I haven't actually heard or seen anyone say that about this channel but I can definitely see why. No one wants to hear what they could do better. They take it as negative criticism. I've given up on helping certain people because they just don't care and think they are doing just fine eating unhealthy (because they don't see it as unhealthy). And if they are happy, trying to change/help them is almost impossible (and I'm not going to disrupt their happiness). If they aren't open to it it's not worth the time.
Bobby, when I live in Asia, we used to get milk delivered from the farm, the layer of fat on the milk tastes fantastic! I never had any problems with milk until I came to the US. Then all of a sudden, I have symptoms similar to being lactose intolerant. Eventually, I realized that over pasteurization has killed all the enzymes and nutrients in the milk. Now, I avoid milk with long expirations and stick with grass fed whole milk. Miraculously, I’m able to drink milk again.
This is exactly the same case for me. Back in home, I used to drink milk right out of the farm (after boiling). Then, I came to the US and everything changed. I have become lactose intolerant. If I drink a small amount of milk, I feel so bad for a couple of days. I will try grass-fed milk. Thanks for the suggestions.

Thanks for talking about raw milk. We sold raw organic grassfed milk for many years. Until the state got involved, didn't want the government wasting time and money. Now instead of milking 15 cow's I milk one for ourselves. She gets spoiled. I'm glad I found your channel, keep up the great work
I used to travel 50 miles to get milk from you! Since finding you, my son drank it all the way through high school and never missed a day of school! The the milk and cream at the top were out-of-this world! I still think of you and your lovely farm and continue to our share our experience with others to this day. I wish I could get raw milk again, especially from you! My son is now in medical school….oh how I wish that I could bring him such healthful milk every couple weeks! Thank you for those years!
Yes, European butter definitely is way better but there's a lady here on TH-cam, named Urvashi, who shows us how to make our own ghee, and get this with the cheaper Kirkland Signature brand that Costco has, the purpose of ghee is to eliminate ALL water the butter may contain and once the rolling bubbles subside, and the milky foam settles to the pan bottom, than that's when we've achieved making some good quality ghee with a cheap brand of butter.
Joe Serrano , hello, but did you read the LABLE on the COSTCO GHEE? It comes from INDIA, AND PACKAGED IN USA, MY STORE 320 IN UNION NJ, IS OUT OF IT FOR WEEKS NOW. Cheers From NJ 🇺🇸🇺🇸

I wind up drinking less of it because it is more satisfying. Now you're telling me It is actually better for me as well! Love your channel because I am always learning something.
I don't know somebody corrected me I don't know if it's in my head or what I got to organic milk and to me it takes a little thicker than the other regular milk so I don't know but I think I like to organic taste better and I think it's a little thicker maybe it's in my head so I'll just stick with the organic milk, horizon that's the brand
I'm binge watching some of these older videos and how prophetic this one was! You held up a shelf stable milk that was to expire in March 2020 and talked about a zombie apocalypse without even knowing that the country was going to shut down in March 2020 due to COVID-19. Chills!
I buy grassfed whole milk and then divide it up into small bottles ( half full) and freeze. When I need milk I take one out and when it's defrosted I finish filling the bottle with filtered water. I NEVER throw milk out and I'm paying half price(effectively) and it tastes great(I used to drink regular cruddy 1% or 2% milk...yuk)
Usually the products in front of the dairy case will expire first. I try to grab something from the back of the case which will have a longer shelf life.
YES, BESIDES, THE "FRESHEST" STILL MAY NOT BE THE FRESHEST. COMPANIES HAVE A TENDENCY TO CHANGE DATES, I HAVE SPOKEN TO WORKERS THAT CONFESSED CHANGING DATES PER COMPANY ORDERS JUST TO GET PRODUCT OUT
If everybody was so greedy and got the freshest stuff at the back of the shelf then it would make the rest of the food go bad. Then they have to throw it out.

Warm it up to room temp overnight. Also, after I spread butter on toast from the toaster, I stick it on the pan for a minute after the eggs are done to slightly brown it. Super tasty.
It is still grain fed, but not as much. Having taste tested almost all of the butters he talked about and many more besides, I can safely say that I have never had a butter better than Kerrygold. I have tried everything I can side by side and Kerrygold always wins. Every time.

Remember Colorado, Oregon and California's attempt to reveal GMO in food via a proposition? Many corporations donated to defeat that in excess of $25,000,000. Horizon Organic indirectly was one of those (GMA) along with majors like Monsanto, Kraft, Pepsico etc. , please avoid this brand; Organic Valley supported our attempt to reveal GMO. Please support them.
Greg Taylor I was just watching Bobby’s Thanksgiving haul video and he stated organic does not necessarily mean there are no pesticides but that the pesticides used are USDA approved organic pesticides.
@@davids6898 I just looked up why Horizon Organics got involved. I'm highly disappointed as I think their milk tastes so good. Not sure where I'll go from here now, if it will end up bothering me too much. Even if it is totally free of anything, it's the fact of the matter. They are owned by Dean Foods. This is the site that gave me good information on this...www.mnn.com/food/healthy-eating/blogs/why-would-a-company-with-an-organic-food-brand-oppose-proposition-37
Most organic companies are owned by big food now. I would rather give my money to Organic Valley or Maple Hill if I’m going to blow $5-6 on some 100% grass fed milk. Plus the Horizon grass fed milk is not 100% grass fed.
Hey there, greetings all the way from zimbabwe. I love watching your channel though much of what you talk about is not relevant to me as not applicable for obvious reasons. I live in a country where we only have full fat cows milk. It is fresh and only has a 2 day life as after that it turns sour. Our cows are grass fed and allowed to roam freely. In my country a very minor percentage are lactose intolerant, not sure if this is related to the fact that we do not have other choices. All our dairy products are full fat as well. I was in the USA recently and one thing I noticed is your milk does not taste like ours. Ours is delicious, maybe something to do with our cows.....just wanted to share this 😊
jennifer cohen My daughter lived in Germany for two years and I thought they had the most delicious butter. It was wonderful on their good crusty rolls. I think we pasteurize all the flavor out of everything.
@@qadrahussein5166 I remember that steri milk. They no longer make that......it is all just the fresh milk now that has a 2 day life maximum. As you say it is all a matter of taste and what we are used to
It should be considered criminal fraud to imply in big letters on the front of the product that it is just butter and olive oil when it's not. The amount of dishonesty allowed in food product marketing is stunning.
I recently switched to the organic grass fed milk, it is too expensive for my budget but it taste so good. I haven't wanted to drink a glass a milk in years and now I need a snack I get a little glass and it's very satisfying.
Kerry Gold has been my favorite for quite awhile. The taste and texture are wonderful. Aldi sells an Irish butter that is also very good for similar price as Costco.
Thank you very much and I’m buying the healthy food you recommended. But I have a question that concerns me a lot. Can you please answer the question for me ?: Who is responsible for monitoring and certifying that food labeled as ‘organic’ or ‘grass-fed’ meets the required standards? How can consumers be assured that these products are genuinely organic and grass-fed?
Organic Valley Grass-Fed Whole Milk with the Cream on Top is the best choice of the list. It's the only one that isn't homogenized which is very important.
joe smith hello, but UNTIL the end of WW II, ALL COWS WERE NON GMO, the US GOVERNMENT had a SURPLUS OF CORN, let’s see what the farmers will do with it, some gave it to their COWS and noticed just heavy they became, BUT they also GOT SICK, so now here came the ANTIBIOTICS , as the vets were trying to keep these cows from dying, more ANTIBIOTICS, now , you do know that COWS ARE HERBIVORES, not meant to eat GRAIN. , and so they went to feed lots for slaughter much quicker than just GRASS FED , So now you know the rest of the story. Cheers From NJ. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Best milk is Alexandre an eco dairy, organic whole milk & it is made from A2/A2 cows and it is delicious! YUM! Whole Foods carries this brand. Try it you won't be disappointed!
Bobbie channel is the best. Depending on each individual, the 100% grassfed full milk still affects my arthritis and inflammation. I still consume it once a while, not everyday . However the cottage cheese, yogurt grassfed full fat has no effect on my body. I found at Costco and grassfed milk at sprouts, 18 dollars a gallon, 10 for half size. Wholefood markets don't carry grassfed milk, only sprouts market.
I feel like there was a real lack of goat and sheep dairy coverage. I’d like to see more sheep and goat dairy (cheese, yogurt, kefir, milk, etc) videos.
Kerrygold butter has gone up at Costco at least in Cali. I’ve been buying it for 5 years now and it has gone from 10$ to 13$. It recently went up because of the tariffs I suppose but still worth it
Yeah they got sued because their wrapper contained pfas and other toxins don’t know if y’all know about pfas? But it be nice to have a video on it.. very interesting research on it it’s literally everywhere! 😢
Hi Bobby, I hope you still monitor comments, even the old ones. I was pretty sure you had done a report of Kerrygold in the past sometime ago and found it in one dated two years ago. Today's date; 10/23/2022. I have noticed lately that Kerrygold has become Americanized in that, the company is now adding not only cream and salt to make the butter but milk. It has become just as watery to cook with just as the cheaper brands of "butter" sold in America. I used to cringe everytime I bought Kerrygold but justified the higher price because it tasted more creamy, and no extra liquid added. Eggs fried in Kerrygold were fried, not poached, cakes and cookies had consistant results; lately, I noticed water in the butter. I read on the back, they now add milk to butter to make more profit I assume. Now, I am dumping Kerrygold and going back to regular supermarket butter and save the extra $2. If you have a mind to, it would be great if you could verify what Kerrygold is doing to its consumers and let us know. Thanks.
Good Morning Bobby!! Can you do a baking what to use and not use?? Flour, oil, sugar?? I know you do a lot of tutorials but in depth and just a suggestion!! ;)

So much easier to just buy a good whole milk and put raw Cocao (raw chocolate) and your choice of sweetener and good vanilla. Just put it in a blender on high.
Thank you for all the info. It is so confusing going grocery shopping. I would love a review on simple water. It’s not so simple. So many kinds and very tricky to choose the best one.
Being Diabetic Type 2, I tend to avoid milk as it is a boatload of sugar. If I have any dairy, it is usually in the form of Heavy Cream, Greek Yogurt, or a Cheese.
I do have a problem using so much out of USA produced foods. As a farmers daughter living my childhood on a Minnesota dairy farm knowing our cows by name and how ours were treated. Yes we barned our cows indoors during winter. We also were lucky to have deep artisan style well water who we all drank as well as our animals. Our cows were on grass all summer, we feed hay, silage with cane and corn mix, and ground oats and corn. They recieved the ground grain everyday twice, always hay and silage as long as it lasted. Fresh water at all times. They were bedded down with fresh clean oat straw. You cannot understand how hard our lives were to get the AAAgrade milk we produced was. But prices then and now are nothing we are paying for at our stores. We need more milk cattle producers in our Country and I will pay more for Dairy to keep milk producers alive in this Country. By the way I have very good bones and just 4 cavities in this 64 year old body. A body riddled and broken down working as a farmers daughter treated like a boy keeping up with a harder working man. By the way he turned 89 last July with the physical activity of a much younger man. Fresh milk has a whole different taste and even years after my last fresh milk we all shake our milk jugs to mix the cream! Our milk was used for the excellent quality of the cream for special use. Please try to help our own Countries farmers more thank you.
Thinking about trying some raw milk, so I'm going to visit a dairy farm soon. A little nervous but also excited...trying to slowly kick out all the bad things in my diet and replace them with healthier things.
Raw milk is pretty bad for you though. It contains all the harmful bacteria pasteurization gets out. Including E.coli, salmonella, and listeria. It’s not FDA approved for a reason. The claims of it being healthy are not backed up.
Me neither. Actually we’re the only ones still drinking it after weened. It’s not good for you anyway. Dairy is the main reason we deal with mucus and arthritis ☹️
Great video! Very informative... I would love to see a video on pots and pans and the materials used... stainless steel, non stick, cast iron, cast steel, clay, aluminum sandwiched layers of stainless steel ... I know its not produce/dairy related but its an important part of our nutrition and flavor. I personally believe non stick and aluminum should never be used.... would like to know what you guys think. Thanks!
Mianlo 2 , whenever I use my cast iron, I lightly brush on a coating. Of oil, but there are Some non stick which I use, . Also never deep fry anything, but just saute’ with GHEE , no need for a super high flame I see many use. Cheers from NJ 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I've used stainless for a long time, but for Christmas, I bought myself some light-weight cast iron skillets, to see what all the hoopla was about, and so far I love them. They retain heat really well. I made sure to follow the instructions 100% to prep them, and now they're pretty non-stick. I also read most of the reviews to see how others liked them, and if they were too heavy. I find they are about the same weight as my stainless. These are the ones I bought: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FM6NC58/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I know Bobby Parrish just mentioned that Kerry Gold is a great brand and it is. However, I just found out that the Kerry Gold in the in the wrapping contains metals called PFAS basically the Teflon on pans to prevent food from sticking. I still will continue to buy this brand just not in the wrapping. Kerry Gold is fixing the issue. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up for our health and well being.
So glad you asked what else we want to see! While watching this I was thinking... I always watch while cooking. I try to take notes but my hands are busy in food. You always mention words and ingredients to avoid or to look for and I try to remember but once I’m at the store I forget what sort of sunflower oil did Bobby day was ok? Have you made a video that just goes through a simple break down of all these ingredients you tell us regularly to avoid or to look for? It would be awesome to have it all in one place and have one video to refer to rather than racking my brain of where you mentioned it last. If you’ve already done this can you refer the link please? Would love to see a few more practical cooking videos, possibly for larger families. Please?! 😊 Not to scare anyone away from raw milk, but I will put it out there to be careful. There was a reason they decided to pasteurized milk. I developed a awful fungus/rash from raw cows milk. Many naturopaths later and by eliminating milk from my diet it went away. However, it wasn't until antibiotics killed whatever bacteria I got from that milk that I could have it again. That was a 2 year ordeal.
I'm curious to know which food products survive being canned. Canned tomatoes actually have more bioavailable lycopene and antioxidants than fresh raw tomatoes, I think pumpkin is OK canned. I know green vegetables suck (I mean, they're not even green anymore, they go a weird Army drab grey-green). But what about pineapple, or applesauce, or... Any guidance on that?

My father in law was diagnosed with high blood pressure and high cholesterol also his triglycerides were crazy high. I am helping him get on an anti inflammatory diet but I have family telling him against it because they believe whole milk is horrible that low fat is better and I don’t know how to get them to understand in moderation he is fine, but whole 100% grass fed milk is the way to go.
I remember in college, I used to exclusively buy the generic 2% milk and used it for drinking and cooking. Then when I learned more about healthy eating, I switched to whole. And several months ago, a winter storm was about to hit, and naturally that meant everyone went to the store to panic-buy supplies (I live in the deep South; snow and ice are not normal here and everyone freaks out when it happens). I needed to run to the store because we were almost out of milk. They were completely out of the generic whole milk, but they had several gallons of the organic whole milk. I shrugged and bit the bullet on the higher price. I've never gone back. The organic is noticeably creamer and keeps its great flavor longer than the generic. It's so good! Now I only buy the organic whole milk. Next I'm looking for a farmer who can sell me raw cos's milk, since I live in a state where it's legal to buy, but grocers can't carry it; only licensed dairy farmers. The nearest one is an hour from my house. But if the raw is even better than the pasteurized organic, it will be so worth it! Wish me luck!

Thanks for talking about raw milk. We sold raw organic grassfed milk for many years. Until the state got involved, didn't want the government wasting time and money. Now instead of milking 15 cow's I milk one for ourselves. She gets spoiled. I'm glad I found your channel, keep up the great work
Hi do you still sell?
I used to travel 50 miles to get milk from you! Since finding you, my son drank it all the way through high school and never missed a day of school! The the milk and cream at the top were out-of-this world! I still think of you and your lovely farm and continue to our share our experience with others to this day. I wish I could get raw milk again, especially from you! My son is now in medical school….oh how I wish that I could bring him such healthful milk every couple weeks! Thank you for those years!
You can still sell

I used to buy American butter, now because of finding your videos, I buy the European butter! YASSSS! 🧈🧈
I couldn’t agree more. European butter is much better. Finlandia is great as well.
I bought the Kerrigold tonight because he recommended it in another video.
The European version of almost any food tastes better and is healthier than the American version. sad but true...
Joe Serrano , hello, but did you read the LABLE on the COSTCO GHEE? It comes from INDIA, AND PACKAGED IN USA, MY STORE 320 IN UNION NJ, IS OUT OF IT FOR WEEKS NOW. Cheers From NJ 🇺🇸🇺🇸
I always choose Irish butter, the difference is obvious is color, how it melts down, flavor. Great stuff
*Butter from POLAND* is much better.

I grew up on nonfat milk in my household. When I moved out on my own I went to 1% and 2%. But for a couple of years now I have been getting whole milk. I wind up drinking less of it because it is more satisfying. Now you're telling me It is actually better for me as well! Love your channel because I am always learning something.
Dude same. It’s the best. Thanks for sharing! ❤️
I went from whole milk to 2%...best compromise between fat and taste. 1% tastes like milky water.
Yes! Don't consume low fat anything.Low fat milk contains more of the ingredients that cause allergies and sensitivity.
raw milk only, if its not raw dont drink !!!!!
Chills!
Oh my goodness, i was thinking the same thing when he held that up! YIKES!! Life still never has felt the same since before that date.😢
I'm watching this in 2024 and I had the same thought! Bobby didn't know how close to the truth that comment was!
You accidentally made a really important point. ALWAYS check expiration dates on everything you buy and buy the most fresh product.
Usually the products in front of the dairy case will expire first. I try to grab something from the back of the case which will have a longer shelf life.
Agreed, I bought Oatmilk by MALK that had an expiration date within 6 days & it was sour as hell. Never again
Another good the about Organic Milk is it has a long life. Why is that?
YES, BESIDES, THE "FRESHEST" STILL MAY NOT BE THE FRESHEST. COMPANIES HAVE A TENDENCY TO CHANGE DATES, I HAVE SPOKEN TO WORKERS THAT CONFESSED CHANGING DATES PER COMPANY ORDERS JUST TO GET PRODUCT OUT
If everybody was so greedy and got the freshest stuff at the back of the shelf then it would make the rest of the food go bad. Then they have to throw it out.

Bobby nailed it on the butter. Kerry Gold butter is definitely the best. The flavor and color are so much better then the others.
How do use it for spreading on toast its a little hard?
How do you get it to spread on toast?
Warm it up to room temp overnight. Also, after I spread butter on toast from the toaster, I stick it on the pan for a minute after the eggs are done to slightly brown it. Super tasty.
Betty Alaniz I let it sit on the counter for a few minutes prior. It’s a bit inconvenient, but the taste is so worth it!!
It is still grain fed, but not as much. Having taste tested almost all of the butters he talked about and many more besides, I can safely say that I have never had a butter better than Kerrygold. I have tried everything I can side by side and Kerrygold always wins. Every time.
I have Mennonite friends who live nearby and they have cows; they let me come over and get raw milk as long as I milk the cow myself.
Do you churn the cream? And make the butter?
That's cool of them.
Raw milk is the best. All the nutrition is in there. Not burned away from the heat of pasteurization.
Only I don't like lumps of anything in anything that I drink!
That's really, really cool!! Udderly delicious!!
Sorry, couldn't help it!

i use only Irish, New Zealand, or Brittany butters. And try brushing EVOO on your bread and then toast it - you'll be amazed!
Kerrygold butter makes amazing clarified butter or ghee! I love it’s hue and texture. In winter it doesn’t harden as regular butter!
I always try to get the European stuff.

You’d be surprised how many labels marked “organic” really are not.
Why would Horizon Organics want to do that, it's suppose to be a really good company with good standards?
Ours is delicious, maybe something to do with our cows.....just wanted to share this 😊
I only drink sour milk - homemade kefir, tasty and healthy
jennifer cohen My daughter lived in Germany for two years and I thought they had the most delicious butter. It was wonderful on their good crusty rolls. I think we pasteurize all the flavor out of everything.
I lived in Zimbabwe once and, hunny them steri milk y’all got there ain’t that great.. but what can I say maybe everyone has their preferences.
@@qadrahussein5166 I remember that steri milk. They no longer make that......it is all just the fresh milk now that has a 2 day life maximum. As you say it is all a matter of taste and what we are used to
Too bad zimbabwe is a shithole.

Thank you very much and I’m buying the healthy food you recommended. But I have a question that concerns me a lot. Can you please answer the question for me ?:
Who is responsible for monitoring and certifying that food labeled as ‘organic’ or ‘grass-fed’ meets the required standards? How can consumers be assured that these products are genuinely organic and grass-fed?
Organic Valley Grass-Fed Whole Milk with the Cream on Top is the best choice of the list. It's the only one that isn't homogenized which is very important.
Yes and it's not ultra pasteurized either. I'm very disappointed that they decided to start ultra pasteurizing their products

joe smith hello, but UNTIL the end of WW II, ALL COWS WERE NON GMO, the US GOVERNMENT had a SURPLUS OF CORN, let’s see what the farmers will do with it, some gave it to their COWS and noticed just heavy they became, BUT they also GOT SICK, so now here came the ANTIBIOTICS , as the vets were trying to keep these cows from dying, more ANTIBIOTICS, now , you do know that COWS ARE HERBIVORES, not meant to eat GRAIN. , and so they went to feed lots for slaughter much quicker than just GRASS FED , So now you know the rest of the story.

Kerrygold butter has gone up at Costco at least in Cali. I’ve been buying it for 5 years now and it has gone from 10$ to 13$. It recently went up because of the tariffs I suppose but still worth it

Thanks.

Thank you, Bobby and Art for all that you do for us.
Hi Bobby can you speak to the homogenization process of most milks I heard that affects the way we are able to consume it.
I choose European, EU products every time I can. They are just overall cleaner. Did you talk about lactose free butter? Is that ghee only?
Bobby never talk about coconut milk. I hate regular milk

Not to scare anyone away from raw milk, but I will put it out there to be careful.
So you should've put the raw milk you tout to be the best type of milk below the conventional milk!
Hey Bobby & Art! This was another awesome video. You’re keeping me aware about the foods I’m putting into my body. Keep up the great job!👍🏾
So enjoy your content! Thank you for all of the time and research you have done! And thank you for explaining things in a simple manner that I can grasp! I’m learning so much and learning how to purchase better food for my family! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Thank you Bobby for this, and ALL the videos💓I’m learning a lot, and buying much healthier thanks to you.
Thank you so much for this informative video about Milk and Butter! I'm pretty much dairy-free, but I've been consuming tons of Earth Balance Buttery Spread, not realizing that it has soybean, canola, and palm oil which is bad! You answered my nagging question.
We need grass-fed milk at Aldi in SoCal.
Pelon I haven’t seen it in mine in TN either...
Pelon it’s at Sprouts and Ralph’s in SD.
It is not at mine anymore 😟I used to buy it all the time.
Just go to sprouts or trader joes
The added omega 3 will give a bad taste .😐 I always go for that Maple Hills 100% grass fed or Organic Valley one. Butter- always Kerrygold
I always go for the 100% grass fed by maple hill and organic valley too... but am disappointed to learn that both brands ultra pasteurize their grassmilk. I just posted a comment up above on this..
Great video, I still think the only dairy that should be purchased from the supermarket is raw cheese
