    🎩 PC Sherpa Survey: forms.gle/ALj54nqRVRqR53R56
    Like I said, please do let me know your thoughts on the RAM as we've been testing to really no avail so far. Appreciate you all and thank you all for watching :D
    UPDATE IN THE "READ MORE" SECTION OF THIS COMMENT:
    Diablo (the client here) got some help from the people in my discord, and decided on running DSR (not DLDSR) to go to a higher scaled resolution. After that, he resumed having 4 sticks in his board. Turns out his board is a literal king in LGA 1200 (the MSI Med Unify) which can easily handle high speed RAM- likely allowing him to hit the 4000 Mt/s speed without issue. As far as the clocks on the CPU go, those are likely fine (just some usual slight down clocking under multithreaded workloads to stay stable). Also, performance is still better with the 4 sticks, against all logic we have. No clue why with a dual channel board, but here we are. Appreciate all your help and thank you for watching!

    Loving this series! I've picked up a lot from it.
    I was happy to hear you say that someone who's CPU-bound would be fine switching to Medium shadows. I remember you recommending Low most of the time in other videos. Low is really hard to look at for me with the blurriness and the way you can literally see shadows "tick" across the ground as they update with the position of the sun.

      A while ago I did, yeah. I did some testing though that really showed margin of error in between low and med when CPU bound, so its all good to go for it! Also glad to hear youre loving it. Make sure to watch my PC Sherpa live vods too if you want some more too, they are around after I stream them (normally after 6pm CST)

    21:20 if you want to work DLDSR in Borderless, you can go to NVCP, Change resolution section and then change your resolution to the DLDSR's resolution.
    For the shrinking problem. Go to the Adjust Desktop Size and Position. Change the scaling size to either Aspect Ratio or Fullscreen. It'll solve the shrinking problem(everything gets smaller in desktop or in games etc., it'll fix that but not 100%). Do not change it to No Scaling because that option will not solve the shrinking problem.

    The game caches a TON into the OS paging file. I'm running a very old PC, i7 3770, 16gb ram 1333mghz, rtx 2060, samsung 980 pro NVME in a PCI-E adapter. Could not even launch the game at first because of memory usage, but I increased the size of my paging file to like 32GB and now everything works fine. I get consistently around 70-80 fps, but 100+ fps in some areas. I have done a ton of OS optimizations and tweaks, custom tiny version of windows 11, so that is a factor as well. I honestly didn't think tarkov would even work on this PC, because I had worse performance on a much better PC about 5 years ago.

I built this frankenstein PC assuming that no real gaming would happen on it, but it does fine, no hiccups. samsung 980 pro, new version with heatsink is much better because it does not thermal throttle like the original 980 pro did on release. also the 1TB model, because it did not have the firmware issues that the 2TB model had. 75 dollars used on amazon, pci express to nvme adapter 20 dollars on amazon. The adapter had some nice thermal pads and another heatsink I could stick onto the backside of it. It stays under 40C all of the time, temp never changes, and it's fast as hell even though I'm running it thru older PCI-E 3.0 lanes. That's that shit right there.

    I have a 4080 super and I find on maps that give me high FPS like factory, Labs and woods I utlize my GPU at around 80-90%, but streets and lighthouse only use around 50-60% of my gpu and give alot worse FPS. I am guessing BSG just doesnt care about optimization lol and since streets is a newer map it just is terribly optimized. Just my guess as to why I get low usage on streets and lighthouse but higher utlization on small maps like factory and labs.

    • @klemintime1452
      @klemintime1452  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The lower utilization is from the higher CPU workload on those maps, causing an increased CPU bottleneck. This feeds less work to the GPU, meaning that the CPU is the thing holding back the pipeline. That's why your GPU has less work.

      Have you checked on your temps? Typically, the clock speeds are lowered when the temperature rises. You can use HWinfo to check on the temps and clock speeds, to see how things are looking. If your temps are higher, you can try slightly undervolting the CPU. I did that on mine, locking it at 1,2V and 4,7GHz. Temps don't go above 60-65C depending on the game.

      Ive got pretty much the same setup. I7 9700k, 2070s and 32gb 3600mhz ram. My rig was decent before this patch that they rolled back because of the frame issues everyone experienced but when they rolled it out again saying they “fixed it”, i saw no positive difference only the same negatives. I know the i7 9700k is a bit underpowered now a days but it all comes back to tarkov being poorly optimized considering every other game i run is fine. Tarkov is the only game ive ever played that always seems to vary on performance from raid to raid. First 1-3 raids of the day always run great and then a complete 180 on performance. Even if i clear cache, clear logs, have lasso open, have a clear standby list going, the whole 9 yards of “every” fix possible just doesnt seem to make it feel better. Streets in certain areas of the map are just a death sentence if i get into a fight at those places. If i get to an area that drops me to 40fps, i dont dare ADS cuz i drop to 10-20 frames. Other maps I generally run pretty good at an average of 70-110fps but the slow and noticeable decrease in performance still happens and makes you really question your own hardware being bad or internet being slow etc… your best bet is to get at least 32gb of ram and if you can get the fasted speed possible, get that! Also your ssd speed and size also help hugely if it has a fast speed and is less than 60%full. Hope you find happiness in your endeavor for fps!

      As example a normal 5600x would have 32mb and the 5800x has 96mb.
      The best thing you could do would be to look at getting a 5800x3d or the cheaper but still 8 core option, the 5700x3d. Will your other specs.. you would see a MASSIVE improvement.
      Also make sure your running tarkov on med detail with 7600x due to 8gb and I would be running that streets in game option to drop you down to low just for streets.

    BOTTLENECK IN TARKOV
    Your V-RAM
    12GB of VRAM = 100-130 fps
    16GB = 130-240
    24GB = 200 -240
    If you wanna play tarkov and have a high fps while decent stutter free experience you are going to need a 2k€ graphics card.
    And honestly I don’t understand people with an 2k gpu and an 150€ cpu wtf

      Edit: I tried tarkov with 4 different cpus only 4% fps differences but as soon as I switched from an 2080 Ti 12GB
      To an 4070 TI super 16GB my performance increased 30%

      It runs like shit on a 12700k and 4080.
      I know, what an awful mismatched combo........

      @@cptbluemax1234 12700k with a good overclocked RAM should not be bad
