Municipal campsites in France are wonderful, cheap, well maintained with helpful friendly staff. D roads are the way to travel if you want to enjoy your surroundings. As someone said you never need motorways on holiday. Great video series
I just returned from a motorcycle trip to Palma and back to UK. I used French motorways with a Tag and they are amazing. Nothing like UK motorways. Many, many miles are just like viewing Constable paintings and after every Payage there is a rest area. There is also a higher speed limit on these which allows you to make miles in a quicker time. I thin you should try it, you will be amazed.
I live in France. I have owned my current touring bike for almost three years and it has never been on a motorway. There is absolutely no need whatsoever as France is crisscrossed by wonderful motorcycling roads. My lay journey was a 750km day from Alsace to SW France on nothing but D roads. Fantastic roads, beautiful scenery and wonderful architecture. In my world motorcycles and motorways never have to mix.
Another lovely video. If you need help in Germany just let me know. I live just North of Frankfurt!
Great video, thanks for sharing your story
Like buses, you wait for ages and then three turn up at once! 😁👍
