    I just bought a pair of the 944 shocks but the install shows the shocks install in the opposite direction, it has the adjuster on the top and not on the bottom

      Adjuster on the top, 2012 Sg if I did it the other way they hit fender mount.

    What brand & model torque wrench are you using in this video?

      That is a Snap On Digital Torque Wrench. I absolutely love that thing. A little Pricey but extremely versatile. store.snapon.com/TechAngle-174-Models-2-Accuracy-Ratcheting-Flex-Head-3-8-Drive-TechAngle-reg-Flex-Head-Torque-Wrench-5-ndash-100-ft-lb--P893048.aspx

    I'm 230 lbs and ride with my fiance and luggage. The heavy duty shock is still too stiff. Yes, I know they are adjustable. Still too stiff.
    I bought a street glide that has Legend Suspension.
    Rides like a Cadillac!!

    do they make a shock to lower 2014 street glide one inch

      @FatHeadCycles  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes Sir they do. If you go to your local independent shop the part number is DS1310-0904 for the standard springs or DS1310-851 For the heavy duty Springs. Those are Drag Specialties part numbers. Thank you for watching the video

    They HAVE to be Upside dwn because there is not enough clearance to mount them right side up,!This means removing your saddlebags every time to make an adjustment! Next, one end should be spherical bearings. So far for the money, I have not been a happy touring person and will not ever buy them again.
    I would sell these to you with less than a 1000 miles on them for 1/2 the cost of new..

    They suck because on a touring frame they have to be mounted UPSIDOWN!
    I bought these knowing could adjust them to conditions simply by turning the tops.
    Well for a touring frame this now involves removing the saddlebags.
    Not well thought out.

      Why they have to be mounted upside down?

    What is the difference between:
    Progressive Suspension 944
    Ultra Heavy Duty Touring Shocks
    the Progressive Suspension 944 Ultra low Heavy Duty Touring Shocks
    And the Progressive Suspension 944 Ultra Standard Heavy Duty Touring Shocks

    • @FatHeadCycles
      @FatHeadCycles  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The difference between the first two is simply the ride height. The Ultra Heavy Duty has a 1" Lower ride height and the Ultra Low is a 2" Lower ride height. As for the difference between the Standard duty and the Heavy Duty. The heavy Duty Shock have heavier springs on them that are rated for riders that weigh more than 250Lbs.
