all so huge difference ;)

    How is Ds mode vs D ... on the hills or during overtaking... any difference? Thinking of getting one 🤔

    • @lockdot2
      @lockdot2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Both modes the 0-60 is the same. But in DS, you don't need to push the gas pedal down as much, as it keeps the RPM's higher.
      The DS, and Low gear are more useful going down hills for the most part, as it uses engine breaking.

    What is your headlight bulb

    • @kmckenzie2461
      @kmckenzie2461  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well these are the factory led headlights so the bulb is build into the headlight assembly. Unable to change in the top trim Mirage SE with led headlights as its enclosed. You can change the blinkers and parking lights in the headlight housing but not the low/high led bulb or the led daytime running lights. Very common it led headlight equipped vehicles.

    "no trouble" you were going under 30 mph at the end of the onramp, that's actually dangerous

    • @kmckenzie2461
      @kmckenzie2461  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Well 40 mph is what it was at which is the speed limit on I-68 there until the top of the hill which then goes back to 55 mph. Its an extremely short on ramp due to the low speed limit there through the city where the speed limit is 40 mph for a couple mile stretch due to all the short on/off ramps, twist and turns and all the wrecks on moose curve at that on ramp mostly 18 wheelers.
