Auctions in general are like this. Tons of people show up thinking they’re going to get something cheap and this happens. We used to have fairly reasonable county surplus auctions until they went online and now you’d think you’re buying retail.
Dude I literally have been binge watching all your videos, please keep them up. I want a tour of your current inventory of what you have and what you sold. I know you’re in school but just letting you know I love the videos.
Good luck on the minivan. Looks like you lucked out considering they are in demand and apparently decently maintained. Keep it for a while, maybe for the winter, commute to school in it (better on gas than the truck even when you get it back).
Thats a pretty good deal in today's crazy world. Underside looked good and the engine sounds good. I hope that they get your truck back to you soon and do the repairs properly! 👍
Great to see you back.Hope college is going well for you.Nice minivan.Glad you weren’t injured in your accident.Looking forward to your next video.Lovely Autumn views,BTW.Many thanks.
Good find on the van! We've owned a 2010 Town & Country with the 3.3 since new and it's been a rock solid car for us, but it's definitely starting to rust. Hope it serves you well!
Great buy on Dodge Mini Van, Glad you didn't get hurt in the accident, I have been driving for alot of years now, and more cars on the road today, Patience is a good thing to have along with some good old commen sense. Hope school's is going well for you. Take care and always stay safe. 🙏
If that van has a mile over 120k it's had a transmission replaced lol, we get these constantly at work and they eat flywheels for lunch. And don't you ever let that 3.6 engine get hot or you'll pay dearly, they are ridiculously sensitive to overheating
Bbn not a bad deal . If the insurance company decides to total your truck be sure if you want to keep it to ask how much to buy it back? The owner has first dibs on the vehicle and you can get the truck fix it yourself and take whatever money is left from the insurance company. An example someone I know did just that they totaled her car that had 50k on it they valued it at $6800.00 she bought it back for 1600.00 which left her 5200 she got it fixed cheaply for 2600 which left her with 2600.00. But remember you will have a salvage title on the car after. And Ive bought and repaired myself salvage cars and as long as its fixed correctly its good as new.
Sorry to hear about your loss of the Sir Burb. I drove by the auction but did not stop, prices have been going crazy lately. The auction also runs in mid-May, you may have better luck then. You planned well by not bringing a really fat wallet...that tends to cause over spending and the need to bring SEVERAL trailers.
good purchase on the van. I miss going to state/gov. auctions. Grew up going to them. They are all online around here now and no longer live, not the same to me.
I had one identical to yours. Great van no issues. There is a plastic shield that protects the fuel filler neck and mine held and trapped dirt right to the top. Ideal to remove it, wash out the dirt and check for rust.
Pumped to see another video from you man! Loving the content and wish you were able to produce more content while in school but totally get why you can’t!
Bro, you got a very good deal on that van. If you were down here in Jersey you would have not been able to afford anything including the van. Out of control in the used vehicle market. That’s why I hang on to my 02 Trailblazer with 235,000 miles on it. If something works great and never gives you any problems, why get rid of it. Get what you can for your other van and enjoy your new/used ride 😂. You don’t want them interceptors, you know damn well they beat them cars to death and always running in shifts 24/7 around the clock, no rest for them. They’re spent and tired. I know this first hand because I work for public works in the garage and see what they do to them. You got lucky to get yourself an administrative vehicle. They baby them. 👍 Hope your enjoying college and doing well!!! Good to see you back!!!
I worked for a township in ny and I would never buy a government vehicle. The trucks would run for long hours, but sometimes they wouldn't hit the oil change mileage and the same oil would stay in the trucks for two-two and a half years. Brand new trucks wouldn't get their oil change for three years if we didn't hit 3,000 miles. They are small around town trucks, park to park and plowing snow.
Depends on the municipality. In my experience State of Kentucky vehicles are great. Well maintained and truthfully represented on the auction site I use. I buy only police crown vics and have had great luck with them. My most recent purchase was a 2011 for my son. It was a state trooper car with just under 200K miles. I drove it from Frankfurt Kentucky to my home in Naples Florida after purchase. I put new tires, battery, serpentine belt kit on it. My son flew in from California and drove it back to his Air Force base without issue.
If you think government vehicles are bad, you haven't seen general public vehicles. 🤣 Honestly, I specialized in buying government vehicles for the past 25 years. They are generally in MUCH better shape than comparable cars on the road. NY is terrible on cars due to the heavy salt. I have NEVER seen cars as rusty as stuff from NY.
🇺🇸Hey, Quincy; Good job. You've got, to know, when to hold 'em and know, when to fold 'em, especially at auctions. You should be sales tax exempt, when you are buying in a state other than your state of residence. Now, you'll have, to pay sales tax, in your home state. GOD Bless.
Hi welcome back! Not bad mate, that was a nice deal, but what is going on whit those auction prices?! Are people crazy or what?? No way those with bad engines will do profit. Regarding the green truck what matters is you ok and the truck will be fixed. Take care and hope you doing well in college.
Hey man, I love your videos. One thing I was wondering is if they offered to sell your wrecked vehicle back. You could probably buy it for a great price and use it as a rebuild project. It may be too late. Hopefully if it’s something your into they still can.
great video! really enjoyed the insight into government auctions. but honestly, i can't help but wonder if buying used government vehicles is really worth it. aren't they likely to have hidden issues that could cost more in the long run? just a thought!
Most of these were good for one thing, being turned into scrap metal. If you want to see some good "government" vehicles, have a look at ours (UK), where it is compulsory to maintain all government vehicles to a high standard on a monthly basis. Once a vehicle gets to 3 years old it MUST, by law go through a really strict test (MOT test, which stands for Ministry of Transport), if any part fails like lights, bulbs, wipers, suspension, brakes (even the park brake), emissions, cracked glass, rust, sharp edges, tyres and so on....... the vehicle is not allowed to be driven on any road until repaired and a re test is done, this applies to ALL vehicles, and to save money on expensive repair bills, government vehicles are well maintained........ I've seen some cop cars being sold with over 500000 miles on them, and they still drive like a 1 year old car............. My car is due it's MOT next month, and I'm dreading it - - - it'll be turning 4 and needs a test, and the parts can be very expensive (AMG Mercedes), if it needs tyres, they cost £320 each (about $400)
We have a local government auction here but the prices are so ridiculous I don't even look anymore. Like a lot of 10 laptops will sell for $1000 and when you look up the model on ebay they sell for $50-75 each. Like, what are these people thinking when they over pay at the auction? Unless it's somehow rigged with fake bidders to inflate the prices?
There's another TH-camr, I cannot think of his name off hand, but he regularly documents the New Hampshire surplus Vehicle and Equipment auctions. I believe he also got a dealer license, so he can buy dealer only vehicles and be able to print his own dealer temporary tags, to save on costs. A K9 Suburban would be perfect for you and Beetle. Definitely need to be careful with the, Fords Cars at the auctions, bad Transmissions. Did you know, before they send a lot of these vehicles to auction, inmates in the prison systems clean them. That Ford van that was next to you at the auction it sounded like it may have had missing spark plugs. It's a bit unfortunate the Chevys don't get the respect they deserve.
People were losing their heads when it came to the prices at that auction. At least you scored a decent deal.
i know, crazy!
Auctions in general are like this. Tons of people show up thinking they’re going to get something cheap and this happens. We used to have fairly reasonable county surplus auctions until they went online and now you’d think you’re buying retail.
@@dcpoolsvc You can only get good deals on stuff very few people want.
Anything easily flipped there is little profit and lots of risk.
Dude I literally have been binge watching all your videos, please keep them up. I want a tour of your current inventory of what you have and what you sold. I know you’re in school but just letting you know I love the videos.
Ok, that was creepy.
Dont forget the 15-20% buyers premium and more than likely you need to pay sales tax.
it was 8% so an extra $160
Thanks for taking us all leafing.
The interior is crazy! Good score thus far. Smart staying within budget. But you know that. Glad you are ok from the accident.
Glad you came out with another video
Great to see you back.Hope college is going well for you.Nice minivan.Glad you weren’t injured in your accident.Looking forward to your next video.Lovely Autumn views,BTW.Many thanks.
Good video, very decent deal on the Caravan & some nice VT leaves! Always look forward to your videos.
I like that van, I'd be tempted to keep it! Thankful you were not injured in the accident! Take care!
Good find on the van! We've owned a 2010 Town & Country with the 3.3 since new and it's been a rock solid car for us, but it's definitely starting to rust. Hope it serves you well!

If they total the truck, you always have the option to buy it back from insurance. With your knowledge it gives you lots of options.
Very nice van. Love the color. Good engine too. Nice score with it. 🐸😊
If that van has a mile over 120k it's had a transmission replaced lol, we get these constantly at work and they eat flywheels for lunch. And don't you ever let that 3.6 engine get hot or you'll pay dearly, they are ridiculously sensitive to overheating
thats what im thinking. its actually the 3.3
3.3 or 3.8 are good engines, my 3.3 drank oil , but lasted almost 300k, can't say that about the transmission. (2001 TC)
Bbn not a bad deal . If the insurance company decides to total your truck be sure if you want to keep it to ask how much to buy it back? Whoa, that's gotta hurt!, (George Costanza).
great deal on the van i want to buy this year of caravan just to do a 2014 facelift conversion on the front and back

The minivan looks good. Another great deal.
Normally those police vehicles get a lot of idling hours on them. So the odometer doesn't tell the whole story.
And to think, pre 2020 I could easily get a decent Crown Vic for less than $1k.
I'm betting the goal is to hide that it was a cop car and flip it. Basically make it the next guys problem
i like the red truck. auctions seem interesting. my uncle used to be a auctioneer. that police suburban is cool. great deals.
I had one identical to yours. Great van no issues. There is a plastic shield that protects the fuel filler neck and mine held and trapped dirt right to the top. Ideal to remove it, wash out the dirt and check for rust.
For how many people where there im suprised you even bought it for 2k. Probably one of the best deals there. Think you got a pretty good van overall.
was the second cheapest vehicle sold there!
Good pick. A lot of people would pass on a minivan but you got a great deal.
Good choice for buying that mini van👍
What Oil change interval do you recommend? With synthetic blend or full synthetic
Van seems like a decent deal. Cant beleive some of those prices.....
Pumped to see another video from you man! Loving the content and wish you were able to produce more content while in school but totally get why you can’t!
I would say you need to keep that van! You got a good deal on it! Butt that ridiculous how much the All the other vehicles were going for
Nice dad's mobile. What a steal!
new grease mobile? that's what you called your Chrysler.
Good deal!
You did good buddy my hats off
Hell yeah great deal. Thanks for the upload bro 🙌
That's a great deal.
Sorry to hear about the wreck glad all is well! What a steal of a van!
Ford Explorers have exuast fumes coming into cabin issues.
Lets get our man Rural Vermonter 100k!!!
I tell you man, the one good thing Chrysler makes outside of their Jeeps are the vans.
Do all the maintenance on the van. Show us all the fixes.
These slightly older/newer, 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan's are decent in reliability.
Bro, you got a very good deal on that van. If you were down here in Jersey you would have not been able to afford anything including the van. Out of control in the used vehicle market. A lot of these used car dealers are about to get burned. The used car market is collapsing. Next year will be a good year to mop up.
You should keep it for a while and then do a roadtrip to a warm place. And sell it in the state you end up in.
2 grand for a 3.3 caravan is a good deal for one of those. I would get one just as a hauling or overlanding van
I worked for a township in ny and I would never buy a government vehicle. Make sure and get the diminished value on your truck . Since they’re going to fix it. It’ll have a dirty carfax report now.
Not a bad score! Crazy how people overpaid for some of those cars just to get an engine with rod knock..lol
🇺🇸Hey, Quincy;

I've never been to an auction like that, but $2k sounds like a pretty good deal for the way it drives.
good deal for sure

2008+ they started putting better transmissions in them. At least from what I've seen with that body style they had less issues.
Hey man, I love your videos. One thing I was wondering is if they offered to sell your wrecked vehicle back. You could probably buy it for a great price and use it as a rebuild project. It may be too late. Hopefully if it’s something your into they still can.
they wanted 9k for the buyback! i said no way
Sucks about the truck but you got a good deal on that van
Another example why I gave up hitting auctions. Way too nuts on bidding.
Looks like a great buy!
great video! really enjoyed the insight into government auctions. but honestly, i can't help but wonder if buying used government vehicles is really worth it. aren't they likely to have hidden issues that could cost more in the long run? just a thought!
That was quick trip up 89.
Nice hoodie 💙❤️💙❤️ and nice vid as usual
Bro keep making videos super entertaining
I have found that people spend stupid high money on things at auctions.
They dont let you start them at that auction?
Good you are ok
Watch out buying a Traverse they are JUNK
Did They Had Any Ford Crown Victorias??
only 1
So they do not let you start the vehicle‘s up before they sell them
Not unless you go a few days early
You need some filters for your camera to reduce solar reflection.
What town was it in? Im in NH I want to go one day.
Auctions held mid-Oct and mid-May in Concord, NH on Clinton Street less than 1/4 mile off I-89 N or S at the White Farm
Better driver than those hemi chargers.. no speedig tices better gas Kms. Plus more shaggin room in the van.
How can I find auctions like this I need a backhoe
nothing is more fun than a cheap van

How does this affect Lighting McQueens legacy?
Michelle Obama
:Nice buy.
Awesome
Cool😀
Nice van
Where was this auction, how often do they have these
Flying Wheels on the right during the suburban auction ha
I thought that was him! Saw him there didn’t know for sure
Do the sell bluesmobiles?

Was this in concord nh
Any mileage on a police car doesn’t take into account the hundreds of hours it’s been sat idling while on duty.
Can any of you Vermont people help me? I need to get a Vermont temporary registration but don’t have a Vermont license! Thanks!
Having the rental lets you do a review on it at least.
I say keep the Van. Nice find
As a former northeast municipality mechanic I have seen prob thousands of vehicles at auction..there all overpriced rotted out junk.
Nice Van.
Don't u have to have insurance on car before you can register car

Funny I just watched Flying Wheels at this auction then this one
Ranger is locked because some one already started it and wants it.
Wait another 6 months and they will be half price.
Where is this auction I want to go to future auctions and buy a used a cop car
Concord nh
Dome of the prices they went for are crazy
Sounds like the auctioneer just graduated school
Auctions are like peddler malls.. overpriced almost retail prices 😢
