I followed your recipe for foaming sugar scrub and it was lovely. Here was your recipe: 64 oz (1814g) Melt & Pour Foaming Bath Butter base, 2 oz (57g) Preservative (Optiphen), 7 oz (198g) Avocado Oil, 3 oz (85g) F.O. (use proper IFRA %), 64 oz (1814g) Cane Sugar
I made it, but I didn't used that much of sugar, so it stay créame. "Oh boy" like Mrs. Ellen say. I love it!!! My skin is soooo soft, I also made it with apricot shells with Almond oil for my face, "Oh boy" my face is in another "level". THANK YOU MRS. ELLEN AGAIN THANK YOU.😊
I have a small 2 lb pkg of that base. I think I'll make these for Christmas gifts. Thanks for the recipe! I sell soap and candles but I always hesitate adding products because my workspace is so dang small. Oh and I think if you put a damp cloth under those jars you might have an easier time with filling them. Thanks again Ellen!
how crazy... watching the video and I check where is this Morouge Canada... why it's 20 mins from my house and I had never heard of this supplier! I usually go to New Directions Aromatics over an hour away... thanks ever so much for THAT tip!! ps - your bubbly personality is always a breath of fresh air... peace from Oakville Ontario!
I have searched the internet over and I cannot find an answer to my question; I'm hoping you can help. Does a light a fluffly whipped soap get as many uses/ washes as a dense whipped soap. I have two batches, same formula, one fits 7 oz in the 8 oz jar, the other only fit 6 oz in the 8 oz jar. The one that fits 7 oz only filled 4 jars. The one that fit 6 oz filled 5 jars. Will they get the same amount of washes if used in the same increments ie. half teaspoon each time? BTW, thanks for another great video!
You will have to let us know if the dry coffee grounds worked well or if they pull the moisture from the scrub. As always thank you for sharing it looks very lovely. 😊
Oh, I hope the drying of the grounds work well for you. But such a great product it is fine, but I suppose we are particular for our customers! Cheers & Blessings 👍💕
Hi, I love watching your videos. What brand is base from I got the crystal clear melt and pour from wholesale supply and it didn’t work like yours did, mines was liquid.
I am so obsessed with everything you do and I have been binge watching all you videos for two weeks now.. you are amazing and so talented! 2ould you do a skincare video? Your face is flawless, I'm turning 39 this year and could use any and all advice
Ellen, I hope you and your family are well. I was wondering if you've made a video to replace the bulk melt and pour with one of your own or a basic household items recipe? If you have, forgive me because I've looked but haven't been able to find it. Again, thank you for your simple but beautiful videos.
Great video! I love coffee and I bet it feels and smells amazing! What are the measurements for your labels? Can you do a video on how you make them? They looks so professional.
Hi. Loads of love for u ❤. I never knew that a whipped soap base can be created from m&p goat milk soap. I’m so excited u have found out a solution. Actually a foaming bath soap base is not available at my place. U have told about optiphen. May I know which one coz optiphen plus is also here. Stay Blessed 🙏
Thank you for sharing us this amazing recipe , I have made this body scrub it was soo good but the colour change after a few days , what do you think the mistake is? I send the picture in your instagram. ❤
Hi Ellen, thank you for your videos. This may be a silly question, but when cutting a recipe in half, do you have to do anything special to the formula or can you just divide it by 2??? Thanks
Can the Optiphen be used for liquid hand soaps that I put in foaming soap dispensers? The one I have has worked fine but it's such a small amount and I'm not sure if I can get larger bottles. I'm hoping to make up a bunch to give as Christmas gifts. I always wonder if liquid soaps, because they use a lot of water, can use different kinds of preservatives.
Espectacular!!!!
Sorry Ellen, I forgot to ask if this formula stays the same/keeps its integrity during the summer months or is this formula only suitable for winter months?
Hello from Greece! I would like you tell me what percentage I van use in oil or butter, as a preservative in whipped soap? I await an immediate reply Thank you very much!!

You are so welcome! And thanks for watching🥰
I made some a couple weeks ago with bramble berry and it smells amazing ♥️♥️
I also have to use up what I have. But I'm really holding my breath for the diy.
Yes, me too❣️

Thanks for the "damp cloth" tip, that's a great idea!
I"m getting hungry watching this! Lovely recipe. thank you!
I use an extra large ziploc (Target brand)bag to pipe my sugar scrubs. Works great and holds a lot more scrub at a time.
Great tip!💕
In the same boat. Have to use what I have first. New batch from scratch. Great video.
Yup, call me old-fashioned, but I've gotta use up what I have first🤣❣️
Love it! I’m definitely gonna make this

This is so funny. I was just searching scrubs and was just gonna click your last one and this popped up. Looks amazing as usual. 💕
Perfect timing 💕❣️

They worked out great, no bleeding color and a gentle exfoliating feel👍❣️

It did work well, and the extra step wasn't that much trouble...😉

Here is the kind I'm using in this video: amzn.to/43TJjLj

I'm was just looking at making some sugar scrub and this recipe looks so good. Thank you Ellen.❤️
It's really good, hope you give it a try💕

Oooo yummm. Though I dont like the taste of coffee. I do love the smell. I cant wait to see your all homemade version. Ty for sharing! 🦄💖🦄💖🦄
Hi Mrs Ellen! This is such an amazing recipe, I’m gonna try it soon! May I ask what size are the labels for the 8 oz jar?
They’re 1.5x5”
Hi Ellen! Beautiful scrub 👍☕
☕️💕❣️

They're 1.5 x 5" labels.
Ellen love you should invest in a filling machine fills alot of items I found one for you on sale
Those look yummy!
Coffee all the time!

Optiphen plus will also work in this formula
OMG I’m drooling 🤤
It smells Sooooo good!
Omg beautiful as always, looks so thick and creamy very expensive looking xx
Thanks so much 😊
Thankyou Ruth, love watching you make such beautiful products ☺️ have you ever had whip soap deflate during shipping or sitting for period of time?
I have not had them deflate with the sugar additive. I've seen plain whipped soaps fall...
thanks for the video i ordered the coffee fragrance
You’ll love it, it’s just so good❣️
Beautiful scrub❤
Thank you 😊☕️
Thank you for sharing us this amazing recipe , I have made this body scrub it was soo good but the colour change after a few days , what do you think the mistake is? I send the picture in your instagram. ❤
There could be several things going on, like the fragrance with heavy vanillin, or what color you're using...
And a brother vc-500w label make waterproof and worth it
Hi Ellen, thank you for your videos. This may be a silly question, but when cutting a recipe in half, do you have to do anything special to the formula or can you just divide it by 2??? Thanks
Not a silly question at all. This recipe is fine to just cut in half or quarter....👍
What brand is your melt and pour ? This isn’t the usual whipped soap base I’ve seen - what is the difference- I love your channel 😊
Here's a link for the one I'm using: www.bulkapothecary.com/product/make-it/soap-making/melt-and-pour-soap-bases/foaming-bath-butter-crystal-opc/
@@EllenRuthSoap yes but this isn’t the melt and pour like you had in the video
I love that yours is as messy as mine when you make it - It really gets everywhere :)
It is a messy process, but so worth it❣️

I haven't made a liquid soap formula, so I'm not sure. Bramble Berry has good info on Optiphen
Did you ever make the home made base recipe?
Not yet, but it's coming💕

A hand mixer works great for this project. And it's shelf stable for a year after making.
@@EllenRuthSoap thank you, thank.

I’ve had no issues with shipping in the warmer months, it’s pretty stable.
Great clip, as usual! What is the shelf life of such a scrub?
I suggest using with in a year.
Thank you!
Hello from Greece!
I would like you tell me what percentage I van use in oil or butter, as a preservative in whipped soap?
I await an immediate reply
Thank you very much!!
The recipe is in the description box.
@@EllenRuthSoap I know that there is a recipe in the description, but I asked you one think and you answered another, but that's okay
how do you create your ingredient list for your label when you are using a soap base?
You can either write out all the base ingredients, or simply write "soap base"
Do you have a recipe without the premade soap base to share?
Not yet, but I'm working on it 👍
Do you think I can get the same results with the foaming bath base?
I would read up an the base that you have, if it's a "whipped" type of base then yes, it'll work.
Just wondering why you used sunflower oil. Other recipes you make whipped soap scrub you,use a different carrier oil.
You could use the liquid oil of your choice 😉
Hey there. What size labels are those?
They are 1.5x5”
What can you use instead of soap base? a bar of CP ?
I have not made this without a whip soap base yet... I'm working on a formula for a video coming in the near future😉
Can I use regular soap based for This?
Regular Melt and Pour soap base won't whip, it has to be a whip base.
Can I use vanilla if I don’t have coffee fragrance oil.
No, using cooking vanilla isn't recommended for skin care products.
Wow! New sub here! I recently made a Latte on my page too and *your dish looks amazing!* Hope to stay connected! 😄
Welcome, thanks for watching ❣️
Can you use this with oatmeal
I haven't tried that, but I think it would be fine.
@@EllenRuthSoap Thanks I’m definitely gonna try it.
