B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!!
Thank you!
Oh my goodness…spectacular. I think regular foil or heavy duty would do the trick…the product you list comes in enormous quantity. I wouldn’t live long enough to use it up😉please…Comment if I am wrong. Thank you.
Oh - this is the foil we use in our kitchen - the pre-cut sheets are SO much better than those stupid rolls in boxes that fall apart LOL. We probably use a box per year - the thinner weight is nice for reheating faster. If you use regular weight foil for this technique - be prepared for wrinkles - not necessarily a bad thing - just different.
I wish you would have showed how exactly you added the foil to cardstock. What kind of adhesive did you use?
The adhesive is in the supply list!
Do you attach the foil with double stick tape into the card stock?
Is it heavy duty foil? Amazing project. By the way I love your videos, I learn so much. Thank you
Thank you! I used the adhesive in the supply list in the description. And no - it's a special light foil - it's also in the supply list.
So gorgeous. And the gold at the end is like magic!
Thank you! It felt magical!
I love it.... Wishing you a very Merry Christmas filled with many blessings mf. Enjoy. xx
Same to you!
Just gorgeous! How did you adhere the tin foil to your paper? Thanks!
Thank you! I used the adhesive in the supply list in the description.
@@UnderstandBlue thanks - I guess I wasn’t clear - by ‘how’ I meant what process did you use, not what product. I can’t quite figure out in my head how you get thin aluminum foil to obey 😜
That's so pretty and love the Fall background as Fall is my favorite. I want to try this when I make more Fall cards. Looks like fun and thanks for sharing this great idea with us.
Thank you so much!
How do you keep the fumes from alcohol ink under control in your craft room? I am always concerned about where to use the inks.
I sit right in front of a window and I just open it.
Great idea. You make it look sooo easy.
However needed to spend more time on showing how much gold acrylic you had on brayer loading and how runny it is.
I just did this and had no idea on last stage as you made it three simple passes in few seconds with zero explanation so spoilt my piece.
I don't think my gold paint will work it's way too runny, I'm experienced at brayering so it's not that, it was insufficient explanation.
I'm trying gold Lunar paste next time.
And is tin foil the same as aluminium foil? As that's all we have here.
I think you need heavier card than i used and to adhere the foil to the card to reduce movements.
I did one with gesso and like it but not sure either will make cards.
Thanks for inspiration but sure wish you'd shown last stage properly.
I also didn't have gesso so used watered down texture paste but its fine.. i just lost lot of my colour rubbing off runny gold acrylic. Im in Oz so can't use Blick links you have on your blog. Thanks again though for sharing a great technique, will see if gold lunar paste is better on next attempts. Xx
You definitely do not want runny paint - Mine is the paint listed in the description box - I'd describe it as a medium body paint. The way I load paint on my brayer is to put a SMALL amount of paint - like two peas worth - onto a gel plate, and roll it out until I have a thin even layer. Yes, tin foil is aluminum foil. I use a pretty lightweight cardstock and a VERY lightweight foil with the adhesive in the list - I only use that adhesive because you can cover every bit of the cardstock. The scraper is also a must.
@@UnderstandBlue thank you. Yes figured it out last night and successfully brayered as you did. It looks stunning. Thanks very much did discover too need heavier card and adhere foil to it gives much better embossing. Will blog it DV in Feb. As busy month downunder in Jan.
Where are you? Australia was the only other place I've been that felt like home
@@UnderstandBlue yes Aust is in my opinion a very God blessed land. I live in one of its most beautiful parts. 😍 God's great mercy.
