Great review. There are two mods IMO that are MANDATORY if you buy this version of the pedals. Mine had a lot of friction and weren't as smooth as I was hoping they would be. Here are two fixes that create a night and day difference. 1. Remove the damper and sand down for 10-20 seconds with a light grit on the black plastic washers that mount the damper to the front of the pedal. these don't have great tolerances so making sure this isn't over tight and can move freely is key. if there is extra play just add some preload to the damper by pushing on the back of the damper and tightening it in place already activated. 2. This is THE single most important mod you can do take the two bolts out that hold the pedal to the base where the bearings are, pull this up and there will be a washer on the outside of the arm and bearing, but between that and the base. REMOVE all of these, two per pedal, on all pedals. This Removes ALL FRICTION this is a night and day change and will completely change the pedal feel.
I'm planning on picking these up to try and compare. Are you talking about the washers next to the bearing seen around 0:52 ... looks like it's a bearing insert and then there are washers sandwiched between the bearing and side plate. If so I can see why you say it will smoothen it if you remove the friction, my question is that isn't that washer keeping the pedal from moving left/right or laterally? I read another review on Reddit recently... .kinda make it sound like best option is to take the pedals apart, fix the tolerances, grease things up and then reassemble to really make them work. Before I do that, would you agree?
^These are the suggestions Ghost Sim Racing made in the Slim jack group, but then later said the washer mod in(2) is not the solution and you need a custom washer that only touches the inner race
@@TheCostprice It depends on what you are looking for, in his case he wants to sell a product of higher quality than the stock UT pedals so adding play or sloppy tolerances is against his philosophy in a sense. And yes Taylor is awesome in sharing qc issues and fixes on SimJack pedals and these both came from him. However it’s really not an issue in the video he shows how the whole pedal arm can go side to side, well you don’t use it like that, you use it with the guide rods and dampers attached, with these attached it prevents the pedals from being able to slide from side to side, both benefiting from the reduction in friction and when using with the damper as well it really adds almost no side to side play. It’s insanely easy to try just take the washers out and put them back in if you don’t like it. But I bet you don’t put them back in. Yes ideally a small shim or washer that doesn’t contact both pivot points would be ideal, but for me this was good enough and got the pedals feeling basically as smooth and good as some HE pedals I tried at microcenter. I still think I want to add some ptfe lube at a couple points, but the way I have them setup I am extremely happy and the value is unmatched.
Well, i wasn't even on the market for new pedals, but i saw this review, and after feeling my Fanatec CSL have been slowing me down, i pulled the trigger!! I'm excited to try them out!
Bruh, I buy the Simsonns because you claimed they were the best budgets, and 2 weeks later it switches to the Simjacks 😂 I'm happy with them so far though
That is the nature of the sim rig parts game. So many improvements to products that used to be out of most normal customers price range reach. We are so spoiled with pedals (and DD wheel bases) choices now it is great! Covid helped to spur competition, with everyone needing to play at home (including race car drivers) for 2+ years globally.
@@drconflict629 lol same, both companies better be paying this guy 😂. The simsonn are great though, and there's a bunch of Reddit comments saying they're better too
Simjack should release the box by itself so we can use this with the older pedals. Or at the very least sell the brake on it's own, since that seems to be the most useful upgrade over the last version. Thanks for sharing
Great review. I am using the SIMDT pedal set with the throttle pedal from this set using the SIMDT's spring and buffer in my rig. I love this full length throttle pedal and their use of ball bearings, but preferred the SIMDT design of the break and clutch.
Just received mine today. Only had about 20 mins of testing so far. First thing I did after 2 laps was remove the damper from the throttle pedal. Felt very unnatural to me with damping, mostly when you release the throttle fast and it comes away from your foot felt horrible. Next thing I'm dealing with is adjusting to load cell coming from t3pa pedals with the squash ball mod. The preload spring takes too much pressure to overcome in my opinion. I don't want to use 60kg of braking pressure and if i set the brake pressure to wear I want I barely go past the preload spring. I will try tightening it later and see how that goes.
There was a little free play in the dampers giving an initial clicking sensation. Solved this by loosing the bolts and applying a bit of preload onto them by pushing on them and then tightening the bolts back up. Much nicer. The less preload on the brake spring feels nicer to me for now. I want trail braking to be just in that springy spot so the smaller that zone is the more accurate i feel it is. Still 2 seconds off my t3pa best laps though 😂
Good review but one point that is interesting. Just like the other buyer who posted about 2 weeks ago, my brake is very misaligned with the load cell and spring base twisted well off to the right. I need to get pictures for inclusion with my review on the Ali site. I expect I can fix it by loosening all the mounting fasteners, aligning it all square and then tightening appropriately. Not the end of the world, but less than ideal to send out parts so terribly misaligned. And I am certain this was not shipping related damage because the box arrived in perfect condition. Couple with the proper packing foam setup, this had to be done in final assembly. Hope they recognize the issue and correct it for future buyers.
Great detailed review as always. I'm torn between these and the Simsonn pro's? I've currently got the Asetek La Prima pedals but I just can't get on with them. I like that you can get the Simsonn's in black as that will go with my rig much better but obviously performance is more important. What one's would you recommend after testing both?
I got these on sale with all tax delivered for 126 to uk without dampers took 8 days to deliver just installed yesterday they are amazing came setup out box just had to calibrate them.
hello and great review!!!! i need to buy my new pedal set... which one do you recommend? simjack ut or cammus lc 100? I can't choose which one is the best
Thanks for the review. I bought the UT's and overall they're very nice. I was disappointed with the Throttle spring, which felt extremely flimsy. I also noticed some creaking going on with the throttle, which I couldn't really pinpoint. I ended up selling them. I was looking at the Simsonn pedals, and the thottle black spring looks a bit stronger. Has that been your observation? It seems the Simsonn's can have some EMI issues, especially if you have a Fanatec base though. I was also look at the Sim Ruito's. Wondered if you had ever tried those? the three sets look very similar of course.
The coil spring alone isn't up to much by itself on the SimJack throttle. But if you have it with the gas spring installed, then that provides plenty of tension. The spring on the Simpson throttle is stronger, but I'd still recommend the gas spring to go with it. I haven't used the Sim Ruito pedals, but certainly, there isn't much difference between all them, and mostly comes down to the composition of the brake spring set up.
Great video! Just a couple questions, would you recommend these over the Moza CR-P's if I can get them for roughly the same price? Also I currently have a NLR wheel stand 2.0, would you suggest getting the pedal plate to prevent flexing in pedal mounting area if I do end up going with these? Thank you!
@@lbzboum Yes, huge difference between Logitech pedals and these. They are stiff so you have to relearn how to brake and use gas. With Logitech pedals you can just bend at your ankles to use the pedals. These you need to use your whole leg or else you'll have ankle pain. Trail braking is the biggest improvement. I haven't used them tons because once I got them, I said crap now I need a better wheel so I sold all my Logitech stuff and order a Moza DD.
I have the Simsonn and I honestly believe that the only thing they are better about is the pedal faces, which are more configurable by having more holes and allowing more positions. Otherwise, I don't see any difference.
Also the included software is a nice addition. These are just the most polished set so far with the least issues such as the unusably weak elastomers that come with some other sets
I Just bought the black Simsonns Pro and I am waiting for my new rig. I tried them on my old Playseat and they seem super stiff to me. I removed two of the three red elastomers to use the white one. I don't understand why should I want harder pedals instead of more modulable ones, could you guys help me understand this? Rookie SIM racer here of course
i´m still using my old sjp´s ^^ almost 1 year now. upgradet them with ballbearings & better elastomers and they still good nice they have own software now. does it work with old controlbox ? i´ll definetaly test this
Would you recommend those even if you have no rig ? I just want to buy a wheelstand like from next level racing and I don’t know if the brake is to stiff or hard ?
Yes, per his conclusion at 13:15, the comment about beating all the AliExpress options at this price point would include Simsonn (which he tested recently). Makes sense to me considering the improved brake elastomers here, bearing pivots, EMI free control box and such as things that apparently beat out the old SJ Pro but also the other clones.
I asked this on the other video and I appreciate the measurements of the pedal sizes, but I don't know this off the top of my head. With these measurements did it fit the pre-installed/pre-made mounting plate? I am asking since I'd have to get a pedal plate redrilled (my own) or make a mount for anything that is similar to heusinkveld. It's a cheap cost, in reality, but I'm trying to map out my steps on getting a pedal set upgrade. They look amazing and have been on my radar for a while, as are most things from Simjack at the moment. (edit for clarity: I ask this cause it seems you mounted it on your wooden pedal stand that you have used in other reviews of similar fully mechanical pedal sets. I don't recall how you drilled the spacing on those, so I'm just trying to get measurements for them so I can send it into my company that drills the holes, or if that info for drilling is available or similar to an other more "common" set of pedals. Sorry for the confusing and kinda dumb question).
He does have a wooden heel plate, but the pedals are mounted to extruded aluminum with angle connectors. See that foundation form his desk video shots, but also seen in the rig shots with them in use. Just check out the sections of the vid with close shots of the pedals in use like starts around 8:53. All that to say that he uses the wide adjustment options of the aluminum profiles along with those in the pedal frame, without specific mounting hole spacing. Considering that the pedals have included large amounts of fore-aft slot adjustment range, the key for any user is to determine their preferred lateral spacing between pedals. This will be highly individual (personal preference along with car sim considerations) and potentially rig specific.
This is the pedal deck I'm using th-cam.com/video/XSVD206EXGA/w-d-xo.html. To get the spacing plotted, you're best off getting the pedals first and laying them in place and marking the spots for the holes.
Unfortunately I received my Sim Jack Pro pedals a couple of weeks before the ut pedals came out. I have tried skateboard bushings, various spings and haven't been able to get a comfortable brake feel. What would your recommendation be for elastomers. Many thanks
Yes, per his conclusion at 13:15, the comment about beating all the AliExpress options at this price point would include Simsonn. Makes sense considering the improved brake elastomers here, bearing pivots, EMI free control box and such as things that apparently beat out the old SJ Pro but also the other clones.
My only question is how these compare to the simsonn new pro pedals, is there any difference in terms of performance or is it just difference in package( ex.features, add-ons)
Yeah, he just recently said the Simsonn Pro pedals are his favorite, now he's saying these are the best budget ones. They seem to be really comparable, but the Simsonns are available in black on Amazon. I'm wondering if the Simsonns have a similar clutch, these seem better than usual.
@@nickstarlingch The clutch between all these clones are essentially identical. They offer large adjustment range for spring leverage ratio which includes the regressive nature that mimics a bite point of a typical clutch.
You claim they're made of stainless steel. But it looks like zinc plated steel to me. At the price they sell for id doubt stainless steel. Can you confirm?
If i had to guess, probably just the stiffer elastomers included for those who want them. Most commonly ive heard with the simsonns that everyone runs the hardest elastomers straight away, since the others are far too soft. The simjack UTs seem to have better software, but then again SRC hasn’t reviewed the “new” simsonn pro, only the old ones and on simsonns page they advertise a new version for the software last i checked. My simsonns are coming in the next week or so, so i can let you know about the software then if you’d like
@@blakebevan1941I'd love to know too if simsonn's newer software version is up to par with simjack's. These two brands are too close in terms of quality. The software may be the difference maker.
@@blakebevan1941 he did review the new Simsonn Pro here: th-cam.com/video/ZPUvVQ_qq0g/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Oyt0gcOPmuPTut6K Under one of his other recent UT videos he commented that the only significant difference is the better elastomers supplied with the Simjack UT (as you said) though. From this video it also seems like the Simjack control box is better shielded so they are less prone to EMI.
@@danclark407 The other key difference is that the plate that holds the loadcell to the frame is 5mm in the UT, but 3mm in the Simsonn Pro/ SimJackpro. Some Simjack pro users who ran stiff setups would report bending this plate and damaging their elastomers after prolonged use. Not sure if this an issue with the Simsonn, I assume it must be to some extent. Overall the UT appears like a more durable pedal.
@@TheCostprice 6mm (not 5mm) but the point is correct. These UT's should entirely avoid the bending issue seen on the 3mm Pro models and likely other clones as well.
@@darylklotz7032 The hydraulic units are just pressurized gas springs that increase the resistance to pedal movement. It feels a bit different from a coil spring which is what some people like about them. They add a bit more pushback but plenty of people find they are not needed, so it's not a must have option from what I have read (and explains why I skipped them for my order).
How the hell would they "hide" it though? This sort of industrial design is something other companies do as well. Also, just use Freejoy instead of the crappy software these chinese companies provide.
no way these come out after i bought the simjack pros... im actually really unhappy with them cuz they have a lot of friction and make noises. This could fix it
I really don't understand why all these chinese companies keep insisting on making their own calibration software when much better open source solutions exist.
@@freebolt5913 Yeah I use Freejoy as well, works great and is much more advanced than whatever simsonn or simjack offer. It's a trend with chinese companies to offer crappy software.

This is the pedal deck I'm using th-cam.com/video/XSVD206EXGA/w-d-xo.html.
To get the spacing plotted, you're best off getting the pedals first and laying them in place and marking the spots for the holes.
How is the noise during operation?
Unfortunately I received my Sim Jack Pro pedals a couple of weeks before the ut pedals came out. I have tried skateboard bushings, various spings and haven't been able to get a comfortable brake feel. What would your recommendation be for elastomers.
Many thanks
I would recommend this th-cam.com/video/_-5lo4fFZXg/w-d-xo.html
Just ordered the new simagic haptics, will order these to go with them. Thank you for your help. Love the videos, very helpful and intuitive.
Many thanks for your help. All set up with the new elastomer pack from your recommendation and the new simagic neo haptics. Feels so much better.
@@cheekytrucker Great stuff!
Does the software allow multiple profiles?
Are these better than the simsonn´s' Thanks!
Yes, per his conclusion at 13:15, the comment about beating all the AliExpress options at this price point would include Simsonn. Makes sense considering the improved brake elastomers here, bearing pivots, EMI free control box and such as things that apparently beat out the old SJ Pro but also the other clones.
@@Chader9 Thanks! didnt have time to finish all the video.
Thx for review!
OK question:
How much better are These Pedals than simsonn
Stay tuned, I answer this in tomorrow's video!!!!! 👍
is it possible to remove that preload spring on the brake, essentially make the brake pedal instantly load up the elastomers
Yes
Looks like quite a bit of flex on that load cell
Well, that's how a load cell measures weight.
@@SimRacingCorner yeah but i mean the actual bracket its mounted to
@@mikri88 It's not as much as it appears. The close camera shot exaggerates it.
@@SimRacingCorner ah ok thanks
I don’t understand which one you purchase? There are like 10 different models?
It's not difficult, the picture you click on shows what's included with that version. Eg, 2 or 3 pedals, and how many spring dampers.
Not a claim, fact!
Even better than Simsonn? What is the major difference?
@@blakebevan1941 he did review the new Simsonn Pro here: th-cam.com/video/ZPUvVQ_qq0g/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Oyt0gcOPmuPTut6K
Under one of his other recent UT videos he commented that the only significant difference is the better elastomers supplied with the Simjack UT (as you said) though.
Wonder if they would sell these black omg :p
How come you didnt test hydralic sets aswell?
What is available in that same price range?
What are the h1 and h2 parts in the different sets listed on their webpage?
@darylklotz7032 those are for the hydraulic damper spring options. H1 = 1 hydro unit, H2 = 2 and H3 = 3.
@@Chader9Whats the difference between each one of those?
@@darylklotz7032 The hydraulic units are just pressurized gas springs that increase the resistance to pedal movement. It feels a bit different from a coil spring which is what some people like about them. They add a bit more pushback but plenty of people find they are not needed, so it's not a must have option from what I have read (and explains why I skipped them for my order).
Has anyone figured out a way to mount simagic p-hpr haptics to Simjack UT pedals? I can't find any 3d printed adapters online... :(
You can use the same ones that are made for the SimJack Pro pedals.
We have the clear winner here 😅
How to fix squeaky brakes?
Apply some Silicone or PTFE spray.
I got one using your link
They works on Assetto corsa competizione??
Yes
@@SimRacingCorner and works fine in combo with a Csl Dd 8nm? Or there is some interferences?
I cover this in the video. You should be fine.
The fact that they didn't even trying to hide their copy of Heusinkveld (incl their software) is worrisome. But i have to give it to them...
I use FreeJoy with the SimSonn pedals, even their v4 software is not all that great. Works but not well enough, for my liking.
@@freebolt5913 Yeah I use Freejoy as well, works great and is much more advanced than whatever simsonn or simjack offer. It's a trend with chinese companies to offer crappy software.
@@drconflict629 What are the benefits to using Freejoy over the factory apps?

Hello, i have my own mod with hall sensors and tiny load cell for the brake. using a g29 pedals and a usb converter for shifter and pedals. i got jitter on all pedals. but worst on the brake sometimes 1% of variation. Can you give me a possible solutions to try? thanks so much.
Hi I bought these pedals on AliExpress, how long will it take for them to arrive? I live in France, thanks
Usually about 2 weeks.
