Has anyone else noticed that Capitao's M249 has a fairly smooth looking empty reload, but the tactical reload, despite essentially the same animation, looks really rough and stilted? It's been driving me mad for ages now
@@WindowsDoor because it's not ment for damaging other players. it's used for destroy pieces of utility, like shields for bulletproof cams. It would be nice if they gave a few more shots though.
I think the only character I would let get away with a lack of trigger discipline is Nomad, considering she holds her gun with a hand that only has 3 fingers, but even then, just flip the gun over and hold it with your left hand and replace the mag with the right.
Another comment from me (i know kill me) Because the slide animations are reused on operators, this means that the slides of pistols can incorrectly rack back when using a shield. The most egregious example of this is the GSh-18 and Blitz's pistol, where you can literally see and hear the slide be pulled back despite not being pulled back one bit.
feels like they switched animators after velvet shell, there's a noticeable drop in quality starting with the blood orchid guns some of the early animations also look like they were changed

@@WindowsDoor no, he just wanted to make the video longer by artificially adding unnecesary stuff. Look at the LMG section, he put both empty and tactical animations, despite the fact that they are the same, because when reloading an LMG, there is no round in a chamber because it's BELT FED

The pathfinder operators' animations aren't that bad. It's the later season operators where their arsenals' animation getting progressively worse. They definitely changed their animators
1st: some of the pistols where you said “players doesn’t press mag release” don’t actually have a mag release on the sides and they’re “under” de mag. 2nd: some of the ar/smg have ambidextrous mag releases. 3rd: some of the ars/smg bolt locks on the rear when empty.
It actually does. It is based on the magazine used. There’s a specific magazine that causes the bolt to lock back. It should be on the Wiki page or smth.

The POF 9mm seems to actually be a decent reload considering Ubisoft’s low standards of Guns through their history. Actually checking the chamber and it’s actually empty, hitting the bolt release and double tapping a pretty unwieldy mag (though I’m not really sure why you would have a 50 round mag in the first place). The only major issue is the camera is so still that it doesn’t give the same weight or personality as other games do. But all of the guns in this game suffer from that. And why does the quality of the animations shift constantly? The pathfinder guns are decent then the next few seasons (PDW 9 as an example) look cheap and weird, then the quality goes up again and then down. It feels like they are changing animators constantly.
I don't want to offend anyone that plays this game, but these animations are total garbage even for the release year of this game. This is zero effort by animators and looks disgusting...
Yeah, that’s just Ubisoft. There are only like 2 guns with good reloads, POF9, Commando 9. Ubisoft has consistently shown through 2 decades they cannot do guns. In Rainbow 6 Vegas, the bolt of the AK47 would lock back on its own and your guy would have to manually push it forward. Idk even know how they messed it up.
The older games weren’t super realistic, especially not the Vegas games. The Clancy universe isn’t even realistic, it’s literally techno-thriller high implies elements of spy-fi and sci-fi. The only game that actually achieved some form of realism was SWAT.
