I’ve driven my fair share of Focus RS’s. Someone traded one in at my work and it was tuned with 475hp… I got to demo it for a couple days and it was fastttttttt and so much fun. I think I’d still swing for a Golf R but I do love the Focus.

I also bought my RS brand new in 2016 and daily drive it. Just about to hit 100k kms. I installed Ohlins coilovers and Whiteline control arms along with poly bushings. Also bumped down to 18" wheels. Removed the bounciness and it performs excellent on track. To me it transformed the car and honestly I have a hard time finding or justifying a replacement with the same amount of engagement.
i do like the Focus RS. That and the Ford ST were always nice to see on the road. As a 2011 VW MK6 GTI owner, I do appreciate a hot hatch. I've had mine since new in 2011 and it's now 2024 and she's showing some age, but I'm sometimes impressed with how modern it can look at times. I swapped out the head unit for a nice double din headunit with wireless carplay. Really brings it into the 2020s.
I'm also surprised at how loud it is with just a catback. I have a high flow downpipe and a borla type s catback. with a tune it sounds similar, but I've changed the tune to remove the pops and bangs as it got a little old for a daily driver.
Ford used to make such lovely sedans and hatches. My friend has a 2013 Ford Fusion - unassuming, but has a punchy 240-horse turbo 4 cylinder. On the occasion that I end up driving his car, it always jumpscares me when I get onto a fast road with just how quick it can be
Love my 17 FoST. Barely 75k miles and the best daily driver I've ever had. Just got the ford performance calibration for it FINALLY. Can't wait to install 🤗
I bought mine focus rs in 2018 and just traded it in for a mustang dark horse. I had the same problem with the really stiff suspension on the highway. There were many little things I didn’t like the car but I still love it. I’m going to really miss it.😢
I miss my RS. Had for less than a year before getting a GTI-R. Honestly my favorite part was scaring people who had no idea just how fast this thing is.
Nice video! I daily drive the same car. Mostly stock except for the MBRP exhaust and a few minor things. Everybody complains about the suspension, but I don't find it bad at all. I have never experienced that bounciness you have at 18:12 and I drive tons of highway miles.

Focus ST also has sharp brakes, I remember getting a loaner when my Mustang was in the shop for a week, i was like whoa! I can get into trouble with this, the handling was nimble and the brakes were sharp.
Chris is literally a regular dude lol Considering what this car is and how limited they ended up being, $35K is an absolute bargain. I’m not sure what you’re looking for a car to cost lol
35k is not an affordable car It is *statistically* a reasonably priced car considering it costs as much as a nicely loaded out Civic and Accord lol, yeah I know I’m taking the Accord but impressive how affordable they made these cars considering the market turning from 12 thousand dollar Fiesta STs which I loved mine, now to where I can’t even get a SRT* Durango for less than 38 and that’s a 2018 Dodge that can be stolen as easy as a Kia lmao

I had a red 2014 Ford Focus with a 2.0L engine that delivered an impressive 43 mpg. At the time, the only turbo option was the ST, but I opted for the automatic transmission to make my daily commute through DMV traffic more manageable. It was quick, fun to drive, and my monthly payments were incredibly affordable. I loved having SiriusXM radio for all the comedy shows while navigating some of the worst roads around.
