Mark X , 2.5L gets regularly 14.5kpl on the highway for me. Real life. If you decide to push down the "Sports Mode" so that it dashes and pushes your head back onto the seat at breakneck acceleration weaving through traffic and overtaking like lightning - your consumption goes down to 10kpl on the highway. If we had some real good Expressways between Mombasa - Nairobi - Kisumu, etc the bigger engined cars would be the best option to use for travels, hoping they allow inner lanes to operate between 140-150kph. They don't tire easily.
i have been dying for ATENZA and even after this video,am still banking with atenza...the sleek look is what has been taking my attention on this particular car...good content guys ,mtu kama mm cjui hii stry ningejulia wapi
Appreciate the review. I would go for the smaller rim where possible. The tire profile will be larger and will have more shock absorption and a better ride especially on the Kenyan roads.
Nice content. Please always brief us on car space (boot), test drives, taking turns with the car, is the car fit for a tall person which is the leg room, and head space. Loved the fact that you launched the car. Thank you.
Great job as always. Always loved the sound of the V6 from the very first time I drove one in 2011.Actually the Atenza featured sits on 19s. The 3.0V6 was only found in the GRX 121 series with 3GR-FSE with 252bhp and 314 Nm of torque. For the GRX 133 the 2GR-FSE churns out 312bhp and 380Nm of torque. With the limited Modellista of the same that is supercharged numbers jumped to 355bhp and 497Nm of torque. Keep up the great work!
I've seen this mazda skyactiv supercharged. The numbers are around 300 whp. There's some videos here on TH-cam. Its pretty great for a lightweight 4 banger
Mark X 2.5 V6 is just super punchy and liquid smooth from idle to redline. The shoot off from standstill is immediate and impressively strong. And it sounds lovely! Mazda 6 2.5 is not slow but it's relatively gruff sounding and especially coarse to redline...
Nimeskia mkisema from 2018 Atenza gets a turbo, lakini Wokabi umesashau from 2019 Mark X gets the limited edition GRMN. 3.5litre NA, 6 speed manual, rear wheel drive. lakini sasa hapo kwa value for money point inapotea.😅
The mark X people need to go up in arms against Erick. After being told that they install gypsum ceilings, put mazeras on their floors, mara their vehicles zimekuliwa na mbwa!! Then he goes ahead and picks it over the lovely atenza. What on God's green earth is this form of gaslighting. Mimi siwezi ambiwa ivo. No way
I agree as a 1st generation owner the bumper chapas really bad and its weak, you have to facelift it to have a strong nicer looking one, thou I'm still with Grx120 I say its for the Streets🥵,Grx130 is for class😎
Mark X has got enough driver space and passager too. Coming to pickup speed is the beast 💪. Toyota mark X all the way. I had experience all the way from Darasam up to into Zambia. Best car on the market so far 👌
It's crazy that the one with front wheel drive is less spacious and practical. That was the whole point of transverse mounted front wheel drive layout!
Hello Erick withCK. Honestly, i wish you could start doing 2 car comparisons from now onwards. This is very impressive and really informative, and don't forget Carniversation without mentioning Mbugua & Boot is not a Carniversation😅😅😅says Captain Kilonzo 😂😂
Current mark x's have V6 VVTI engines that are fuel efficient. Mark X makes 15KM/L on high way. Mark x consumes alot of fuel at low speeds but consumes less fuel on high speeds.
No car decision conversation here, ibra here always agreeing with you not defending his car...mbogua is a big fan of mazda he should have been the one reviewing the mazda..alot of winning points for mazda here🤔
Hapa mimi naenda na Mark X. It's a throwback sports sedan, something that will be missed in the years to come. My choice is purely sentimental because te cars of my childhood are disappearing.
mazdas in general have smaller interior space due to the way the exhaust manifold is designed, thats why they have long hoods and relatively small interiors
I have never spent 41 minutes watching a car review/comparison until now, this is very informative and entertaining as well 👏 ❤............l'll take the Mark X any day of the year
Thank you Ibrah and Eric, these Atenza guyz have been talking too much, aty Ooh sijui sky active, aty ooh sijui Aerodynamics.... Gari ni engine mazee, Mark X takes it home
The "Mark X" is not pronounced "Mark Ten" but "Mark Ex", though the "Mark II" is "Mark Two". The Mark X is a continuation of the previous Mark II and its siblings, the sport-orientated Chaser, and the luxurious Cresta in one vehicle, repeating an approach previously attempted by the short-lived Verossa that used inline-six engines, whereas the Mark X uses V6 engines.
I think for the looks Mazda has the look of a serious man going for work,it's ready for anything it's matured,,it looks like the Boss it's self, and it sound Good But the Mark X has a Sexy look inataka kukunywa tu warembo😂,,, I think The Mazda Should win
Get a Racebox to do the timer for you. Its automatic and not that expensive and makes sure you get accurate results. Not results based on how fast a finger can press. The Atenza hits 8.4seconds and the Mark x 8.4 seconds. How you got +3seconds is funny 😂😂😂
You guys are really passionate about what you do and it's really showing. Passion transcends everything, I really enjoyed this review 💯💯
Thanks so much!!
Really good reviews Wokabi✅✅.. Nipewe hoodie tu sasa@@CARNVERSATIONS
I like how you have done something different. I hope you have more comparisons of different cars in the future.

Mark x isn't breaking any necks, 😂 but yeah ,I agree , consumption ain't the best .
You guys I love what you are doing. Fantastic job on displaying the specs between those cars.

Appreciate the review.
I would go for the smaller rim where possible.

agreed...i have low profile tyres on my atenza...i blew my tyre a few weeks ago and bust the rim on some really potholed road...
@@allanmogusu3654
Sad to hear that.
But unfortunately, those are some of the perks of having large rims including a rougher ride.
My carwow in Kenya. Kudos my guy
just discovered carwow channel a few days ago.
13:10 In short, Toque is what gets the car upto speed, horsepower is what keeps it there..
more like torgue = strength and horsepower = power power
Nice content. Please always brief us on car space (boot), test drives, taking turns with the car, is the car fit for a tall person which is the leg room, and head space. Loved the fact that you launched the car. Thank you.
Mark X is better on the interior. 6' person will sit comfortably
You guys make a simple review feel Premium like that Mark x badge🤣🤣 I love it❤

The best review so far. I agree wholesome. I came in thinking Atenza, would take it.
I have been schooled proper.
Mark X takes it.
Awesome!... Before I realized it, the show was coming to an end. Having a co-host has made all the difference
Thank you for the feedback expect more of this often
Good work sir Wokabi and the team. You could have added Nissan Teana in the picture to give us the clearest picture and options.
Thanks for listening to our request on car comparisons, loved this show today
An extra point on fuel consumption for mazda Atenza over Mark x
The happiest content creators
Atenza got the looks but mark x got the juice 🔥🔥🔥
With this fuel economy go for the looks buana😂😂
My 06' crown with the 4GR-FSE averages 9-12kmpl
Mark X is a deal done 🙌
@@dannykamauYou mean I go for Atenza instead of mark X based on fuel economy?
@@masculinityroaster most probably
for those who know about cars, the mark X is undisputed
nice episode ...more comparisons in future will be highly appreciated
This was one great team. Great quality and fun to watch.
My most epic experience watching carnversation, keep up the good work
Mark X 2.5 V6 is just super punchy and liquid smooth from idle to redline. The shoot off from standstill is immediate and impressively strong. And it sounds lovely!
Mazda 6 2.5 is not slow but it's relatively gruff sounding and especially coarse to redline...
Good content guys, hope this comes through often 👏

No way am missing this. I know it will be entertaining. Anyway keep up the good work guys.
We need more reviews like this guys 4:24
Just to let you know Eric,we appreciate the chapter markers

Ni old model ndo Erick with ck alisema inakaa kama imekuliwa na mbwa
Nice review. I was Atenza by looks but by specs I am now being swayed to Mark X.
Hapo kwa looks ya GRX 120 is your opinion which you are entitled too😁😁 but as a GRX 120 owner gari ni mark x.
Good review comparison guys. Kudos!
God bless you this is the video i needed because I don't know which one to buy. Love from Suriname❤🇸🇷
This has been a very very nice conversation Kalisa wow love from UG
Hi carnversation would you do a video about the Toyota Wish and Honda Stream and get to contrast them.. otherwise I enjoy your channel we love it
Mazda premacy should also feature in that comparison
at last i had waited for this analysis much big up Eric
Abbey from Uganda thanks for the presentation I go with mark X
I agree as a 1st generation owner the bumper chapas really bad and its weak, you have to facelift it to have a strong nicer looking one, thou I'm still with Grx120 I say its for the Streets🥵,Grx130 is for class😎
kazi safi. This episode is very refreshing because it's different.
Great review, Watching from Botswana 🇧🇼
You guys are doing great job have know much about cars kumbe sikua najua anything....
What about fuel economy? The Atenza does match up really. And if it is up to me, the real dealbreakers in a car are fuel economy and safety.
Mark X has got enough driver space and passager too. Coming to pickup speed is the beast 💪. Toyota mark X all the way. I had experience all the way from Darasam up to into Zambia. Best car on the market so far 👌
Wokabi used to say Mark X hukwama ata kwa nyasi baridi😂 ...am team Atenza on this one, Ibra strong💪🏾
a comparison segment would be awesome
I think Wokabi had a delay to stop the watch while reviewing the atenza. Keep the good work
It's crazy that the one with front wheel drive is less spacious and practical. That was the whole point of transverse mounted front wheel drive layout!
it has something to do with the exhaust manifold design in mazdas
Mark X, a class of its own
Leo mmepelekana unyo kwa unyo...nice stuff...
I like the Atenza sleek looks slay and even the interior is awesome ❤ ❤
i realy enjoy this carnversations but i go with mark x because i like the mark family from the king old vertion mark ii.

Brilliant and honest review
Carnversologist mwenyewe 👊👊Erick Wokabi
So this Mark-x is cheaper than the Premio?! Wokabi that is one point you guys failed to mention
Tax duty is the reason
Reasons are 2.5l is no joke as a daily driver.
2) Mark x inkuwanga n problem ya front suspension, wokabi neversaid that.
unajua Premio ukishanunua hakuna pesa ingine unatumia. hata hakuna kurefuel 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@sannyonyango3667 is there still any right headed man still premio with that price tag, Kuna options mob sana
@@bingorolly which options?
Awesome review guys!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Mazda adds another point on fuel economy.
This is was more of a preference game than a review.
Great video! Ibrahim forgot fuel economy! That's a big win for atenza.. plus ground clearance, not a big loss if you ask me!
ibra was not even reviewing the mazda only discriminating it...wote ni mark x boyz
Current mark x's have V6 VVTI engines that are fuel efficient.
Mark X makes 15KM/L on high way. Mark x consumes alot of fuel at low speeds but consumes less fuel on high speeds.
Town running returns about 9.5kpl; highway you can get you up to 16kpl.
Very true.on a highway I usually wonder why I consume less
Very true
37:36 😂😂😂
After Ibra realized tumechezwaa the whole time 😂
Hilarious 😂😂
Please put a comparison in terms of safety, breaking system, airbags and leg room.
Mark x more safer high-speed but still stable airbags almost everywhere
No car decision conversation here, ibra here always agreeing with you not defending his car...mbogua is a big fan of mazda he should have been the one reviewing the mazda..alot of winning points for mazda here🤔
Great job!... Now Do a head 2 head review of the crown vs Fuga
Fuel economy and safety rating, Atenza wins. Though u guys didn't mention. But a good video
Hapa mimi naenda na Mark X. It's a throwback sports sedan, something that will be missed in the years to come. My choice is purely sentimental because te cars of my childhood are disappearing.
A much needed comparison.

Great content. Looking forward to coupe suv series
You are really doing great work. We are your biggest fun
Atenza while parked ,mark x while driving simple
Front wheel drive cars tend to have lesser space in the rear seats due to the transversely mounted engines
wtf ?? u dont know what you talking about
FWD cars have more room due to the transverse mounted engine which gives more space in the cabin
@@7territoryrecords thank you for the correction yeah they have more space than rwd's
mazdas in general have smaller interior space due to the way the exhaust manifold is designed, thats why they have long hoods and relatively small interiors

Toyota Mark X is pronounced as "Toyota Mark Ten" , its roman labeled, for instance there was a "Mark II" pronounced as a "Mark Two"
Eih, I was today years old when I knew this. Cheers mate 🎉
The "Mark X" is not pronounced "Mark Ten" but "Mark Ex", though the "Mark II" is "Mark Two". Have you seen Suzuki Kizashi?
Worth a look. I'm torn between Atenza wagon, Kizashi, Mark X, IS250 - 300.
