Someone at Dr. Praeger's is listening to you. Today, I purchased 2 of their products at Sprouts. They have avocado oil listed on their ingredients instead of expeller pressed canola oil. So awesome!
At age 64 I finally decided to go completely vegan, so I appreciate your time in helping me decide the healthiest choices, I've learned a lot already. Great video!
Thanks Bobby - since you mentioned you were not a fan of soy, is there anyway you can do a video on soy benefits/dangers. As with anything, there is so much conflicting information out there & I would like to hear your take on it.
can you please do a video regarding high protein soy meat/ tofu "met alternatives" form trader joes please discuss what you should look for when an item claims its "high protein" what to avoid and maybe a video on 'grain free' products such as "purely Elizabeth grain free granola" vs. the normal Elizabeth granola
Hey Bobby! Just got put on to your channel last month and use it as a guide now that I'm grocery shopping more often. I just wanted to ask, what are your thoughts on Morning Star Chipotle Veggie bean burgers?
I didn't know Beyond Burger had a new better recipe. I can't wait to try that one too. Hillary's and Amy's....thank you for sharing! I'm not Vegan but I adore a great burger and just won't eat them because I avoid beef. So I'm excited to try these. Thanks Bobby and Art!!!
Bobby I noticed you passed by the Engine 2 Plant Based Burgers? Thoughts on those please? I love love love all of your content. It’s been very helpful to this 60 year old grandma 🥰
I have had all the Engine 2 burgers, they are very dry, and they suck, unless you are going to chop them up and stick them in a wrap or taco shell. They are probably Bobby approved because there is no oil, no processed BS. Engine 2 is plant based as apposed to vegan.
A video on the best jelly/jam/ fruit spread. I have been trying to find a good one for the kids as they love pb&j. Smuckers natural and plolar is the best I've found locally, and they are still iffy to me.
I stumbled across your videos and I loved them I am not a vegan but I enjoy a vegan burger, and enjoy knowing what one's are a better choice, I also wanted to know if you can please let me know if lightlife is a good choice, because I see it alot at my local grocery store it says it dosen't have soy or gluten, but I'm not sure if it's a better choice, thank you Bobby
Hi Bobby, I am a new subscriber to your channel. I really enjoy watching your videos. They are very educational and I have learned a lot from them. Now I know what to really look for when reading labels. I was wondering if you could please do a video on the best healthy protein bars. I am hoping to find some that taste good and are actually good for you without all the extra junk in them.
Hi Bobby! New to your channel and I’m really enjoying everything you discover for this community. I was wondering if there’s a Sams Club near you? I don’t have a Cosco where I live just Sams. Thank you!
Great video! I watch out for yeast extract and MSG sensitive people can have reactions to it. Those Engine 2 burgers in the red box should have no added oil. The one I tried was very bland, but is good for whole food plant based folks.
The reason you probably aren't seeing avocado oil in a lot of stuff right now is bc there probably isn't enough supply. Plus that stuff is frozen and who knows how long it has been sitting in the freezer section at the store plus in the warehouse
Hey guys! Thank goodness there are better options then Boca burgers, because I was not always happy with the flavor! Mad love guys! 🖤 Kisses to baby cheeks Rose!
Good morning guys hope everyone is doing great. I saw at the store a first cold press sunflower oil, is this oil approve to use? Thank you so much I enjoy your hard work very much.
Bobby, you're doing a great service for both consumers and food producers here by showing them the way to eat and what to buy! That said, your videos of late have been pre-package & snack heavy. While that's exactly what busy families are looking for, it ignores what's ultimately best for the planet. A move towards buying bulk (minus packaging,) making your own, and growing your own (if at all possible,) is really the best way to go. Buying prepackaged/premade foods (including drinks of all things,) is a move away from where we should be going. Showing kids how things grow from the ground up and how to cook and how to choose ingredients is empowering and good for the planet. "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime."
Hi Bobby. I live in Chicago NW suburbs Schaumburg. I love your videos. They are very informative and extremely useful. Thanks for doing that. We really appreciate. I request you to please make video on Best Bone Broth in the market to buy. Thanks again
I see Engine 2 bellow Hilary. Those are absolutely the healthiest vegan burgers. No added oils, little dry to taste but great with avocado on top of the bun.
Hi Bobby, was looking for the best tasting veggie burger for a cookout. I myself like a 1/3 lb. ground beef burger (80%meat-20%fat) on a butter toasted bun with cheese, pickles, onions and ketchup. But I have a few friends that are vegetarians and want to cook the best tasting burger for them. Don't want a burger that is unhealthy but is does not have to be perfect. I will be 75 years old in July and just love a good burger. In fact, we are going over to my daughters house tonight for burgers. I am going to take a couple of my own made up burgers because they have Turkey burgers to cook. I weigh my ground beef on an electronic scale then press it with a 4-5/8" Weber burger press.
Omg....your my go to for shopping. I'm about to order your book to help me out. Maybe then I can figure out why you said natural flavor is something you don't like. Forgive me I'm new to eating healthy. I've been studying for a year and I still feel food stupid 😁🤪😊
What about Field Roast products I love their chao cheese and many of their other products eg the Sausage and Egg Breakfast Muffin (all vegan) and hot dogs etc
Best thing to do is make your own it’s really easy and so delicious. My coworker used to make a really easy delicious black bean burger. I’d throw it on some Ezekiel bread!
I eat Dr pregers too ..they have them at a good price in Costco..i only eat beyond burgers once in awhile but I read they r processed with chemicals thanks to Monsanto..
Correct me if I'm wrong here but, safflower oil is used to make CLA supplementation correct? So therefore Amy's Burger made with the safflower oil actually has CLA which is a great amino acid that's known for a healthy fat metabolism. Yes?
Just because the ingredients may meet your stringent demands for contents it says little about taste. Texture and consistency of a veggie burger should not be soggy or tasteslike something other than a good burger. I agree with you assessment of the Beyond burgers. The most burger like burger that is not beef. I will try Amy's but I won't get my hopes up.
I'm trying to get away from soy so I'm glad I ran into this video. I want to get the beyond burger but there is no expiration date on it at any of the supermarkets in my area of manhattan
Hi! I’m so glad I’m find your channel I’m a new subbie also a Chicagoian your videos are so helpful because I’m Pescatarian vegetarian and sometimes vegan🌱😎🤩😁
This was very helpful - thanks! Please do a video where you expand upon meatless products. I watch your videos, but always wish you would do an extensive video about vegetarian/vegan products/options, especially since you don't recommend soy products.
Feeling some type of way with my morning star veggie patties! :(. But I just spent $88 bucks on hillarys patties coming in next week. Thanks for the knowledge my dude!! #subscribed!
First, I'm an omnivore who loves beef burgers. However, some "veggie" burgers just taste very good, so I eat them. My favorite is Amy's Quarter Pound Veggie Burger, overall. I like the flavor and size (I'm 6'1" so the standard smaller burgers are a bit small for a meal). It may not be perfect in the ingredients, but it's better than most. Also, it tastes close to a real burger. No, not exactly, but close enough for rock & roll. Take care.
Don Lee Farms hands down has the best bean burgers, they have the most protein as well. They are damn near impossible to find now sadly, even costco stopped carrying them. Beyond burgers are the best choice if you want an imitation meat burger, yes it is ultra processed but it's the cleanest imitation meat burger at the store.
Ronald Joseph Not a substitute for a filet mignon, but try grilling a Portobello mushroom as a burger substitute. I marinate the mushroom in a garlic-herb EVOO vinaigrette overnight, and then grill it on the stove in a ridged grill pan (or outdoors on a grill). I serve it like a hamburger, on a bun with traditional toppings and condiments.
i love the ideas of all these videos but will you please do an equivalent of the best TASTING options that have healthy ingredients? I dont want to buy the best ingredients if it tastes like cardboard LOL
@Tyler Morales I have seen him recommend items like chickpea or black bean pasta that have the texture of wet cardboard. I just would like a review where he tastes them also and doesn't just list ingredients.
Someone at Dr. Praeger's is listening to you. Today, I purchased 2 of their products at Sprouts. They have avocado oil listed on their ingredients instead of expeller pressed canola oil. So awesome!
My dad is Dr
praeger. He did listen. We changed our ingredients. More cash for us now
Someone give this guy a TV show please!
Why? Hes better off on Utube 🤷♀️
Maximus Areilius i agree, but it was just meant as a compliment.
He'll beat Dr Oz!
Yes!
No because there no Costco channel yet
The Morning Star burgers with water chestnuts is my favorite!
Loving the 'shorts'. Often I don't have the time to watch a longer video, these are just great. Please keep them up!🙂
Wish the products at the stores had a Bobby approved stamp on it,,,would make my shopping easier 🙃
At age 64 I finally decided to go completely vegan, so I appreciate your time in helping me decide the healthiest choices, I've learned a lot already. Great video!
yes, please more emphasis on plant based food and preparing meatless meals!
Check out Forks over Knives stuff, They have magazines, cookbooks and if you follow them on FB you can get tons of awesome recipes for free.
@@bleuwild6796 woah thanks
Why so against soy??
working on this!
Thank you for all you do to help us be healthier and make informed choices. off to try Amy’s! 💖
I wish there was a taste test of these veggie burgers

Loving these short videos....thanks
Loving these videos Bobby! Thanks for keeping us up to date and on our toes! I love veggie burgers Dr. Praeger's and the beyond burgers. Yum! 😋
Thanks Bobby - since you mentioned you were not a fan of soy, is there anyway you can do a video on soy benefits/dangers. As with anything, there is so much conflicting information out there & I would like to hear your take on it.
❤️ the shorts Bobby & Art!!!
Absolutely love and appreciate your videos. Got and can’t wait to use your cookbook thanks for all you and Dessie do
Thank you so much for this! My husband being the chef in our household is always looking for vegetarian options for me 💕☺️
I love these shorts. Keep them coming.
Could you address the veggie chicken options?
can you please do a video regarding high protein soy meat/ tofu "met alternatives" form trader joes

Hey Bobby! Just got put on to your channel last month and use it as a guide now that I'm grocery shopping more often.
I just wanted to ask, what are your thoughts on Morning Star Chipotle Veggie bean burgers?
I substituted one of our meals every month with veggie alternatives. And I get our veggie burgers from aldi's because of the wide variety they have.
Yea man I thank U, I just learned something today! 👍🏿

What do you think about the Quorn products??
A taste test is greatly needed. Some of those burgers are tasteless
Yes I agree.
@@MaryR7256 I agree too!
Use good toppings and bread or wraps 🤷♀️
Maximus Areilius not paying the price for these burgers to compensate for the fact they are tasteless just to eat it
Just use them as buns for your nice juicy meet burgers 🍔🤣🤣

Will have to try the kale burger from Aldi. I think I only tried the black bean one.

Completely right. Plus, if they did the price would go way up.
Costco Dallas sells choose food organic expeller pressed sesame oil for 10$
Hi Bobby, Why do the stores try to throw you out? Teaching people to read labels is a good thing and doesn't hurt their bottom line.
Off the subject but would you be able to recommend a collagen product ? I’m just starting to see so much about it! Thanks! Kisses to Rosie💋👶

Hello FlavCity family
U ROCK BOBBY !!!
Do you mentioned taste? Some veggie burgers aren't very tasty. Could you do a cooking show with them and some options for toppings?

Hey Bobby, can you let us know what stores you're in so that we can know where to pick up "Bobby Approved" items? Thanks!
That's Whole Foods
What about Morning Star veggie Burger you didn't review that
He'll hate them because they admit to using GMO crops.
Lol! And I am always afraid that I will see my brand, " in the ones you should stay away from!" Seriously.
And you probably already know which items they are. Haha
Thanks for your videos Bobby and doing great job but we look forward for more stores other than WHOLE FOODS groceries. No sure why only Amazon stores?
Time for you and Art to make your own foods. I will be a loyal customer.
What's wrong with sunflower oil exactly?
I'll be glad to see a meat free 8 oz filet mignon one day....
