Regarding our noted discrepency in the manual related to the elastomer stack configuration, Heusinkveld have gotten back to us with the following: "It is an mistake in the product manual, which we will correct as soon as possible. All the illustrations simply show one spacer too few. It is therefore correct that the Sim Pedals Sprint brake pedal is delivered with 3 spacers and 28mm soft elastomer in the default setting. For use with the 19mm elastomers, 4 x 10mm spacers are required. Since printing the manual, an additional 5mm spacer has been added for even more versatility."
I'm glad I saw this bit about the extra spacer. It was the deciding factor for me. Just purchased through your link buddy :) Goodbye V3s, you served me well.
oh, my redline Sprints are getting a bit soft in the pedals and just looked and I have only 3 hard spacers . Heusinkveld didnt think it was important to let its customers know? You would think you would have an option to purchase new elastomer's ? At the moment I cant locate my spacers and elastomers so have contacted Heusinkveld asking can I buy a set. Will wait and see what there reply is. btw: my brake got a horrible squeak but thankfully I got a can of WS40 Dry Ptfe...one spray and it worked magic
I am obligated to mention, Heusinkveld customer service is simply incredible! I once broke the board with the connector for the USB cord. 100% stupidly my fault, admitted that to Heusinkveld while asking about the possibility of purchasing a replacement board, and they refused to take my money and sent me a replacement free of charge! Not only that, they sent with 2 day shipping to the States! And the modular design of the electronics made it so incredibly easy to fix. I wish they would make a direct drive wheel, I'd wager it would be the best on the market. 😏
One thing needs to be mentioned that their customer service goes above and beyond. I bought this pedals 2nd hand with 1 month left in warranty. I contacted them as I didn’t have the small wrench’s that comes with the kit as I needed to adjust the placement of the pedals. Enzo was more than happy to send me the missing wrench’s without asking any questions! Unfortunately they sent me the Allen keys instead of the requested wrench’s. They arrived super fast in 2 days and I live in the US. I emailed him again about the incident didn’t expect he would even care to read my mail but boy I was wrong! 2 days later they sent me a whole box full of accessories that includes the wrench’s! One of the best if not the best customer service I dealt with.
I'll definitely agree with you here. I too bought a used set of Sprints that were missing some of the spacers and elastomers. Sent them an e-mail, had a response within literally 5 minutes, an order created within 15 minutes and had the parts a few days later. Order placed on a Friday and parts arrived on Monday. I'm in the US. Just insane customer service. Went from V3's to these and couldn't be happier. I've had them about 2 months and no issues at all so far. The software is excellent. Took me about a week to dial them in to where I'm very comfortable with both software and mechanical adjustments(Yeah, slow learner, I know). Really can't go wrong with these.
@@RemcoHitman Mistakes happen even in the best costumer services. I dont think any reasonable and sane person would ever be upset as long as the costumer service sticks to it having been a msitake. If I weren't happy with my self-build pedals, Heusinkveld would definitely be on the top3 for what I would buy instead.
I'll keep this in mind I've been interested in Heusinkveld. I had a similar experience with Moza when I broke my USB port on my R12 they asked zero questions and sent me a new maintained without even having to ask for it it was a amazing experience
I upgraded from G27 pedals to HE sprints late last year. One thing I learnt is that the brake modulation you can get from these compared to G27 pedals introduces a whole new way of controlling the vehicle while under braking and mid corner. It did take me a good 5 hours to get my old G27 lap times back lol but now my lap times are more consistently fast then ever.
@@simonbruhn8062 Do it! My old and trusty G27 setup lasted me for 8+ years so I stand by their products for that reason, especially for people wanting to learn/start off in sim racing. The HE Sprints though are in a whole different league and their construction is comparable to some real world pedal boxes I've used. If you are still using the G29 wheel though, I feel as if that would be worth upgrading first as wheel feedback is ever so slightly more important than braking feel. Either way though, I can can guarantee every part of you will love it, maybe except for the wallet :)
Exactly my path and probably time. January '14 I got my G27, in like June '16 I modded them, removed from the case, custom wood pedal box, inverted, and the gteye brake spring, then swapping the rest out in line. Picked up the new pedals yesterday locally on sale, then ordered the rest of my rig online... wish I would have 2 weeks ago since I have all this week off of work... oh well.
I'm on my second set of these (had to sell the first one due to financial reasons) and can absolutely recommend them. Adjustments a plenty, compact size, great build quality, great understated looks, great software, reliable. I can't actually name one thing that would bother me with those. They hold their value too, so even if you don't like them and have to sell them after a while you'll still get good money for them. The base plate is not necessary if you have a rig like the SimLab ones where you have a proper pedal plate already - just screw them on and you're good to go. Edit: racing boots highly recommended if you wanna get the max out of these (the pedal plates edges feel sharp on bare feet. Note they are not sharp at all and you definitely won't cut your hand on them while handling, just the feeling while pressing with your bare feet)
Yup I had to sell my rig during covid caused by financial reasons had the sprints as well... Finally building one up now and I think im going for the ultimate this time
Nice in depth review. I have the non redlihe version. Owned 6 months now probably 10-20hrs per week use. Brake is excellent no probs. Throttle has required lubrication. Clutch became noisy within a few weeks. I have had to add a rubber sleeve to the rod inside the spring to stop the spring knocking. I've also had to ensure there was reasonable pre load. At light/low preloads problems occur. Tightening the rotation points and lubing it seems to resolve things. One note is that it seems almost impossible to buy a replacement clutch as a spare from at least one of the disties here in aus, and HE are also reluctant and wouldn't sell me one as a spare after asking more than once. No idea why. Unrelated, configuring the brake and clutch inverted with throttle non inverted results in a rj9 lead which is too short and you can't easily buy a cable. An old retro handset cable with an rj45 coupler does the trick though. Hope this feedback is useful.
Exact same experience here, except instead of a rubber sleeve on the clutch I just tweaked the setup on it just so. I also did have to get a new load 1kg load cell for it at one point, and HE support staff was amazing through the process. Not a perfect product but I still couldn't ask for more given the price they're charging.
I'm also inverted, the throttle R9 gets plugged into the clutch side and clutch wire into the throttle side of the brake mounted PCB. Obviously this shows up in Smart control as arse about face so the clutch animation moves when I depress the throttle etc, but is no biggie as in game they are bound correctly.
I had the MPPC Pedals, ProSim Pedals, T3PA, Logitech with perfect brake, CSL elites, TLCM, HE Ultimates (not the plus version) before these and this is what I run for more than a year now in my rig. This is bold statement but I can easily say, THIS IS THE PEDALS YOU NEED PERIOD.
@@jamalghandour8650 Can you share your experiences with these pedals comparing to the CSL load cell and TLCM? For the CSL load cell I'm using the max setting (60kg as advertised) and for the TLCM I'm using all the spacers provided with the red and black spring combination in it (100% Brake force in the software). The only concern I'm having is that I'll max out the 65kg brake force.
@@X13offical The CSL we are talking about is the old version? I have both the old and new, I'm impressed with the brake pedal on the new model (stiff). Both are better overall experience from the TLCM's the only drawback I can think of is with the old CSL elites the pedal is made out of metal rubbing on a plastic gear for the pots this issue is solved with the new version having haul sensors. Some people might like the TLCM's at the hardest setting but still there is a considerable travel on them compared to the CSL's. Overall from the 3 if I had to pick a winner it would be the new CSL for sure.
Been using these for a year now and these are great, they're a well made set of pedals with enough adjustment to suit pretty much any application and the smart control software is great too. Ive been running the biggest rubber on the brake with maximum pre load on the spring with 65kg force and find that works well for me. Went from logitech g920 to csl lc pedals which werent too bad before getting these and was amazed how much better these were again and how much more consistent my driving became with the sprints. Only a couple of minor issues in a year and each time their customer support responds quickly with a diy fix. They seem to be made that well that if theres any issues they are minor and possibly just how the are configured sometimes but HE have been able to diagnose the problem each time with a quick fix which is great imo as no one wants to pack their gear up and post it off if it can be avoided.
I currently own the CSL LC pedals (but already ordered the sprints). I can imagine that you got more consistent. One big issue with the CSL LC brake pedal is that the load cell is located in the neck of the pedal between the plate and the point where the elastomer stack is attached to it. This means that putting your foot a bit higher on the pedal makes a much larger difference in measured brake force as it does on other LC pedals. So beside muscle memory you also need a good "position memory". Fanatec seems to be aware of that as they changed the design on the CL LC v2 pedals! But too late for me :-)
I upgraded to the Sprints from the Thrusmasters TLM-C 9 months ago and I'm very happy with these pedals. No issues with noise or the elastomers. If you are on the fence, you wont regret getting these.
Just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of getting these pedals, and I'm blown away by both the depth of this video and how easy it is to understand. This is fantastic stuff!
I've had a set of Sprints for about a year or so, absolute game changer to quote one of your sayings. Changed from Fanatec V2 to the Sprints. Immediate and measurable improvement in stage times in Dirt Rally, also an immediate improvement in frequency of crashes, the level of control with these is off the charts compared to all pedals I have had in the past, from cheapo DFGT plastic pedals, G27s, Fanatec V2. Apart from the DFGT I have always mounted my pedals inverted, the G27s were stripped out of their plastic casing and mounted on my own manufactured rig, the V2's came next and were disassembled and rebuilt fully inverted mounted on a modification to my rig, and finally the Sprints were mounted the same. I found max braking load was 35kg in the Smart Control but this still feels quite a solid push and feels identical to the feel of the proper Ford 909 Group A bias pedal box I had in my Sierra Cosworth Rally car. Can't see me ever needing to upgrade these they do exactly what I need them to do. Cheers for the review Will, basically watched it for your thoughts on them.
12:55 Not new, all Sprints from initial release have the holes to adjust angle. What’s new is it appears they have extended that by what looks like two extra holes maybe for a bit further of an angle if you need it.
I don't think i've ever seen other sim racing channel that goes in that much detail when doing a review, i'd even go as far as saying I've never seen any type of channel doing such a long, detailed and over all excelent review. Cheers guys! Amazing content!
Will, a very detailed and informative review as we’ve come to expect from Boosted Media. I love my Sprints and see absolutely no reason to ever want to upgrade.
Great vid and really like format of having you both comment at the end and that discussion. Well done! If anyone is on the fence about moving to the HE Sprints go for it. It will be one of the best upgrades to your sim setup for sure. Do need a rig to mount them to. Have run 2 plus years no break downs and just faster laps.
I do have these (non-Redline) for quite a while and have to say they are great pedals. Totally agree with everything you mentioned. One of my friends purchased the Fanatec V3 pretty much at the same time i got my HE Sprint pedals. His main reason was that he, unlike me, does not have a dedicated Simrig and he would have had to purchase the baseplate in addition to the pedals itself, increasing the price for the 3 pedal set even more compared to the V3. After trying out my HE Sprints he instantly regret he didn´t spend the extra ~260€. Can only recommend these pedals, although i´m staring at the Ultimate+ pedals. I´m just not sure if these are that much of an upgrade to the Sprints so it would justify the 1300€ to upgrade my pedals...
Ive had my sprints for over 2 years now and still love them. I have had to apply WD40 to the brakes on one occasion and they have been silent ever since.
Actual WD-40 or one of their lubricating products? WD-40 itself is NOT a lubricant, in fact it will dry out your rubbers/elastomers and may cause them to prematurely fail depending on what materials they are made from. The WD part of WD-40 stands for Water Displacement and it does pretty much that and that only.
@@TheUkrapster WD-40 Silicon is Lubricant, and a good quality one at that, and looking at the picture in the manual that Will displayed, It is the Silicon variant that is in the manual ( Blue/Yellow can as opposed to the all Blue WD-40 original ) I hope this clears this option up and gives other people knowledge that WD-40 do TWO directly different products for two different sets of applications, I use WD-40 silicon spray lube on door rubbers to stop them freezing in the winter here in the UK, and in the door locking mechanisms for the same reason. the original WD-40 is still one of the best release agents and moisture displacer on the market, unless you want to pay for a DUCK OIL based moisture barrier.
I've gone from logitech G25 pedals, to doing the pedal mod (the eraser and springs thing back then)to inverting them in my rig, to upgrading to these sprints. Well, the non-team-redline one's... and i absolutely LOVE them. I am however guilty of putting them in the weakest position, but that's due to my irl work, where i stomp on the gas and brakes all day so much that my back already hurts. If these pedals start creaking, tighten up the bolts again, if that doesn't work, use dry grease to lubricate them as per manual.. I've used them A LOT and they are performing wonderfully. Many MANY hours of simracing and trucksimming with these pleasures under my feet. Well done Heusinkveld!
Agree with you on the red spring on the brake feeling sloppy on a harder setup. I ended up adding a spacer and removed the spring and it feels much better.
JUUST ordered these. I had the delight to experience the Sprints an Ultimates. I feel like the sprints offer me what I desire, whilst also being well an awesome set of pedals.
Really good review. As a former user of the Fanatec CSP v3, i tried the HE Sprint pedals at the SimracingExpo in 2018 and instantly felt in love with these pedals.😍 Right in the moment these pedals became available i ordered a set. In the first months of usage i had a loadcell failure, but this was only an issue with the first batch of the Sprint pedals. But the Heusinkveld support is phenomenal and i had a completely new brake pedal in my hands within a few days.👍 Now ... over 3 years later: Yes, newer revisions of the Sprint pedals are more refined, but my "first-batch-Sprints" still work great and i never regret the switch from the CSP v3.
I'm convinced :) Just ordered a 2 pedal set from Brett at HRS, as I'm a left foot breaker that uses auto clutch. These will be a nice step up from my Fanatec V3 pedals. I also, like Tom, like to spread the throttle and brake to suit me, which I have not done with the V3 as it is a lot of work. Thanks for another excellent review.
Stupidly bricked the firmware on my ancient CSR elites late night trying to fix an issue so finally took the plunge on these , excited to say the least! Great review it’s reassured me I made the right decision !
I'm going to have to buy a set of these just to spare my knees and back the struggle of making brake adjustments on the Fanatec V3s. I've bought a new BPK (I think my elastomers have gone bad as the pedal is now "squishy"/too easy to press 100%) and I have put off actually installing it for MONTHS as I dread the pain in my knees and back pulling the V3s out of the rig and putting them back in. Even if the HE pedals weren't any better performance-wise, this easy change ability would be worth it.
I brought these pedals about 7 weeks ago and love them, especially coming from g923 pedals. I have my brake the same and it seems very consistent. Great review as per normal Will and Tom.
I just switched today! Same thing g923-sprints. Did you find it strange at all to begin with with the brake being so much harder to press? I kept it at linear
The regular Sprints were on sale in the US at Micro Center, $563 with tax for the 3 pedals and heel plate. Took me longer to drive down (partially due to icy roads, MN winter) than to decide to buy. Haven't used them yet, gotta wait for the new chassis and wheel, but the unboxing and assembly was a show of the quality, these pedals and base are heavy, seriously makes the Logitech's look like a child's toy. Just based on that initial, I see why so many people suggest them. Great review! Now where is that chassis I ordered...
HE Sprints are pretty much the safest "Pro" pedal set you can pick. Available just about everywhere, not expensive and great build/software. Cant go wrong. I went with the VRS DFP pedals and have zero regrets, would be keen to see you guys get a set of them, they're just so damn hard to get a hold of. Pretty much line ball on price with the HE Sprints.
Regarding the extra spacer. Mine came that way as well (3 weeks old) and I asked HE, they recommended keeping it as is. So my thought is to have an extra spacer than what’s shown on the diagram in the manual.
Made some rapid upgrades in 2020 to my pedals going from G29's to Fanatec CS v3's, then attempting to support local with the Simworx GT v3 here in Australia before side grading to the standard version of these Sprints, and they've been flawless after nearly 2 years of racing, with easy initial hardware tweaks and the ease of use with SmartControl to make custom clutch maps to match my most driven cars As much as there are good options that compete and have come out recently, I don't have any compelling reason to consider a switch any time soon, though the HRS pedal faces are definitely on my mind for the looks and to save my poor sock feet from the edges of the pedal faces in the rare moments of heel+toe I do 😅
I added a bolt under the center at the back of the base plate the tightens down to my rig to add rigidity to that area of the base plate as that's where the most force is applied as that's where the break is and the least support exists in the base plate there, whereas the throttle and clutch pedals see less pedal force applied and are on top to the mounting rails underneath and get the most rigid support from the design of the base plate, obviously any tiny bit of movement you can remove the more the pedals will preform ultimately
Thanks for the review. I've been eye-balling these (redline or no) for a couple of months now, and I will definately be ordering a set over the next few weeks. 👍
I have a set of Sprint pedals and I accidently stepped on the USB connector on the rear of the pedal. The connector broke but it still functioned properly. I purchased a replacement part from Heusinkveld anyway and it was relatively easy to replace the broken part.
Seeing a number of near new Fanatec CS V3 pedals for sale cpl yrs ago, I enquired and found more than 1 owner was moving to HE Sprints - told me all I needed to know, while $1033AUD for set of pedals sound ludicrous even my wife agreed no point settling at $600 if you're not going to be satisifed - purchased Aug '20 and they are silent & smooth today. Only minor issue is the plastic white bush that centres the throttle rod (inside the spring) in the back keeps coming loose - but doesn't affect use.
Great review! I just ordered the 3-piece Sprint set today. I wanted so bad to order the Asetek Invitica pedals to go with the Invitica wheelbase that I also just ordered, but my wife and I both love driving with socks on, and unfortunately way too many people say that driving with the Invitica's with socks is painful on the feet. After you review, I'm confident with getting the Sprints. Hey, your co-host on the right looks a little like Tom Brady from t he NFL. :)
Didn't think there would be a product that I would review before Boosted Media haha, great review though, its an awesome set of pedals and that pop of red just adds to it
Thanks for your honest review. I was specially curious about the initial spring and the rubber deflection, great job for pointing those out in detail. Any plans to review the virtual racing school pedals sometime?
Could well be the case. I’ll follow up anyway. I kind of stopped the ball on it after we had the flood back in December. Then we had so many pedal reviews booked in I couldn’t fit it in anyway. Hopefully we can organise it for later in the year. :)
I have had a set start to squeak after some use. But using some dry film lube in the recommended locations from heusinkveld solved any noise. I also had a set for a client squeak new out the box, but for a more enthusiast product I do not mind needing to tube them up a bit.
I do alot of heel and toe stick shift driving. The throttle and pedal face were a bit too sharp when roling between brake and gas (even wearing racing shoes). To resolve this, I fitted an OMP OA1020 pedalface set onto the Sprints (dremel required)
28:49 I think you have your understanding of how clutch's work backward or you just misspoke, because you don't engage the clutch plate to the flywheel by pressing the clutch pedal, your actually disconnecting it from the flywheel. The clutch plate is engaged to the flywheel when you releasing the pedal, the pressure plate will then push clutch plate against the flywheel and that is when it becomes mechanically connected to the engine.
The coating is conformal coating common on pcbas that will be exposed to moisture to prevent corrosion of the components connection to the board. Costs pennies to apply, but many drop that for cost reduction. Almost lost my job once after insisting on keeping the coating in a paintball loader pcba.
I was considering getting the clubsport V3 and then later on upgrading to something like this but now you’ve got me thinking. Your description of the brake pedal feel makes it sound like exactly what I’m after so maybe I should go all out and then not have to upgrade in future 🤔 I do have some overtime coming up, so maybe I can justify it to myself by using that money 😆
I certainly wouldn’t encourage anyone to spend beyond their means, especially for playing computer games. But cutting out the baby steps might save you some money if this is where you’ll ultimately end up anyway.
@@boostedmedia after much consideration, I ended up ordering some on sale at 10% off. Postage to Australia is a killer though. I look forward to no longer being able to blame my tools 😆
Great review, these pedals are kind off the benchmark, however, they may be the quietest pedals they reviewed, but the SRP-pedals (also reviewed) are pretty much silent too.
I like the look of the torx screw but would have to have another screwdriver and/or bit to adjust that should have went with an Allen key but gorgeous pedals either way
We had planned it about a year ago but they’d went dark and I haven’t had time to follow up. We are booked out for pedal reviews for a few months now but I will follow up.
I wonder where did Will get his pricing from. Because if I (from Slovenia with 22% VAT) check the prices of the Sprints, 3 pedal set is 705€ and heel rest is another 90. So the set is actually priced at 800€ and not the 650 mentioned in the video. Only if the prices are VAT-free, but that makes sense only for the viewers in the US. Because for the most of EU we have the same VAT for the entire country and it is usually somewhere between 19 and 25 per cent. And the pricing for the BJs is VAT included. Which is a bit weird. Love the videos and how thorough the reviews are otherwise, but thought I would point out a bit of a discrepancy in the consistency.
We can’t cover pricing for every single country and their taxes. We compared like for like based on the pricing the website shows us here in Australia.
@@boostedmedia With that I completely agree, and don't expect you to do so. But with the quality standard you guys have set with your in-depth and very technically correct reviews, I expected to see more attention to the price and if the tax is included or not. Just for the fair price comparison between the products mentioned in the video. Based on the pricing I have seen on Digital Motorsports it is 700€ for Europe, and 961 CAD (700€) for Canada where it says VAT included next to the price, 680 USD (640€) for USA and 860AUD (570€) for AUS and 523 GBP (620€) for UK/GB, but next to the price there is no indication that VAT is included or excluded. But when I checked the pricing in one of the Australian stores, HRSIMS, the indicated price for 3 pedals is 1050 AUD (705€). And from what I was able to find on the HE website when comparing pricing for each country 577.69€ is their base price w/o VAT. And for all of the EU countries, it adds the appropriate amount of VAT which makes them 690-720€ set of pedals. For the rest there is no VAT since it is applied in the destination country by the customs. In the last section of the review it sounded almost like you are comparing them with BJs which are 550€ w/ VAT as direct price competitors but the sprints are 577.69 w/o VAT. Or 780€ with the base plate and VAT. So it is not only 100€ difference like you mentioned but more like 230€. Sorry, but you guys have usually a really superb standard for your reviews, and this price discrepancy caught my eye, because it seemed strange to see the price of Sprints almost 150€ less than what it usually is, since it was in euros I expected the standard EU price with (German) VAT.
@@nejcmirtic529 I got my sprints for the same price as I could get the BJ pedals. I also got the sprints shipped from overseas for less than I could get them locally from a reseller. Taxes, shipping costs and the exchange rate at the time of purchase are all variables. Plus occasional sales will also affect value comparisons between products. As with any reviews, you have to apply your local pricing to get a proper value comparison. For example, a lot of reviews compare these with the Asetek forte, but for my local pricing, currently the Asetek is significantly more expensive.
@@pieflies If I may ask for what price did you get them? And did you get 3 pedals or 2 pedals? It just seems ridiculous that one could get sprints sent overseas with all import taxes cheaper than they can be obtained locally. BJ and HE are to my knowledge European companies. And here both with VAT are 500€ for BJ Steel GT (Mechanical) and 700€ for HE Sprints both w/o the base mounting plate.
What a great in depth review Hello, I had a question about brake pedal. I have Heusinkveld Sprints. Upgrade from my previous pedals. What a huge difference. The Sprints by default elastomer is 28mm Soft. So, If I have to press real hard to get the car to stop. Do I need to go softer?
I own the Sprints right now and thinking about switching to Asatek Forte or Invicta (pre-ordered for pre-order price). Do you think it's worth to switch.
I skipped these and went to Simtrecs Pro pedals, and do wonder if they are worth the increase in price because one thing I found is while there is a huge jump from logitech to Fanatec V3s, there is not nearly as much of a jump from V3s to Simtrecs. I am very happy with my Simtrecs but they cost a small fortune shipped to USA
I have the sim pedals ultimate version and wonder when the new hardware sim ultimate upgrade Kit is out still out of stock, pff goed stuff to the Heusinkveld Sprint
Hi Will, awesome review, thanks! I bought my Sprint pedals end of last year (they are still quite new) and I absolutely love them, but now I'm intrigued - besides the new look and higher price, what is the difference/improvements compared with the standard version?
Awesome review, is a highlighter for a update from the fanatic V3. How do you know when you overload a load cell? Any falls input from the pedals after releasing them from a hard breaking zone? Have that on my V3 that there's an extra input without touching the brake at the moment you steer in to the corner. Waiting for the review on the final Asetek pedals
Good video I needed this as looking at upgrading from fanatec v3s. Does anybody know if the changes in the software are saved into the pedals or if the software needs to be running? I'm playing GT7 a lot recently and want to try and use these with drive hub but if my settings require the software running I don't think it'll be possible. I know the fanatec stuff savings the settings in the wheel base so you can make changes on pc and it carrys over to console.
I am not sure, if anybody will read this, but I guess, its worth mentioning, that the prices for both versions increased by about 100€ since the release of your video. Probably an adaption to inflation.
When setting the preload before you move the slider up to the top to make the pedal stiffer do you set the preload first or after you slide it up to the top?
I can advise you that the software has the same adjustments. I would say it's down to if you value feel of the hydraulic cylinder on the brake Vs elastomers only. The clutch point imitation on P2000 is not realistic so this clutch likely feels better. The accelerator on the P2000 has a nice adjustable damper that makes it feel great but doesn't spring back really fast if you like that. So sw the same clutch to Heus, accelerator to P2000 and brake is up to your preference
It's a shame Will won't review the P2000 pedals. I'm sure someone out there would be willing to send him some. I've owned mine for about six months now. My favourite purchase to my rig so far.
@@ACCLongy01 Can you share you experience abit more? any issues? ive read abit online that the load adjustment on the throttle becomes soft despite being set to higher load setting (6-7) after awhile
That’s funny I actually do prefer to have a lot of travel in my Brake pedal I have this setup and am using springs for my brake to help get more travel then lowered my loadcell down to about 65kg for my personal style and liking.
Hi Will, Great review, as always 😊. Please help me out with your opinion, if you could get this 2 products which would you chose: - Asetek Forte (2 pedal set) for 450€ - Heusinkveld Sprint (2 pedal set, no baseplate) for 495€ Thank you mate.
FYI with the drivehub these pedals can be used on both consoles as many other brands collective minds cover just thought your viewers would like to know
Hello, I’m on the hard elastomers kind of confused on how much preload to add. I currently have preload pretty high. Pedal is very hard to push What are the pros and cons of more or less preload? What would you recommend?
Great review! I also saw the review of the SRP GT pedals and was immediately in love with the look. And I am still in doubt between the sprint and the SRP GT pedals. Wishing you would compare the two in the last segment of the video, but you didn’t. So here is me asking. Any preference between those 2? Would really like to hear your opinion
Heusinkveld support is awesome but it's got a faulty design. The face plate has only one screw and it keeps on getting loose while doing heeltoe. Extremely frustrating!
I have tlcm and ts-ws should I get these pedals or get a CSL dd. I would think the pedals is the better upgrade for now but I'm open to suggestions on what I should upgrade now.
Hi Will, are you able to mount your pedal cam to your rig? Would be nice to see any real world flex which you can’t see due to the motion rig. Otherwise… great review! It’s definitely helped me make my decision on a new pedal set.
Great review as always Will. Ive currently got a set of Fanatec V'3s, considering upgrading to HE Sprints or Ultimate+. Im an intermediate racer on iracing, mainly drive the v8 supercar or nascars, then sometimes gt3 or formula but wondering if you'd have a preferred choice for my situation? Generally i dont tweak too much either, more set & forget
@Troy Davidson, I have both (silly story, don’t ask). U+ set has very little (FOR ME) over the Sprints to the point I’m trying to get rid of the U+ set. The only slight improvement I see is in the clutch pedal. I strongly suggest the Sprint pedals.
@@ihsangin5816 awesome thanks for your feedback. Im real keen on the sprints, i just didnt want to be left wondering if the ultimate's would be marginally better. From most reviews i think the sprints will suit perfectly
Do they give the plate for mounting the pedals with it or do u have to get separately Also how would u know where the bite point is in the game confused by that still.
Regarding our noted discrepency in the manual related to the elastomer stack configuration, Heusinkveld have gotten back to us with the following:
"It is an mistake in the product manual, which we will correct as soon as possible.
Just purchased through your link buddy :)
Goodbye V3s, you served me well.
oh, my redline Sprints are getting a bit soft in the pedals and just looked and I have only 3 hard spacers .
"It is an mistake"?
It definitely are! 👀
God damn. Compared to Fanatec CS I might have to deal with, this is unbelievable
I remember that one! We decided we weren't going to get it wrong a 2nd time 😀
@@RemcoHitman Lol u definitely got it right the 2nd time. Keep up the good work! Thanks again :)

Mistakes happen even in the best costumer services.
Im thinking about upgrading to heusinkveld sprint from g29 pedals.
What did you mount yours on? Do you have a cockpit? Wheel stand?
Exactly my path and probably time. January '14 I got my G27, in like June '16 I modded them, removed from the case, custom wood pedal box, inverted, and the gteye brake spring, then swapping the rest out in line. Picked up the new pedals yesterday locally on sale, then ordered the rest of my rig online... wish I would have 2 weeks ago since I have all this week off of work... oh well.
No offense….but you went from a childrens toy to a serious sim pedal kit. It should be night and day better.
Thanks for the feedback. I just ordered mine :)
Excellent real world feedback! 🙏 thanks!
That’s a whole lot of comparison! Thanks for sharing!!
why would you rate these over the ultimates?
not enough bang for your buck?
@@KorruptorK the ultimate (non plus version) was a Diview set. Even if its accurate and all, 2 of the polystyrene blew up.
What springs and pre load settings are you using previously with the Thrustmaster pedals?
@@X13offical I don't recall the preload settings, but I was using both red F30 springs for maximum resistance.
How did you mount inverted?
@@atlsoldier27 it would be easier to show you pictures unfortunately not possible here. I'm an engineer fabricator and built my own rigs.
@@trevorjlewis that’s awesome man. Wish I could give it a look to get an idea on what to build for myself.
Great honest review guys. I've luckily owned a few pedals including V3's, and these are the pedals I would recommend for most people
12:55 Not new, all Sprints from initial release have the holes to adjust angle.

@@boostedmedia I have checked out other reviews (wheels, wheel base, pedals etc) but I feel yours are better (my opinion).

I literally just bought a set of these pedals and they are amazing 👏
My HE Sprint Redline just arrived now. ❤️
@@TheUkrapster I used wd40 ptfe as per the manual.
Great Video as usual. I'm been on the fence about the Heusinkveld Sprint Pedals. Your video help me make up my mind. Thank You!
We have been waiting for this, thank you so much for the review!
But the Heusinkveld support is phenomenal and i had a completely new brake pedal in my hands within a few days.👍
Now ... over 3 years later: Yes, newer revisions of the Sprint pedals are more refined, but my "first-batch-Sprints" still work great and i never regret the switch from the CSP v3.
Good stuff mate, always love seeing your reviews
I'm convinced :)
Just ordered a 2 pedal set from Brett at HRS, as I'm a left foot breaker that uses auto clutch.
Unrelated to the review, but I always love the drum and bass soundtrack to go along with these videos. It's one of my fav genres. :)
Made some rapid upgrades in 2020 to my pedals going from G29's to Fanatec CS v3's, then attempting to support local with the Simworx GT v3 here in Australia before side grading to the standard version of these Sprints, and they've been flawless after nearly 2 years of racing, with easy initial hardware tweaks and the ease of use with SmartControl to make custom clutch maps to match my most driven cars
As much as there are good options that compete and have come out recently, I don't have any compelling reason to consider a switch any time soon, though the HRS pedal faces are definitely on my mind for the looks and to save my poor sock feet from the edges of the pedal faces in the rare moments of heel+toe I do 😅
Bonds socks..... bloody legend 👍
my set of sprints turned up today, can't wait to get em set up and going this weekend
Thanks, man! you do the best reviews, my purchase is based on your opinions of sim equipment.
I love my sprints and with hrs foot plates they feel amazing
I have a set of Sprint pedals and I accidently stepped on the USB connector on the rear of the pedal. The connector broke but it still functioned properly. I purchased a replacement part from Heusinkveld anyway and it was relatively easy to replace the broken part.
I was afraid of that issue so I bought a new 90 degree angle USB cable , this way the plug doesn't stick out.

I need to get back in touch with VRS. We had planned on doing a review almost a year ago but they went dark and I’ve been too busy to follow up.
Could well be the case. I’ll follow up anyway. I kind of stopped the ball on it after we had the flood back in December. Then we had so many pedal reviews booked in I couldn’t fit it in anyway. Hopefully we can organise it for later in the year. :)
Definitely worth following up, I went from Sprints to VRS and love them, great quality pedals, just a shame it takes so long to get them.

@chadsmith6955 I love them! Once you get the right spring combo in the brake that feels right to you can't go wrong with them.
I must have got my words jumbled up. We don’t drive around with our foot to the floor o. The clutch. 😂 good catch.
The coating is conformal coating common on pcbas that will be exposed to moisture to prevent corrosion of the components connection to the board. Costs pennies to apply, but many drop that for cost reduction. Almost lost my job once after insisting on keeping the coating in a paintball loader pcba.
I added grip tape to the heel plate as it was too smooth ands the added grip gave much desired traction and control
My 2014 fanatec csl pedals match what he ended up doing with the sprints
I was considering getting the clubsport V3 and then later on upgrading to something like this but now you’ve got me thinking.
Your description of the brake pedal feel makes it sound like exactly what I’m after so maybe I should go all out and then not have to upgrade in future 🤔
I do have some overtime coming up, so maybe I can justify it to myself by using that money 😆

This was covered at the start of the video.
Awesome detailed review, that sweet spot is so sad since they are not available in South Africa
@@designamk1160 Demon Tweeks? Do they also tripple the price ?
@@designamk1160 Companies that sell such premium products over here in SA, charge such prices, I’ll have a look at the links in description, thanks
Would love to if you ranked all the pedals best to last. Thanks
Calibration is flashed to the pedals. This is discussed extensively in the review.
@@boostedmedia 👍cheers
i have fanatec v3 pedals.. should i buy these heusinkveld sprints, ultamite + or simlab xp1's?
I am not sure, if anybody will read this, but I guess, its worth mentioning, that the prices for both versions increased by about 100€ since the release of your video. Probably an adaption to inflation.
Yeah, I'm so sad I couldn't get them at the previous price :/
@@ivelinemanoilov2147 yeah me too.. would have bought them right away, if I had known about the rise in price
Did someone explain some of the differences between something like the BJ's and the mosa CRP pedals?
When setting the preload before you move the slider up to the top to make the pedal stiffer do you set the preload first or after you slide it up to the top?
Can you do a review of the Simagic P2000 next? Im conflicted between getting the P2000 or the sprints. Thanks!
Sorry. We don’t deal with Simagic after past experiences.
@@boostedmedia Oh that's too bad but perfectly understandable i love your high quality format. Have a great day!
Happy new year. Between Ultimate and Sprint which one will you use/recommend?
That’s funny I actually do prefer to have a lot of travel in my Brake pedal I have this setup and am using springs for my brake to help get more travel then lowered my loadcell down to about 65kg for my personal style and liking.
Hi Will,
Great review, as always 😊.
Please help me out with your opinion, if you could get this 2 products which would you chose:
- Asetek Forte (2 pedal set) for 450€
- Heusinkveld Sprint (2 pedal set, no baseplate) for 495€
Thank you mate.
I personally prefer the asetek pedals but the sprints have more adjustment available so it comes down to what will suit you best. They’re both great
@@boostedmedia Thank you mate. You really helped me out. I like Asetek looks and like future upgrade option to hydraulic.
What would you recommend?
was getting the BJ pedals after seeing your reviews but seeing your comment about the rubbers blowing out in them I think not
Top prod value champions! Any update for 2023's best pedals over these for the price?
Great review! I also saw the review of the SRP GT pedals and was immediately in love with the look. And I am still in doubt between the sprint and the SRP GT pedals. Wishing you would compare the two in the last segment of the video, but you didn’t. So here is me asking. Any preference between those 2? Would really like to hear your opinion
Definitely go Sprints
In what way do they actually feel better to operate in comparison to the fanatec v3?
Could anyone tell me the diameter of the brake rod? or the inner diameter of the rubber?
It would come down to how heavy footed you are I’d imagine.
@@boostedmedia no worries, thanks mate
@Troy Davidson,
I have both (silly story, don’t ask).
Its an additional charge but not very expensive. You can get a piece of 1/8 aluminum and make your own plate
these pedals can be connected straight to the gt dd pro and compatible with ps5?
No
@@boostedmedia thx bro. fanatec need a podium pedalsss fast !!! XD
Drivehub make these pedals work with ps5 and series x
