I’d installed the LRF software onto my mk1 (2019) 008, all good but lost the use of the red dot laser Not a problem until I recently fitted the 008 onto an fx wildcat with a stupid-tall scope rail !! I managed to do away with the pard scope mount to lower the pard a fair bit (machined a slot into the fx picatinny rail) and mounted the 008 directly onto the rifle without the pard mount. Works well, but still has 65mm barrel to scope centre, which causes quite steep holdover for close range ratting. I wanted to use the red dot laser as a tool to help learn the holdover on this gun, but it had the red dot disabled in favour of PIP which I don’t use… Then I found your video which explained how to deactivate pip and reactivate the red dot Very pleased … many thanks !

Yes as there is NO mention of this fact anywhere. My next mod will involve upgrading that laser to one with much better optics as the beam loses cohesion rapidly as the lens is a nasty piece of chinesium crap.
I just bought the nv008p from Blackwood Outdoors, which came with the laser working already. If you take yours apart again I'd be interested in some better quality video / photo's of the LRF part and where it connects to the main processor board, as was wondering if you could interface or convert an off the shelf range finder to work with the pard as the software part appears to be in the nv008p. Looks like possibly 4 wires coming from your unit from what I could make out, two I'd say are power and the other two could be some kind of serial comms or perhaps trig / echo type arrangement like on the arduino ultrasonic range detectors.
One of the newer mods is to realign the LRF so that the range range finders "dot" lands more central on the screen as they seem to be offset. When iv'e done some more digging i'll up that video.
Bought a nv008p lrf this weekend. Had her apart today to plug in red dot. Those cap head screws are made of cheese and must be lock tited in as take some breaking free. Need a good quality hex key 👍 No gasket to seal case either which was surprising, better keep dry! Intermittently the range finder has not worked at below 50 metres, the WiFi antenna was flapping around inside on a piece of double sided tape (backing still on) that had not been attached. This has a fair bit of exposed solder which could have been shorting inside on case or boards. So far the issue has not reappeared. Typical Chinese gadget quality 🤦♂️not inspiring but good value.
I didn't see any threadlock on mine but they are soft and i have to agree, a good quality hex driver is a must. Rounding those off would be easy. Yes, my antenna was also flapping around. No issues with the range finder but i am going to realign the IR marker more central. I'll post that when i do it. Also, yeah, build quality is acceptable but compared to the likes of Yukon / Pulsar, it is sadly WAY behind. Still, mine is soley for use on my 11.7Ft lbs pop gun hw100.#

My pard 008p lrf has an error. I've only been using it for 5 months, but the screen image is gone, but for everything it's normal, like menu, ir, rf everything is normal, can you help me,please 🙏
Agreed. It wouldn't be so bad if they actually pointed it out on the literature. I use a red dot for 10mtr on my popgun hw100 and to then have it all in one unit was great, i spent hours trying to find out why. That's why i was determined to reactivate mine but i'll wager a future firmware upgrade kills it!!! Save that current firmware now! ;-)
