      Interesting the tax gatherer's name is "Walthemor Mitty." Wonder if this is a flashback to the 1940's story and movie "The Private Life of Walter Mitty" where an employee of a publisher of adventure books and stories constantly flashes into fantasies where he is a dashing hero...swashbuckler, fighter ace, private detective. In a way he could represent all of us...cause we all fantasize about being a near superhuman Witcher named Geralt.

    While at the sky cells I looted a parchment off one of the pirates that name dropped Cthulhu and gave mention to 'The Ancient Gods'. The parchment also said more sacrifices were needed. Wondered if it was meant to be part of a mission that never got developed, but was planned, much like The Devils Pit (glad that did finish that mission and put it in the game). The parchment also said more sacrifices were needed

    I want to add though that in the land of fabled in the Blood and Wine dlc, there is a spot near the Witch Hut where you can leave the map and explore all of Toussaint, even see the vampire attack in the city during the day. It's there where you can go see the Witcher developers painting

    One of the most frustrating things about this game is that there are many quests that you can unwittingly miss depending on previous choices. There's one on skellige ("trading in flesh" maybe?) that disappears if you complete "following the thread", which most people complete early. No idea why the devs would do this...

    • @nimbupaani6335
      @nimbupaani6335 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

  • @ObeyCamp

    Man, this game is just Mind blowing sometimes. Even if someone is aware of every secret on this list, there's almost certainly stuff out there they haven't seen unless they're either some crazy dataminer or they've seen every iteration of the "ten secrets" video. I'm quickly approaching 1000 hours in The Witcher 3 and in my current playthrough I just found a full-on side quest I've never played, AND a loading screen I hadn't ever seen (you know, where Dandelion reads a little blurb about the point youre currently at in the story,) in the SAME DAY. There are just so many places to go, so many missable things and events. The Witcher 3 really is one of the top games of the generation, and I say that as someone who, until playing it on a whim, "wasn't really into monsters and stuff." Now I've read all the books, put close to 1000 hours into TW3, and built a beefy gaming PC just to go back and play the previous games. What a masterfully written universe.

    Another fun secret I was reading about was that
    SPOILERS:
    If you cure Vivienne in the Blood and Wine expac you give her only about 7 years to live. She then goes off to Skellige. I am blanking to what town, but there you can wait like 2000 something in game days and you will see her walk into her room and collapse. I gave it a try and it's a real thing. Kind of a fun little detail as well.
    I also enjoy the extra talking points you get with Triss, Yen, Ciri, and others if you have Gaunter O Dimm tattoo on your face before finishing the main story. You ask about if they can remove it or if it looks bad. So many fun things in this game. There were a few on your list I didn't know (like the tattoo) as I hadn't played Witcher 1 or imported a Witcher 2 file in a long time.

Games have always been an important part of my life and i seriously want to thank all the people at cdpr for putting SO MUCH obvious love into such an amazing experience to play for all of us, this game should be a national treasure.. for every nation 😂 its that damn good. Period. I wish things hadnt taken the direction they have of late because even with all the technological advancements im afraid we might never get a great game like this again that just immersed you in a compelling ass story that never shorted you on fun, great story, GREAT story im just gonna say that again, EDIT: And didnt throw annoying stuff in your face like it was their job to do so, just good old fashioned fun and story - end of EDIT. all the connections/consequences and options are seriously mindblowing. The customization, the graphics, the weather, the controls and gameplay it was all so damn dynamic. The mystery and suspense, always wanting to know what happened next, i remember plenty of nights staying up until 5 am because i couldnt stop 😂 and ive waited long enough to FINALLY be able to do it again. These guys and gals knew what they were doing and they are masters. 15/10 no bs

    Number 7: Are you sure you can't kill it? I thought as a further reference it was possible to blow it up with bombs (grapeshot). Might need to try it again in a new playthrough ^^

    Can you hang the diploma in your house in Toussaint? That would be cool. Or maybe even putting it on The Chameleons wall, like that painting of the hierarch.

    Honestly one of the best games ever made and a team that cares to boot. I’m no longer a fan of Bethesda as they are greedy and don’t focus on the games we want like elder scrolls 6

    You can get to the developer's photograph without mods if you go tha path of a thousand fables is possible to escape that land and go back to the normal map since the land of the fables is putside the normal map tha game deactivates almost all map borders and you can then go to the mount gorgon.
    Just stay way from beauclair the borders are a bit tricky there.
    P.S. you can get the parts of the hen gaidth set that are normally outside the normal map borders during this time.

    I think the tax collector name is a Easter egg off some sort, a Walter Mitty is British army slang for stolen valor or someone pretending to be a soldier, I think the name comes from a book but it might be a nod to the dev’s ‘pretending’ to be a tax man if you use a money cheat
