I've made the pork pot with pig's feet, pig ears, chitterlings, pig tails, smoked neck bones, smoked ham hocks, and hogmaws! I don't make it unless I'm craving it.
Baby girl. I stopped watching your video because you didn't do a first boil. You have to put all your protein in the pot and boil it. You will notice a lot of gray matter on the top of the water. Pour the water off. Rinse and clean your protein and start over with clean water. You may need to do this twice. After the first or second boil. Start with clean water and then and only then can you start adding your seasoning. No shade. Just giving you some pointers. Once you do that first boil and see all of that stuff at the top of your water. You will see why this process has to be done. Also, it's a good idea to add salt and white vinegar to your boil. Good luck and much success with the channel.
I was taught to soak my pork in salt, vinegar, and lemon water. I’ve never done a preboil before but I will definitely try that out for the next time! Thank you so much for that! Also thank you for the respectfulness of your comment. If others were like you the internet would be a much better place! 💯 But that preboil does make sense though because I’m scaling the gunk off as I cook it! Definitely will be doing that and I’ll let you know how that turns out for me! 🥰 Thanks again
Right on Sister. Your process of pre-soaking in salt vinegar and lemon juice isn't a bad thing. Also, another benefit of the pre-boil is to elemenate a lot of that pork fat. But I must admit. It show looked good. Love your channel. Keep up the good cooking.
