Hi Ellen, I’m so glad you’re still going to stay on with soaping. I’ve never replied to any of your videos, but I have to tell you that you are my favorite. I’ve been watching for about a year and your tops on my list. Take care.
Thank you so much!🛁
@@EllenRuthSoap my husband has multiple Myoloma I know how stressful it can be . Bless your family .
I hope whomever receives these beautiful products that you make understands how incredibly blessed they are. I miss your website!
Thank you! They were gifted to a couple of new Moms.💝
I love your bath salts, I bet they smell so good! 💞
Note that anyone with blood pressure issues should never soak in dead sea salt!
The butterfly pea flowers should turn the water blue 💙 too 😊
It's so diluted in a tub full, but that would be pretty🛁
That bottle.... Stunning!!! I just love glass alcohol bottles they are all so unique and beautiful. The salts are very pretty. ❤️
Yes! I love to recycle beautiful bottles💕
I just found a similar bottle at my local grocery! I snatched it up! :Not the same brand; because of the top! I found it the it the night after I saw this video!! Lol!

❤❤❤
That wine bottle is really nice!! You did a great job with the inspiration of the day. 🌹
Thanks so much! 😊🛁
I love butterfly pea flowers and use them for facial serums. You can get a beautiful blue to pink or even purple depending on the ph. Anyhow the salts are amazing and that wine bottle is stunning, omg. Ellen for years I refused to wrap my products. Lesson learned the hard way. Don’t even want to remember. It’s a must!
I'm loving the pea flowers, they are so pretty!🛁
Ellen, I made this without the foo foo flower bit, this stuff is really like you said luxurious
Thanks for sharing. My next project I think.
It's so easy and fun🛁
Watch the Pea Flower buds. Too many will turn the bathwater blue. Don't ask me how I know.... just trust me. lol
You can hang the tea bag around the bottle's neck! Just an idea 😊❤
Congrats to you, dearest Ellen on 100K subscribers❤🎉
Love from Pretoria, South Africa 🇿🇦 ❤️
Thank you so much🥰💝
Ciao ti seguo dall'Italia.
Looks gorgeous. Bet it smells even better. For me, the description box is in the line that says how many views the video has. It just says 'more'.
this is a great recipe! a lot of people may question the buttermilk but its absolutely fine! youre great!
Thanks so much! 😊
@@EllenRuthSoap ur very welcome! I told my daughter when she came today I was sending her your recipe! I told her it was full of nourishing milk, oats and wonderful salts!! if anyone doesn't know (which I know u do) centuries ago milk baths was a luxury and people pay lots of money today! nature has so much to offer with endless possibilities! hope things are going well for u & yours... 😍
I just have to say Ellen you are so beautiful and have beautiful skin! I ljust found your channel today because I have been making my own sugar scrub and I have been watching all day.
Thank you so much! Glad you found me💕
beautiful. i love to use recycled items. i mean why waste? smart people will respect and appreciate the recycling. :) well done!
Thank you! 😊
A mesh soap saver bag would work well too
Great suggestion👍🛁
I use to buy new wine/alcohol if I liked the bottle...found some really good stuff!! Hubby is now sober for a little over two years, so don't buy stuff like I use too. lol I love all your stuff!! Can you switch the buttermilk for Goats Milk? I can't wait to try this!! Thanks @EllenRuthSoap ❤❤❤
Yes, you can use the milk powder of choice👍
@@EllenRuthSoap One last thing.....could you add kaolin clay to this?
Just an FYI, if you have a shrink band too big make it smaller by using a manual sealer, like you’d use for shrink wrap bags on soap, then it would if on smaller products and you’d still have the other perforated side 🤷🏼♂😅
Great suggestion, thanks❣️
Love your videos! A few seconds of your personality is what got me to stay and eventually subscribe. You’re so down to earth and just real. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful creations. May God bless you abundantly!
Regarding this recipe, I have everything but the milk powder. Can I make it without it? If so, would I add more colloidal oats to make up for it? How would altering the recipe impact the fragrance ratio? Thank you so much!
Thank you❣️. Yes, you can skip the milk powder and add a touch more oats or another dry ingredient.
@@EllenRuthSoap Thanks. How much would a “touch more” be? Another 50-100 grams?
@@HelpForDailyLiving Yes👍
Regarding baking soda, it is irritating to your skin when it's in contact with skin in higher concentrations in things like a deodorant, but in a bath there is so much water to dilute the baking soda it'd be unlikely to cause irritation.
Doing bath salts sounds so interesting. I know there is a soap calculator determining ratios when you make cold process soap, but I'm curious if there's a calculator when doing other things like salts, Bath bombs, etc.?
From what I understand the manufacturer of the fragrance oils and essential oils gives you information on each oil and what they can be used in and the amount.
Because there's no chemical reaction or process to bath salts, it's pretty flexible on ratios...🛁
Excellent video Ellen,
Good work
I visited your website. There were no products listed
I’m no longer selling retail.
This looks beautiful! My biggest hesitation in making bath salts is that they absorb moisture. Do you ever find the need to use Natrasorb? Or is the dendritic salt enough?
I've been very happy with how the dendritic salt works, and haven't had an issue with moisture👍
Hello, lovely video! Does anyone happen to know what we in Europe can use instead of dendritic salt? As far as I know we don’t get it here. Thanks in advance 😊
A fine grind quality Sea Salt can be used as a sub.
Are you still selling you items if you don't have a website? You have been a great inspiration for me.
I don't sell retail any longer..
What are you going to do with all the Soaps that you're making in these videos
@@TheTalkingTreeEmporium I'm making much smaller batches, and sharing with friends, family and donating.
What if you cut the plastic seal in half for the wine bottle..
Hello Ellen. I have a question. If polysorbate 80 is not used, would the fragrance oil sit on the surface of the water?
Yes, that is a possibility. But it's such a small amount, I don't think it would float around too much..
What is the wine please. I want to try. I love wine. Thank you for you.
This is the one, but the bottle looks a bit different now: Gérard Bertrand Cote Des Roses
Could you add mica for color?
Yes, as long as it's designated skin safe👍
Could I substitute the buttermilk powder for goat milk powder? Thank you for this recipe!
Yes you can!👍🛁
Thank you so much for your response.@@EllenRuthSoap
Beautiful! How much of salts do you think is gonna give a great bath?
It's a personal choice, but I like to put 1/2-1 C per bath personally🛁
@@EllenRuthSoap thanks
Is rhere another option for dendritic salt?
Any fine grind salt will do👍
I watched a video of yours tonight on bath salts and you used polysorbate 80. Is there a reason why it's not in this one?
This formula has less liquid ingredients 😉
@@EllenRuthSoap Thank you!
I make my own because I can’t have perfume
What is the name of the wine?
Bertrand Cote Des Roses Rose
@@EllenRuthSoap thank you. I love roses.
Hi Ellen, I recently wernt to your werbsite and it shows no products to purchase... are you strictly now into teaching soapmaking or will you be back again doing markets and selling on your website? Thanks!
Yes, I no longer sell products. Just YT tutorials.
They look like expensive products.
those tiny scent samples are $15USD, which is insanely expensive.
Are you concerned about the toxins found in oats? I stopped making and pulled all my honey oat soap because of it.
No, it's not a concern of mine... But this would be great without oats in it too🛁
Ellen, you could tie a bag on the neck of your bottle.
Yes🛁💕
