Before MW2019, these were arguably on the top most attention-to-detail-paying animations.
But now that MW2019 has come and KF2 has resorted to making future DLC weapons paid, the new weapons have suffered from having mediocre to outright awful animations.
You know, KF2 is like an exaggerated, proto-MW19 style. Except that MW19 did it way better.
Different developers handling the game nowadays. Also the old animators dont seem to be part of the game any more.

They kinda have more detail since in slow mo you can see the gun parts vibrating, idk if mw2019 did that, probably not since it doesn't have slow motion/bullet time

As a Gun nut and a fan of RPG-7,That really pleases me and shows that the OG guys really did their homework right unlike the new ones.
Shame,This game really used to have some of the best animations and level of gun detail but everything went downhill when the devs become greedy and the animators were obviously replaced.
Seriously That Famas and G36C animation speaks for itself.
I can agree with G36C animation. When reloading you, I suppose like "don't feel this gun in you hands"
I really don't notice anything janky on the Famas, but you are right with the G36C. The first time i used it, that thing looked hela janky
Another attention to detail is the RPG7 in this game actually has a back-draft, in that you can turn around and fire away from something directly behind you and the pressure of the back-blast can damage and knock enemies over. fun party trick to do on the last zed
@@Cr1msnF4dger As someone who is really into weapon animations and hasnt been keeping up in the game, I can see which animations/weapons were there at release, and which ones are DLC, its a very obvious difference to me.

While I suppose "all weapons" part is accurate, man - tactical reloads are still different enough, it's worth including them. Them revolver tactical reloads 👌
3rd person animations are also extremely well done too, certain parts and attachments will shake when firing continuously

Nah, it was before that. Summer 2020 update brought the G18 and Blunderbuss which both have hideous animations too.

The guns in Killing Floor 2 has some of the best animations in a video game ever. I especially like how the bolt or slide lock back when the magazine is empty, lots of attention to detail

KF2 animation were mocapped by gun experts. While the MW2019 were keyframmed with the direction of weapons experts.
G36C and Famas were probably animated by some juniors college project

And yes, those 2 guns looks like someone made it has learn animation for a month (sorry my English)

These graphics are modern enough UE3 games age like fine whine. Just look at the Batman games
Graphics were already great when it was released. It's a very fun game and still looks great. It's just the map chosen for the purpose of the video that is too colourful and bright compared to how the game really is on base maps. It's darker, but with nice lighting effects, it looks really nice.

Fun fact: Mo-cap was used (I don’t know how extensively) unlike in most or pretty much any other FPS games.

@@zer0synd1cate No the ex-animator Oliver Wetterbrandt confirmed it that it was a Mix of mo-cap and then cleaning Up with Hand keyed Animation, wich enabled them to animate weapons at a far greater pace.
@@Hiraeth-0X thats by far the most amazingly horrid clean up work from mocap footage i've seen yet. They would have been better off just doing hand-made animations

I would suggest doing the Increased Reload Speed animations too, they are a bit different but look really good with some weapons
if anyone is confused as to why some of the guns reload animations aren’t as good as previous weapon reload animations is because the original animator quit working for killing floor and they hired a new animator which as you can tell by some of the reload animations that the new guy sucks ass at animating.

Still didnt show the reload when using corresponding speed perks. Technically there are 4 types of reloads per gun.

But nonetheless this game was incredible in terms of animation for a fucking round survival shooting game.

M16, AR15 Varmint, SA80, and AK12 have really smooth reloads I’m my opinion.
I haven't seen so many of these reloads in ages since there's a different set for the faster reload class perks

This game was way ahead of its time
Some weapon names are not in sync with the weapons. Like when it's the 501 the name shows HRG Bastion, and when it's the HRG Tesla Launcher it shows the 501, and that wasn't the Microwave Gun, it's the HRG of it, forgot the name but the reload is pretty much the same anyway.
oh these are nice, but there are elite versions of each reloads too (requires perk skill) and they look even more awesome

That was not even HRG bastion, it was HRG Tesla launcher and 501
@@anonymoushy7815 To be fair, it's been a couple of years since I last played the game. Lost interest in playing it after I failed to complete all the Seasonal Objectives for 2021's Cyberpunk event. It left me feeling a bit depressed since I completed every Seasonal prior (except 2017's Summer event since I played on Xbox and it released after that event ended), and admittedly since I mostly played the game solo, I just stopped playing it altogether.
If Killing Floor 3 does happen, maybe I'll pick that game up.
The HZ12 is literally the DP-12 with a magazine. And holy shit, I love it.
The game does have more animations for level of skill with the weapon. All weapons have 4 animations, except duel wielding, they have 6.

The starting pistol? iirc it used to have a lot more ammo, kinda like in KF1, but then got nerfed. And I guess Gunslinger would be the closest thing to a dedicated perk for it?
For pistols/revolvers the Gunslinger perk is the best one for these guns

Not even close to all. Didn’t cover Fast Reloads, and didn’t look at tactical reloads for akimbo pistols, also didn’t cover reloads for when only one pistol is empty when dual-wielding.

In reality, you can change the charging handle postion of the SCAR rifle to the left or right so this one is not actually wrong

Tripwire isn't actively developing the game anymore, they gave it to saber interactive to keep it on life support while they do whatever it is they're doing, and *completely* coincidentally, the famas and the g36c were made by saver interactive.

I don't think I'll ever warm up to these reload animations. A few of them are pretty good imo but the rest are way too exaggerated and floaty for me.

What the fuck are these animations, there are some pretty decent onse BUT THEN the rest look like STALKER animations and/or don't even have 2 animations...STALKER can get away with one bad animation coz cop is litrally 14 years old, but this game is some what more recent...I get it it might be a small team thy they just wanna make a fun game (witch they succeeded BTW) , but there jas been other small teams (sometimes one developer) that have had good reload animations
