Well,Marion, today I had equally as many mishaps on my art table. Had a clean up and decided to come watch this video. I have never thought to emboss foil and card, after playing with my alcohol inks. Thanks, for giving us this idea! I’ve been working on my Christmas cards, hoping to have 65 made in time for mailing. I’m going to play with this idea and and make some some snazzy holiday cards. Thanks again, Marion. I’m excited to go play, play, and play.
Well geez Marion I shouldn’t have watched your video this morning because now I’ve tossed all the things out the window I should do because I’ve got to try this. Your card is stunning! What a simple idea for a beautiful effect. Thanks for sharing. Patti
Really Lovely Marion, I could watch you every day. It’s ok to talk to yourself, if anyone hears you, tell them you are self employed and having a staff meeting. 😂😂❤
Beautiful card Marion and a great.technique. I agree those colours really work well together. Thanks for the inspiration, I so look forward to all your videos. Take care. Much love, Ann ❤❤❤xx
Agree with you Marion 🤩 it is stunning ! I have avoided alcohol inks because I thought they needed to be done on yupo paper and were complicated. You made it look so easy and quick - just a bit of foolish from the kitchen and an embossing folder. Thank you for sharing your talent 🤗 and your humour 😂
I think this packs a serious punch and so quickly (in almost 5 mins! 🤣)!!! Shiny and colorful. Don't be surprised if my Christmas card uses this technique! 😉😁❤️
@@marionemberson exactly what I was thinking! And the best part is I have rolls of aluminum foil in my garage just waiting to be used! I think it would make for a fantastic assembly line of cards. ❤️
You are a great artist, card maker and entertainer all in one! I love how you don’t care that you make a mistake, we are all human, and I love that about you. Wish you would come to the states, Florida in particular, to teach or just plain visit!
Thank you so much Carrie, oh I’ve been to Florida many times, I love that State, I also used to come over and teach, before the pandemic, then everything changed, I’m off to Nevada to see friends in October, so I’m hoping to do a live from there 🙈🙈🤗🤗🤗
If it was the pearl that was clogged , it’s more important to keep then upright and you have to really shake them so you disturb the mica . Love the technique . Going to have to buy some tin foil now ! Who cares how long it takes .
Yes, Julie, I was going to ask if that "clogged" one was a Pearl color. Those are NOT fluid until you shake them up and get the little blending ball moving freely.
@marionemberson I save all your videos so I can rewatch them..sometimes I watch them 3 or 4 times and also forward them to my crafty friends that I make cards with. Cha ching..😉😉😉😉
OMGosh! You're absolutely delightful and so fun to listen to! You sound so much like me - not that I think I'M delightful...lol - the way you talk to yourself. Instantly, I just had to follow you and your channel. I love this technique, btw. Can't wait to try it myself.
I had to make time in my craft room today to try this technique and it was so fun, I couldn’t stop! Thank you for the inspiration! It worked perfectly for me.
I Have learned so much from you that I continue to watch your amazing videos. This alcohol ink process is super cool and I will try it when I get home. I appreciate you and your videos 😊 God bless you 🙏❤
Hi Marion, I’ve had a go at this technique today but with sharpie pens as I didn’t have any alcohol inks only the alcohol. It came out ok and I made a card with the end result. I also found that the ink did come off onto my fingers a little so I sprayed hairspray over it as a fixing. I loved having a go. Thank you for sharing this technique. ❤
Hi Tracey, that’s good to know that it worked, I wonder why it came off ? It could be the ratio of ink to alcohol 🤷♀️🤷♀️ but hairspray is a great idea, thanks for sharing that 🥰🥰🥰
What a fun technique, Marion! I use Sharpie markers and 91% rubbing alcohol to make my own alcohol inks. I wonder if this technique would work with them? You always crack me up! I'd love to be neighbors! 😊
Ohhh I don’t see why not, I suppose it depends how much rubbing alcohol you put in as to how diluted it would be, I’ve got a few more alcohol ink videos coming up, I’m a bit addicted at the mo 😂😂😂🥰🥰🥰
This was so interesting and stunningly beautiful!!! I binged watched your videos yesterday until 4:30 this morning. You are brilliant!!!! I have never enjoyed nor learned so much from videos as yours. You are a delight! I have a question for you. Can you substitute plain glitter for the embossing powders? wow I love love this so so very pretty, I have seen foil being used before but I've never actually tried it myself but for a quick card it's brilliant and thank you for showing us all.
