@ I also bought that camera before a month and I am so happy because I carry it with me everyday in a tiny porch. It’s so great. Noise isn’t such a big deal today with denoising in Lightroom today.
I think with this type of camera, you have to change the way how you shoot quite a bit. What I see in you images is, that you try to shoot it, like you would on your fullframe but there you're style is influenced by using a shallow DOF. Thats not what the RX100VII can give you and so the images look like there is something missing. But here is the thing, think more of editorial shots where you shoot apertures of F8 or 10. You have to think a little bit more, when the fore- and background are getting in focus together. It's a different way of composition. I don't wan't to stop you in doing what you do, but maybe think about tweaking your style a bit, to get this little camera into beast mode. ✌
Thats interesting. Didnt think about it this way 🤔 That makes sense because I usually shoot on prime lenses as well. For me I dont ever clearly see “my style”. Its an ever dynamic thing I believe. Using this camera has definitely affected how I shoot even with my full frame camera. The more I use it the more things change organically. Id be interested to see what you think of the next video/set of images. I wonder if “my style” has changed enough 🤔
It can give you dof It’s all about distance between the subject and the zoom range Obviously not as good as full frame but it is actually good enough if you know how to use it
I am shooting manual mode and constantly adjusting the settings as needed. RAW, Adobe RGB, Aperture as wide as possible and iso as low as possible. I did a whole webinar with Sony and B&H diving deeper if you want to check that out: th-cam.com/users/liveAB6xyS-zrI8?si=sYvdvVLRlMojG9iL
I am hoping to nudge them in that direction. They are sponsoring an online 3 part series about this camera actually. So I am hopeful. Especially if the series we are making is received well. Stay tuned for that. I am also working on another video doing travel content with it… coming soon :)
There's no need for a new camera because there's nothing to improve. The images are still better than any modern smartphone. Unitl smartphone photos attempt to touch Sony RX100 M7 there's no use to upgrade.
@@theperfectkingcake4374 There are a few things I would still love to see, like USB-C, and support for the new app for example. I get that this camera is great, but it could be even better if they implemented some of today's technology.
hi maher..am actually a beginner level photographer and i used to do mobile photography, but due to its limited features am not able to capture the shots that i want, so while i was looking for a compact camera i found this one and sony zv1 mark 2 which was released last year. so what i wanted to ask you one question. This camera is released in 2019, so buying this camera now, would it be a right option compared to zv1 mark 2 regarding menu or some settings or touch sensitivity and all. doesnt it make us feel outdated of technology regarding menu or touch senstivity? so basically if you want to my usage....right now am not into any particular photography, i just wanted to do everything with the camera. jus capture all the beautiful things around.
I totally see what you mean. I personally prefer this camera simply because of the range. Although its not the latest interface. Once you get used to it, its not that much of a deal breaker. I am used to using the Sony A7IV which has the latest menu, but making that sacrifice for the range, for me is worth it. especially if you want to try taking pictures of a lot of different things. Hope this helps. let me know if you have anymore questions!
Thank you so much for the review! This 5-year-old RX100 still rocks! Hope the mark 8 comes this year though! This little guy needs a USB-C, creative style, touch screen menu, all-new sensor, and the new tilting screen! Hope it's not too expensive! But I don't think that will be the case because ZV-1 II was 1.5 times more expensive than ZV-1. 😅 It seems like Sony wants to set a new price standard or something.
There is none actually on the RX100, that was an adaptor that came on it when I bought it and ended up removing it. The Sony A7IV im recording with has a polarpro variable ND filter.
@@pixiethejack Yep, I actually thought I can just put a filter on it. Then went to B&H to get a pro-mist filter and realized I need another specific piece to go ontop of this one to be able to actually use it. Hence I just removed it. Might experiment with filters again once I am back from my travels.
@@pixiethejack Let me know how it goes. Just be careful because it basically gets glued on there. I thought I almost broke the camera when I was trying to take it off.
I completely agree, but I have to make sacrifices here and there to be able to make these videos as I still dont have sponsors on this channel. Perhaps in the future I will be able to! There a few more RX100 videos cooking :)
I’m glad reviews are still coming out for this camera 5 years later 🤭
Great pictures and a gorgeous model 👍
Thank you! from both of us :)
You're an amazing photographer and have a great positive chill aittitude!

@@jbdh6510 Exactly! and I sometimes even add grain to cover the noise and gives it a nice aesthetic
I have recently got this camera and it is very versatile
Also the image quality is very great and sharp
Right?! Surprisingly at very high ISO also.

Solid video. I liked the tips on guiding the model, letting them maintain movement and flow, not breaking the energy. Great stuff
🙏🏼🫶🏼 thank you once again!!

Очень позитивное видео и полезные советы на нескучном языке!. Удачи ребят, тоже хочу купить эту Сони!)
Спасибо! Glad you found it useful :)
Hopefully Sony notices the demand for compact point and shoots again and finally release the Mark 8

Hope they don't do a mk8 yet...... only just bought the mk7

haha it is a wee bit old. Yes definitely hoping for a new one soon!
Camera is amazing MK7 shits on any phone camera. Love the size!
Yup! I havent tested it against the latest iphone but doubt its that big of a difference. Just the manual controls alone makes it worth it
What filter adapter you used in the front of the lens?

@@maherzi_ ok, I thought there was a metal stick to the outer front of the lens. Which looks like a lens adapter for filters.
