I Have a Pard 008 on a Ruger10/22, I’ve no shims. But I’ve followed the directions on the video today. However as I didn’t have any shims I had to improvise. We did have a steel tape measure that had stopped retracting. The steel tape is ideal. It’s easy to snap at the correct size, and is obviously thin and very hard. My 008 took 5 pieces under the back and 1 piece on the solid side. Managed to find zero with X-11 and Y-6. Many thanks for the very helpful video.
Well done mate! Very clearly explained. Worked like a charm. I used a hairspray can and it all set now. The principle does work on a usual scope as well. Thumbs up! Thanks a lot! Maybe you want to check if there is excess of the shims in the notches of the mount itself after mounting. I had to cut the crumbled spots of the shims to make sure it does fit correctly and is well alined with the grooves.
This is by far the best video explaining the way to nn optically zero your scope. I have the arken zulus and will be doing this as soon as i get a chance.
I followed these instructions and I was very happy when I was able to get perfect zero by shimming alone. The only unfortunate downside is that now my lazer splash is now up in the very top of the right hand corner of my screen? I know that you can reposition the range finder cursor to where the splash is, but is there anyway to get the actual splash back to a more central position on the screen? Really appreciate you posting this easy to understand video, many thanks... Billy.
@airgunhunteru.k.2600 Thankyou very much for the super fast reply. I suppose I'll just have to be happy with it's position as the more important part is achieving the zero without having to max out the X and Y on the settings. Once again, thankyou very much 👍
Having same problems mate to low and far to the left I’ve managed to sort the height out with the he shims the 008s comes with either gonna buy there new pard mt3 quick detach mount or just sell my 008 and get the arken zulus with the 0moa I just really need help what do you think I should do
I still have a pard 008p on the R10 and have heavily shimmed it using the above process and genuinely love it but pard 008 vs Zulus isn’t even a competition mate! Zulus pisses all over the pard
@@airgunhunteru.k.2600 reximex ixia what’s your Facebook mate I’ll message you Garry Rhodes I have been speaking to gonna try shimming it because he said the pard is not central

Mine is shooting waaay up and to the right with both shims used in the rear I literally had to max out both x and y both at 300 up and over to the right what do you think of that is there a way to center the crosshair it’s all stuck up in the corner.. probably not right ? rifle is a fx dream tact compact in 22 with all ballistics added in properly
Why not use the inbuilt zero. Isn’t that why it’s there? You used it eventually for the last few “clicks” So what’s the advantage? If you move to another gun it’s all different shims and a whole new hassle.
Because the cross hair on these units does not centre once zeroed so your crosshair can be very drastically off to the side of the screen Doing this helps keep it near centre

Do you have a link for the shim pack? Thanks for any reply 👍🏻
Unfortunately not mate, another alternative that works fantastic is to cut some slithers of a coke can and stack them mate

Take the shims out and see where it shoots
Which do you prefer arken zulus or pard 008s lrf
Zulus hands down!
nice

No need to shim...just buy a zb lite pro universal mount and zero the mount like you would a normal scope...cross hair always stays centred..
