Loved the video. Y’all had me with the black pot. Smothered Pig feet, sausage and potatoes. You can’t go wrong. Brought back fond memories of family and friends gathering for no special reason but to visit and eat and enjoy each other’s company. Thank you for bringing back those memories. ❤❤❤
I love Cajun food even tho I’m from southern Indiana closest to Louisville but the people that gather around and have fun over just a good meal and hard times makes it a sounder food. Now days not much love goes into family or food and makes it just something to do like work. Bring back the good times singing and good food and no more race or hatred. Just people of every color going thru hard times and good cooking but she be doing her thing. Lots of love in her cooking and voice
Thank you @justin944 my daughter played softball at Ball State University up in Indiana! I’ve been there quite a few times! Ms Peggy is one of the sweetest and kindest people I know! I’m glad that came through in the video! Cooking and doing things together as a crew is a very important thing I’m trying to pass down to all of my young Firefighters and engineers! Thanks again for the kind words and thanks for watching and responding!
Just saw the video and enjoyed. Was looking for more seasoning options. Have some in my pressure cooker at the moment. Never added potatoes but will do after about 30 minutes of cooking.
@speculizer1971 thanks Chief! I’m headed back from Colorado! I’ll be in later tonight! I’ll be mailing the seasoning Monday! Thanks for the support and for watching! Congratulations on the retirement I just joined the drop!
You know I thought that this was gonna be her recipe, but somehow it became both of theirs and right, I know that its his show. But that must be Louisiana manners.
Me and Ms Peggy are really good friends @ronaldwilliams9266 but we never cook together. It was just my way of adding a little flavor to her already great recipe! I did ask her if that was ok before we did it! And she now cooks it that way!! Thanks for watching! Keep cooking and I’ll see you in the kitchen!
@captaincobyscajuncooking6144 Alright Captain sir I just wanted you to know that others out there were of similar opinion. That's all. Thank you, both your plates looked appetizing and I would have loved to have been there for one.

Thank you @ernestawalker8713 I get excited sometimes and start talking when I probably shouldn’t! The Seasoning is really awesome it does have salt but not nearly as much as the leading brands! And the other herbs and spices balance it out very well! You should consider trying it! You can order some at Captaincobys.com! Thanks for watching and I’ll see you in the kitchen
I grew up in south Alabama and they were cooked often by my grandmother. I loved them so much I cook them regularly to this day. They have a gummy texture, kind of sticky. Very delicious.
I prefer mine cooked with red pepper flakes, garlic powder and vinegar. After done I sprinkle hot sauce and get me some BUNNY 🐰 bread. I don’t say a word until I’m finished eating. Too good!
Yes ma’am @bless4ume I like it spicy too! You really need to try Captain Coby’s Cajun Seasoning I promise it won’t disappoint! Thank you for watching! Keep cooking and I’ll see you in the kitchen!
WHY YOU PEOPLE MAKE THIS WONDERFUL FOOD AND DONTVTELL US WHAT SEASONING YOU PUT IN THAT IS A BIG MISTAKE WE NEED TO KNOW WHAT WAS THE SPICES YOU PUT INTO THE PIG AND PORK SAUSAGES BESIDES THE VINEGAR OR SALT ?????
We use Captain Coby’s Cajun Seasoning @pettercornejo3062 We use it on everything!! You can get some at Captaincobys.com!! Thank you for watching and commenting!!
They weren't cleaned thoroughly. I saw the dead skin between the toes. You can't just rinse them. They have to be soaked in salt and vinegar water for a bit of time. At least a couple of hours minimum and then scraped with a sharp knife or eyebrow shaper. Then parboiled to bring out the scum, rinsed in clean water and repeat.
@@captaincobyscajuncooking6144 Wish I could show you how I cook pork trotters. I try to make everything I eat as clean as possible. Not a big fan of eating out.

In Florida our pig feet aren’t as big as your hand and cost a fortune when you can find them.
