First time I’ve come across your reviews and I’m very impressed with your honesty about the capabilities of both vehicles and I absolutely love the joviality and humour you share.
If I had the money I’d definitely go for the Prado (currently have a 2003 TD 3L Prado) but I’d also consider a Pajero (an older model, ie not the Sport) if money was a issue.
Thank you from Sydney, Australia.
I drive a pajero V98 2013 fully loaded (Centre and rear diff locks) bought brand new from Simba Corp ….the simple analogy is the pajero is a dignified car which is very underrated….mine has clocked 142,000 Kms no issues at all .
I will recommend that both presenters educate themselves a bit more on 4x4 systems as they have completely confused themselves on the pajeros super select system and the options available on the pajero .
Infact Pajero was the first to come up with 4x4 innovation way before Toyota
Team pajero wapi likes...
Giving a toyota guy a pajero to defend is like heading to court with a public defender...😂😂😂😂 definitely get a conviction
Exactly my point , Ibrahim is totally a toyota lover ,there is no way he should defend a pajero
proper production and content articulation nice work boys.
You guys do an amazing job with your practical and localized car reviews. Keep it up!
Hello sir. I'm a huge fan. I'm suggesting that you start a new series dedicated to economical cars available in the Southern/Eastern African market. And perhaps once every month or so, a special episode for a sporty/fun economic car. You could start this series with a Vitz.
Yeah we need this fr
My experience is that the Prado is the better engineered car by 10% but asking a 30% premium which is why I have always owned Pajero’s and Pajero Sport and never ever had any issues with them. Super reliable - which is what you want for outback touring.
Very good interaction between you two. Effective communication and imparting essential info without embellishments. Thanks.
First 12mins 40sec had me lean forward....greatness tupu.
Nice one guys thanks for the insightful reviews and keep them coming.
Pajero engine is bullet proof.
Prado engines the early ones ( lower power output) have a bad turbo. Toyota replaced them with a new one that can run higher boost, therefore they gain more power.
Upside for Prado is massive fuel capacity.
But for the price, you can't buy better then a Pajero.
Watching from Perth 👍
My number 1 cars review channel full support guys..keep it rolling...
I love your car reviews. Nimekuwa nikiwafuata chini ya maji na imebidi nisubscribe sasa. You are educational providing great ideas
Amazing video guy, thank you and cheers from Luxembourg
New sub here glad to find this channel..not much into cars but either ways support is paramount.🙌🙌
the pajero seems to have a better traction control system
Way far better than Prado
Man you doing the most ......enjoying from UG keep going 😊
I will give Pajero more marks in terms of traction control. Even with it's heating challenges it is better at handling tough terrains than Prado. And its 4wD options make it even better at choosing the best option for your conditions.
nice job, though I was expecting kuona visual comparison of the interiors, trunk, off road capability too
You have stepped up a notch with the beautiful setting and location you selected. Plus the aerial shots showing off the views and landscape of our beautiful country. 👏🏽
Thank you, you answered my questions. I now know better!
You are the best in this business. I was looking if you had done any video on Toyota Porte. Please consider
Kenito wa Qatar 🇶🇦 always here to show some epic love 💪
Good job I love how we've started the year. Team j150. Hii gari iko na heshima yake tu from an ordinary Kenyan.
Clearly they understand the prado way more than the pajero hence doing pajero disservice in the analysis.
I love your work you guys! Keep up the good work. 👍🏾
Ukiona wokabi kwa prado...hio ndio itashìnda..
Ni mjanja sana
😂😂😂 fraud that one
😂😂😂 I've noticed that too.
We will miss this guy🤣🤣
The one million difference modify the pajero to unbeatable levels no j150 would come close
Pajero has won Paris Dakar rally 15 times.facts
Been struggling with this decision Wokabi! Glad you have sorted me out! J150 for now.
Thank you. Very enjoyable and easy to watch your review.
Whatever you say, I'd still go with the paj
The figure you've given on fuel consumption of 12km/l is the one given by toyota when the car is brand new. Considering that most wont buy prados zero mileage means by the time they come to Kenya 5-10 years later the average fuel economy will be around 7-9 km/l
Very true, I've also noticed that on fuel consumption.
All in all, if you can afford such a unit, fuel economy is a non issue
Love this unbiased and clear review, great job team! Although It feels like it became harder for me to decide which one to get. :( Both beautiful carss!
Disco 4 vs Prado J150 ,I'm looking forward for the episode
You guys are amazing, I would go for prado
J150 for me. Thanks for the excellent review.
Good job guyz
...mkiweza mnaweza fanya ya Petrol variants
Watu wa Pajero/Montero kujeni huku tumeambiwa our toy is like a posho meal machine...aki ya nani.
Prado all the eay .. Nice super review
Good job sir, however comparison on road will be cool too, the prados have had a reputation to sway off at high speeds......
Nice review. I daily drive a 2016 J150 with the 1GD engine. However, it is not “powerful” and you’ll never get that 13km/l whether in the city or highway. My average over 1,500km (mixed city & highway) is about 8.6km/l
If the diesel consumes 8 km/l then expect 5km/l on petro prado
Hey wakili, have you driven a 2013> with the 1kd? Which drives better, consumption aside?
good work please tell us the difference between a hilux single cab n dmax single cab for long distance transpot
Great analysis, Erick, I have a Mark X 2008 extra, I am planning to get a better car with AWD, SUV, and performs well esoecially in speed just like this Mark X. My budget is below 1.5m. Please advise me what model or make I need to consider. Thanks and have a blessed Sunday.
The pajero makes more sence 1 m is a huge difference in price while the cars mostly perform the same ..plus how many times will anyone be doing serious off roading
I have to admit i just love prado so much 🔥🔥.
one of my favourite comparison .
I never liked prados but Erick with ck is making me fall in love with prados however i love Toyota fortuner, my dream car.
Would definitely go for a Prado though the ones with more advanced features like the TZG or the VXL...A Prado has everything that an off-roader would require.
Mkiweza tuletea review ya Harrier U65 hybrid vs the 2012-2015 rx-450h tunaweza shukuru sana. Those two cars are in their own category ya Japanese crossover uxury suvs
I am for Prado. Good job guys
Mitsubishi ama mistubishi oyaaa? great analysis of the two machines. Keep up!
Tongue breaker
What about the stability of the j150 compared to the Paj
Erick wokabi please bring for as a BMW 640i and we will appreciate sir
Mtufanyie review YA kluger ya 2009 to 2010 na 2015 to 2017 bwanaa
after the end of the video can we introduce like a drag race to measure their output
Landcruiser nayo ni kali, prado all the way🔥🔥🔥i like body on frame
Its Mit -Su - Bishi brother,
not Miss -Tu -Bishi
Pajero anyday boys!!!
Nice review ❤
The Pajero is box and manly beautiful care
Do nusu mkate of pajero- short chasis one
Is pajero gear box from nissan too?
Carniversations getting better and better every day 🎉 this video is very impressive
Compare the steering wheel vibrations on both vehicles. Anyway, team Toyota!
I would go with the Prado all day. I own one but the 4.0 L which has the updated v6 engine. It gives you 380 - 400 NM torque and has 260 horse power. It also has very good fuel economy especially on the highways. You can can up to 7.5 - 8.5 L per 100kms. The diesel engine is a little under powered and the dpf issues is just a turn off. The 2.7 L petrol is under powered and consumes a lot of fuel. In my opinion the 4.0L v6 Prado petrol dual vvti is more versatile compared to the other 2 models
Mnatoa pesa ya mafuta wapi
I have the prado with the 2TR-FE that only gets 6.4km/L
@@cerulloamollo The 2015 petrol version of the Prado were upgraded with Toyota's 1 GR-FE 4.0L V6 DUAL VVTI Engine. It is the same engine that the Toyota 4 runner US version and the FJ cruiser too is equipped with. It is among the top 5 best ever built engine by Toyota and will serve you for a very long time as long as you service it regularly especially oil changes. This engine was built by Toyota to address the issue of the diesel under powered engine + try and improve the torque on the petrol engine and most importantly to address the fuel efficiency hence the dual VVTI. Believe me when I tell you you can get 12km/ L with this engine on the highway. It has better fuel efficiency than the smaller 2.7 petrol engine which I believe is the 2TR-FE you are talking about. The 1 GR-FE 4.0L V6 is rare to find in the Kenyan market. I had to import mine from South Africa and it comes with a reserve tank as well just like the diesel engine. This engine will give you 260 horsepower + torque between 380 NM - 400NM.
@@dennismutuku157 hehe the 4.0L V6 Dual VVTI is very fuel efficient. You get a combine output(highway + city driving) of around 11.6L per 100km. It is more economical than the diesel engine on the highway and that is where it excels. I have friends who have the diesel versions and can hardly get 8 - 9 L per 100km on the highway when I get upto 7.5 - 8.0 l per 100km on the highway. The diesel guys can over here can confirm this claims I am not hyping. The Prado 4.0L v6 Dual VVTI is the best engine to go with if you are buying a Prado in my opinion. You will get more value than a diesel version
It's good to see people appreciating the 1gr. Thing pulls like a train when you put your foot down. And when gently cruising rarely goes above 2500 rpm
Good job on the comparison of the two legends; however, deep inside both of you seem to be fans of Toyota.
Prado all the way
What is your take on mu x vs Everest vs fortuner vs terra please?... thanks
I also wait
The next off-road comparison should be between a Discovery 4 and a Touareg 7P.
Compared to cars rolling which car has the highest fertility boss pajero is the most safest
For the guy talking about Pajero what do you mean by "rear center diff"?
How many dakar races has the pajero worn? And how many has the prado been enlisted on! Lastly how many cylinder on the prado
they have the same number of cylinders and also about dakar rally that was mk2 not the current generation but i still like the pajero more
Kindly do a fortunes
You took the blue MUX for actual offroad testdrive, why not the pajero n prado
Mimi ni teardrop manenos!!!
pajero and over heating are 🤞 am team TOYOTA for life and i think the prado does carry alot similarity with the brother fortuner
i like the way he says "MISTUBISHI"
review ya toyota ractis new model?
For clarification it is a full size SUV not a mid size SUV
Correct.
Full size suv ni kina patrol, lc100/200/300, sequoia na Vogue. Etc prado is midsized imo ir depending who you ask
@@chizzek1 SUV is about size and most vehicles with three rows are full-size SUV. Mid-size is the groups of RAV 4. It has nothing to do with the company or model. It is all about size.
@@BS-kl9yf so a vanguard with 3 rows is a fullsize? A prado with 2 rows is mid? Seat number is half the equation.
@@chizzek1 you have answered yourself already by questioning the category of Prados with five seats. The last sentence I wrote clarified about the size of the car. You don't need measurements to know that Vanguards are way smaller than Prados. Size is the main criteria, not even the engine power.
Can someone kindly remind Ibrahim that it's called Mitsubishi and not Mistubishi, anyway the only memory I have of the pajero is when president ruto while as the DP bought it for Archbishop Phillip Anyolo as a coronation gift but the catholic church condemned and rejected it ikarudishwa kwa hasla😂😂😂😂
Tufanyie review ya Ford Focus RS please
Where's this place?
Hio Prado ikikumulika usiku inakupiga x-ray, dereva pamoja na gari 😀
This review is not complete until you bring a pajero purist to argue out this case well, Ibrahim is un doubtly a prado j150 lover ,and he deliberately didn't defend the pajero at all, he didn't even talk about fuel consumption
Whereas you have a good point, making it about which car should win based with how it’s defended is not being fair and balanced in a review. The most important bit is sharing both factual good and bad of each car and allowing you guys to make a choice who does it is besides the point and we are open to have contributions from you and what we might have left out to give the Pajero an extra edge
@@CARNVERSATIONS true bro I love your reviews alot ,actually your the most watched channel on my utube , however i still believe Ibrahim wasn't the right man to defend the pajero
You can also both vehicles against the Fortuner
Prado is 'midsize'?
Mitsubishi any day
I would definitely pick the pajero over the prado anyday.pajero is more stable
I tried the pajero. Hapana the prado is far better.
Toyotas vehicles are reaffered as bulletproof due to their reliability, there's nothing to compare between these two vehicles coz Toyota leads in everything.
Kwani Prado ni mid-sized SUV?
Eric is just a domineering talkative.
l like the channel
Toyota kila wakati
It’s common sense there is no way full time 4 wheel drive and two wheel drive of similar displacements will consume the same fuel per km
For the price of one Prado you can buy 2 good condition Pajero. In UAE it's sometime 3 pajero 3.8 V6 in good condition for the price of one Prado 4.0 V6. Why doing that ? Prado price don't make sense, they are too much uncorrelated with the market and yet people buy simply because it has the land cruiser label.
Can you discuss or do a video on the unreliability of 1kd engine on prado diesel j120 and j150 , and mostly the unreliable toyota hiace , many people are replacing the 1kd with 1kz , there is a mzee i met in a yard who is on his third 1kd engine , also bankrepossessed yards have many grounded toyota hiace 1kd which all need engines or injectors i think you need to do a video on that
Which people?
The 1KD on the Toyota Hiace is clocking 1M Kms...look at the shuttles plying long distance routes. Fanya research kiasi
Last month alone riverlong yard kiambu road had 5 with dead engines , there was also a hilux and a fortuner , most of the people i sell j120 they always say they want one with 1kz , and most people with hiace 1kd have replaced engines but immediately the engine dies when the vehicle has a loan they just stop paying and its sold without engines thats how they end up as bankrepossessed @@CARNVERSATIONS
@@CARNVERSATIONSand ibra forgot to say the locally assembled pajero is 2800cc diesel turbo , 3200 is the imported ones ,
Pajero all the way. Discontinued in 2013 or 2014?
Great job. You should have talked about resale value as well. The Prado retains value much better than the Paj.
A review for INSIGNIA
Hope it's J150 diesel for this comparison
The 2.7 petrol is quite underwhelming.
J150 all the way, although the new Mitsubishi montero is also a beast
