@@Tuhueleamierda1991 .. Not true. The lenses alone aren't even close. Every serious podcaster is using either a DSLR or mirrorless camera for good reasons. I'm not saying that you can't use a phone, the question is which is better especially if you have multiple cameras needed.

I have the RX100 mkV and I think that is the sweet spot with this camera. Built in 3 stop ND and a 1.8 to 2.8 Aputure. I’ll take that extra light over 200mm focal length 🙃
Always a good video. SO far I am using a pair of M50s that are soemwhere in between the point and shoot and a full frame camera. Doesn't fit in my pocket though

You should try shooting 18:9 instead of 16:9. Most people use wider displays these days :)

Considering you can use your LUTS on Sony, If you had ONE Camera which would you choose Canon or Sony? I personally went back to Canon for the color science.

I intend to use the VII for a take anywhere secondary stock photo camera and it seems to be perfect. Wish it had 4K 60 tho
Cool review. I love the eye auto focus on the Sony a6400, it even worked incredibly well on all the animals I photographed at the San Diego Zoo recently. 😄 I'll have to look into the color grading stuff you're talking about.

Put some scotch tape over the microphone holes, the wind won't rush over the holes and it will improve the audio but still not as good as a mic in a blimp.
Please make video about crazy zoom lens or pocket camera. I'm curious how far a camera can shoot

I own the older mk4 version and he does have a point. While the range of optical is better than an iPhone 11, unless doing some "real" cinematic work with it, carrying a point and shoot is a pain the in the butt. It's all about using the camera that you have on you now a days.
The size was the reason i bought the Sony A6300 - then I bought the 18-105... now it's big 😂
How do you like the 6300 so far? I'm thinking about getting it on Black Friday.
@@PixelSheep I really like it. If you are more into filmmaking I would suggest to grab an Alpha with IBIS. It's not THAT necessary though, so if you're on a budget the A6300 will work perfecly.

Tbh I've seen many classes or other likewise stuff for YT filmed on anything like iPhone XS or 11 Pro or something. Indoor shooting with a tripod and a good setup I really don't see much difference between the newer iPhone and a camera. Just if it could help :)
Honestly any modern flagship smartphone will shoot video that just as good in a controlled environment with good lighting. The reason why the quality is bad is probably because of bad lighting, you should master lighting techniques before upgrading your camera. If you are upgrading for better quality, you might as well go all out such as an A7III, A7IV or even A7SIII. If you don’t want to spend full-frame money, then get the A6100, A6400, or a6600 depending on your budget of course. I think interchangeable lens camera will be a better option just in case you want to change up your setup in the future.

The battery life is terrible and I mean diabolical. You will need carry spares, the lense cover is fragile, It overheats quickly in anything above 1080. Sony are aware of this issue it credits all camera. Cant see if itrecording and it stops when it gets hot with no warning.. functionality is expensive example slow Motion £7.99. SD card is in base so have to take shoe off to remove. Focus ring drags on tripod. Head. Menu system is very complex and stuff you need is hard to find. Loads buttons that have multiple uses assigned. you need.need Sony own account to buy camera functionalities. Will never buy another Sony product or camera from review.
In LA right now, capturing a lot of footage. it’s very nice, I thought I would see more arri Alexa’s on 50,000 gimbals with 5 boom mics dangling down, but glad to be in your home town.

Calvin Hicks you use a micro USB connector. Best to use a separate device for sound like zoom h5. Don't buy this camera. It's over priced and flawed and a pay to use device.check out proper reviews and the app reviews. WiFi connection awful, NFC tag does nothing
So..my S10+ shoots 4K 60fps with better stabilization, has Full HD SUPER STABLE mode which is basically like a gimble, has a pro mode, has a night mode, has 3 different lenses from 2x optical zoom up to 123° ultra-wide angle, 2 appertures fron f/1.5 to f/2.4,shoots 240fps full HD slow-mo and short bursts of 960fps, and is one of the best phones in the world with all the features, and costs 1000$, why tf would i buy this camera for 1199$?

I love the RX100 VII but it is essential to add a bracket with finger grip and cold shoes, plus a stick-on 52mm filter thread which enables ND filters or a wide angle lens. With these add-ons the camera becomes awesome. A threaded 52mm filter stick-on is far better than the magnetic version. Too easy for things to get knocked off the magnets - no such problem for screwing the item onto a thread.
Which ND filter do you recommend ?
