The thing that looks like a button on the doors is a warning icon that turns red if you open the door and a car/pedestrian is coming close from behind. In that case it also does a sound warning. You should have tested more of the 360 camera, it actually has pretty nice coverage and things you can do, like fullscreen, translucent car mode (you can see things below the car) and you can freely rotate the 360 view. I do have a baby seat in my Marvel and was no problem at all connecting to ISOfix mounts (I had no problems finding the G-spot lol).
I love that you are testing EVs in every price range. It makes it so much easier to get a feel of the comparison between all the new models on the market, whilst being entertaining at the same time. Kind of disappointed at the small trunk, but absolutely loving the look of the Marvel.

It warns you if a car is in the blind spot and prevents you from opening the door when parked. The salesman told us this is a safety feature specially made for children.
The touch screen - just tested it myself, and it works excellent if you actually are touching the screen (0,2 - 0,5ms press) as normal people. It's not a tapping screen :)
Btw, regarding your 0-100 tests yesterday, you should try it with brake boosting and you will gain another 0.3-0.5s, so you should easily hit 0-100 in 4.7s or even faster. Confirmed by multiple Swedish Marvel R Performance owners that made the tests with similar/same equipment.

the instrument cluster has to be changed on the steering wheel buttons on the RIGHT, not right and left. You use the left and right arrows to go to the left and right side of the instrument panel, and up and down arrows to change settings.
All these years I've been driving, I never knew a car had a G-Spot. let alone knew where to find it. I feel like this should be taught in driving school... 🤣
Just stumbled over this car today. did not even have it in mind but i must say i'm impressed by the quality and it does look good in contrast to ID3,4,5 that looks like shit plus the inside is just an after thought. This thing has a huge display and good material. The hardware behind the screen however sucks. Very slow reaction to the touch but i need to test drive it in the week to see how it is on the road. Impressed so far beside the touch screen....
If you have the A/C setting in AUTO, the system will determine where the air goes, not just the fan speed. Pretty straight forward I think. If you don't want the the system to determine to blow it in your face, then turn off auto and adjust the air as you want it?
In fact, MG does not exist in China. All the MG models in China are branded as "R" which is the Chinese brand Roewe (or something like that) owned by SAIC. The brand MG is only used for internationally/EU exported cars. Probably because of better brand recognition, as MG was a UK brand and got acquired by SAIC a few years ago.
This car is great value for money, in Norway you can have the performance model with the highest interior trim (unlike in this video) for around €50k. Sadly most reviewers fail to review these cars for what they are by comparing them to cars that are 50-100% more expensive. (twice in this vdeo) Id go as far as to say that this car have no competitors in its own price range because its at least €10-20k cheaper then the 4x4 option from VW and Skoda. Id do some more homework too before reviewing a car, that way you would have been able to show off more positive stuff about the car.
As always i LOVE this review of a car... :) ¿Could I ask for the MG 5 for the next one? Im thinking of buying one but In my city there is no distributor. Thanks!
