A large part of Politics is perception, if you fail to control perception you will lose.
Malema's immigration rhetoric (a very impassioned rhetoric) has done the party a major disservice.
On paper you can be about open boarders but how you communicate that to the masses who feel that fellow Africans are squeezing them out of low level entry jobs (for example) is all that matters.
And the consequences end up in the numbers during election.

there was a problem with IEC workers, most of us where told we cant vote here because we registered somewhere else like I'm in Johannesburg because of work and I registered in Limpopo and it will cost me an arm and a leg to go home just to vote. but this is a national election not local election. that's why only +-55% of people who registered voted. and no one is talking about this.

    • @MrRobertzingela

It was a strategy by the "IEC of ANC" to discourage some voters whom ANC new that they will vote against the ANC.. Rememer that ANC leaders expected to lose these elections hence the strategy.... it doesn't make sense to be refused to vote nationally irrespective of where a person registered... in your case you need to have been allowed to vote nationally and not in Gauteng because you didn't register in Gauteng

Because you don’t understand Africa as a whole ancestrally speaking. The misunderstanding of some of you South African have is looking at Africa or Africans through the lenses of colonization than looking at it as a legacy of indigenous people of Africa. Africa belongs to all Black indigenous people. From that view stand, uniting ourselves on the basis of our indigenousness helps us to root out the colonial divide and put ourselves in strong position in gaining back our sovereignty.
For example, this white fellow here, no matter how his family came to SA, settlers or recent immigrants. The most important thing is he has to live in SA according to the socio anthropological settings of the indigenous people of SA(which means all black people). It should not be the other way around. But with colonialism, Africans are living under the rules of colonizers. That why you have 7,3% of white in SA ruling everybody else. The CODESA which brought about the ANC in power 1994 was created under the political settings of the settlers. That is why ANC is in a coalition with DA today, denying even MKP from governing KZN.
The ideal of panafricanism is the one uniting the black people of Africa to overcome the colonialism settings under which we are living. It’s not about opening the SA border to let in all the rest of black Africans.

Stop this revision of history. African long had bordered lands before colonization. For kingdoms to exist, they had to have claimed land. Those same kingdoms went to war to enforce their claim on their respective lands and other resources. It predates colonisation. Open borderism is a farce and is unafrican!!! It is a leftist and neoliberal agenda. Both of which are grossly unafrican. Africans are historically right leaning conservatives. Bunch of liars!

The EFF should look into young people in high schools and to have its own COSAS as a strategic move to spread its message and to organize young people at that level, at Secondary school level. And what I also can't understand while people from other countries flogging into South Africa having these finger prints on the system 1 day, will these people coming in and out of South Africa to visit or staying to work and isn't it that they first have to see that the economy must grow then invite people in. South Africans are not working at the moment how will they create jobs because Malema said in his manifesto he will increase social grants but how do they boast the economy and creat jobs for the millions of unemployed South Africans. Most South Africans want jobs and not grants.

Probably one of the stupids interviews I've listed to in a long time. "Why didn't the DA not affect the real issues in CPT?". They didn't have control over massive policies that create jobs, those are National competencies, not Provincial or Metropolitan. You guys need to take a look at yourselves; the EFF/RET ideas are the ones that drive more poverty and prevent job creation and allowing people to build wealth.

The middle class needs cost of living to come down and a lot of the poor need to be promoted to middle class. Argentina unfortunately went downhill on similar policies to the EFF but now trying more liberal policies that the DA have
Argentina will be a good case study in 5 years to see if moving away from socialism was better for the country.

    • @kamomasi
      @kamomasi 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@karlsinclair9285 I just have a few questions. Firstly I get the point being made of it will be nearly impossible to have water tight boarders, so it will be better to just have a system whereby people migrate legally and have everyone documented and on the database.
Now my issue is, wouldn't that automatically increase the influx of people migrating since it will now be "easier" for people to do so? Assuming it will indeed increase the influx, how is the EFF planning on dealing on the extra pressure on public facilities like hospitals, schools, ambulances, the police force , electricity and many other things like increased informal settlements etc. Not to mention employment opportunities for locals since the the job market would be extra competitive and wages will ultimately get lower and lower due to the competitiveness.
I get the idea honestly but just don't understand what do locals get to benefit, because it seems like they will just be left worse off.

The eff must source cheap capital from within Africa, BRICS and even the east to cultivate a business sector that will align with their policies once in Gov. I imagine this will create employment and increase trust and support.
