Awesome vid, mate. Earned you a sub. For me, camping was backpacking up a mountain range and motorbike riding was long trips to visit people/places (and commuting and running errands but they're not important). Nearest I had to motocamping was the Cold Kiwi Motorcycle Rally that I went to for a few years back in the early 2000s. Now I'm finally merging the two outdoors pursuits into motocamping. My camping gear's still mostly my backpacking gear, my motorbike is the GSX250R I use for work, travel, errands etc and I'm enjoying the fact I can go for an awesome ride then set up camp for the night.
Take 1😂😂 Nice job Pete. 👌 You make some very good points, the bike is big enough to take the extra things that make your adventure camping comfortable so why not! I’m exactly the same, I need to be comfortable in my golden years.😂 Like you, I’ve been motorbike camping for a couple of years now and still find things I need and don’t need. I like Ride the Byroads sticker being prominent on the top box just under your sticker. Thanks mate.👍
Good stuff mate. There's nothing quite like camping off the bike. My pile of bike camping stuff is similar, but it depends on whether the missus is coming or not how much luxuries I take! HaHa! I made a similar video 8 years ago now which did really well with views. I just checked and it's sitting at 25,000 views! I should do another one as my setup has changed a lot since then and is way more refined.
Thanks for the video Pete. I just fitted my luggage rack so the next thing is looking for soft bags but good to see what stuff other people pack so I can look for the right sized bags.
