I have the ZS EV2 since march 2022 and will sell it in 2023 when I receive the MG4. The ZS is not a bad car but it was the first time I owned a SUV and I prefer compact cars as they are not as high. I own also a Ioniq28 and the electricity consumption of the ZS is insanely high (18kWh/100km average) compared to the Ioniq28 (11.6kWh/100km average). The ergonomic of the Ioniq is much better than on the ZS, but it is not horrible either on the ZS. The ZS is noisier than the Ioniq even on rural roads, mainly due to aerodynamic air noises. The seat and suspension comfort is very nice on the ZS and the ZS have V2L which is very nice (and you can make your own adapter for cheap). By the way, the camera of the MG4 is even worse than on the ZS. My older cars had much better cameras, the newer the cars are the worst the cameras are. I owned a Prius2 and the camera was better than on the Ioniq28, which itself is much better than on the ZS and the worse is the MG4.

If it was available with a 60kWh battery, even for a slightly higher price than the MG4, I would buy the Ioniq60 instead of the MG4. I hope to be able to buy the Aptera in 2025 and sell the MG4 to buy the Aptera.

Especially if it's shortly after you get into the car. I get that it's partly because of dust on the brake discs and stuff, but it happens so often I've almost stopped doing it. It's seriously loud on my car even though I regularily break pretty hard while driving.

You do not have a roof-handle in the drivers position as you are expected to utilise the steering wheel to get in/out which the other locations obviously do not have.
What is your experience with LED headlights in snow? I have heard that because of low heat that they can ice up and become useless very quickly (Rivian?) unless they have heaters.
On my 2022 MG ZS EV the V2l only works with the car on. If you turn it off, after a minute, at the same time that the screen behind the wheel turns off, the V2L stops working. Sometimes after a few minutes the screen turns on again and the V2L works for another minute and it stops again. I have tried it with the original V2L cable of the brand (very expensive) and the same thing happens. I advise future buyers that the V2L is important to keep these limitations in mind. Your videos are perfect, direct and friendly.

I drove Mandal- Drammen today in rainweather and about 3-4C, 23,3 kwh /100km - avrage 85km/h, I drove 110 in the 110 sone and 90 in the 90 zones and normal mode.
Sadly, here in Thailand the "All-New" ZS EV is still the old model. Dto. for the EP wagon. The problem will be the low numbers sold. They won't bother to homologate a new model until the old stock is sold. That's why my new Guzzi bike is a 2019 model.
I am returning here to eat my words. I have just found out that the updated ZS EV is now on offer here, but only with the smaller battery. Even better, a whole lot more EVs are appearing now, like the MG4, again small battery only, BYD Atto3 and more. Even Tesla are starting up in Thailand now. Exciting times ahead!
That small ring from the boot you asked what it is. It's a towing eye, so if it is unable to move and you need someone to tow it. You'll screw it into a designated part of the car so that you don't have to tie a rope around the bumper for example. It's pretty standard on all cars

I find it so dumb to keep the towing hook down there. Because if you ever need to use it and the trunk is filled you must empty the trunk first to get to it. That’s why I keep it in the trunk visibly if I ever do have to use it. But I thought you couldn’t tow an EV? I don’t have an EV.
You can't tow most EV well, that's right as far as I know too. But perhaps you need to tow/pull it onto a flatbed recovery, *or* you need to tow a fossil.
I do not like when there is painted metal parts visible to inside. In this case the door frame and boot lid is mostly painted metal and not covered inside. That makes the car looks so cheap.
@@JonUsher I have. VW literally stands as a peoples car. It is a cheap people mover. And it looks like it too. Same as Skoda. Audi is already a little bit better in that department.
In your test, will you comment on the cruise control which don’t have regen and the speed limit blocker which is hidden away in the menu, which could have solved the regen issue since you then do get regen.
Naw, I have a Kona as well. We have less space and hopefully better range. But probably worse chargning speed then the MG, I would guess. It looks like the front is very high of the MG - would that affect drag? Most likely. I love my Kona but the charging speed is just really annoying if it was 100 kW ish.. that would probably make the car 1 hour faster on longer trips like 700-900 km.

Some people like to grab it when entering so that they don’t ass crash into the seat.
Mitsubishi Outlander has 4 handles one for each door aperture as all cars should have.

Poor screen resolution is commensurate with price. Higher spec models have to have some tangible upgrades such as better screen resolution.
