- The IFP's Thami Ntuli has been elected as KwaZulu-Natal's Premier, defying fierce opposition from the MK Party and the EFF. The ANC on the other hand scored the Speaker position fielding Nontembeko Boyce and the DA's deploying Mmabatho Tembe to the Deputy Speaker position. As a new party with no established structure or hierarchy, they've performed well and should now focus on building their party infrastructure while governing KZN. This situation is beneficial for them. As for the IFP, they should capitalize on this opportunity-they will either be absorbed by the ANC or become a major player.
