Hi! My work surface is actually a large We R Makers glass mat on top of my desk. I also have a Simon Says Stamp silicone mat that I put the heat gun on top of, but that is more to keep my heat tool from rolling. If I was working on my laminate desk, then I would be more concerned about fire as it actually terrifies me. What you don’t see in the video is that my glass mat sits on top of a very large silicone mat, as well, to keep it from shifting on the desk. Since you mentioned fire safety, I always unplug my heat tool when not in use. Thank you so much for your concern! I really appreciate your comment! 😊
Neat technique and clear instructions, thank you! Btw, every time someone (including my husband) says tin foil I think kind of laugh and think huh? There’s been no tin in foil since 1910! 😅
@@villagecardandcrafts a kid more than a hundred years ago! 😂 Your cards are so pretty! Now I’m wondering about using a heavier duty foil too. I may have some Tim Holtz/Ranger foil sheets to try, though I know I’ll mess up on which side of the folder to apply Versamark.
No matter where you put the Versamark, just make sure you place the foil on top of it. Either way, it comes out lovely. Heavy duty foil works great too. Practice first before using a more expensive product.

Nice idea to make your own colored card stock for those that do not have a lot of space to have colored card stock
Thank you!
I use my xyron machine to apply the sticky.

Beautiful technique love it! Being the foil is soft would you send this card in the mail? Do you think it would warp it?
Thank you! I would definitely send it in a padded mailer.
