Two years ago, I had for free in a Chinese store near here something for Christmas and a smile from the Chinese woman. The Chinese people here always smile when I speak to them in Chinese mandarin, I like that and I normally when I watch Chinese dramas on TH-cam I always disable the English subtitles. I write my diary in Chinese mandarin and I am thinking writing a song in Chinese one day...

You are very smart and a very good inspiration to me and other people. I'm so glad you not a cocky person like some other people on TH-cam, and that's why I love your channel.
Japanese is easier at first, but gets harder and harder. Chinese is the opposite. It starts off hard and gets easier. Overall, Japanese is harder because advanced grammar in Japanese is very hard.

The comment you made at the end of the video about how "most people just don't want to give up their free time" is so so so true for me. That;s right. It's never easy, but hard work always pays off. Never give up.
I thought you were going to sing "I got bubble tea" Blue's Clues "We just got a letter" style and then say...
Wonder where it's from? 😜
So many people got that obscure reference. lol I'm surprised you knew it.
@@OrientalPearl Thanks again for responding to me. I'm a 90's kid so I had the best childhood of cartoons and music. 💞
@@Diana_Fire as a 2k4 kid, I gotta agree yall got the best childhood
Congrats to you Anming for what you are able to do - connect to others in a foreign dialect with such authenticity and sincerity! Always find your videos so fascinating and enjoyable hearing you speak and watching people’s responses. Keep up the great work!
Thanks so much! I'm really glad that so many people love and enjoy these videos!
Yes, they really love to hear people making an effort to learn their language. You can make friends really easily learning Chinese.
@@OrientalPearl one time I noticed the Chinese man in the store didn't speak Portuguese then I spoke to him in Chinese mandarin to be more easily and he smiled. I love smiles but because of the coroanavirus that stores are closed yet.
Another lovely video, makes me feel very happy during these tough times, thanks. I live in Scotland and things are getting a lot better. Warm greetings and much love from Scotland...
Hey Scotland. I hope things get better too.
你太牛逼了吧!會説中文和日文
9:48 THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU'VE EVER SAID.
Thank you..... it is worth the focus, the dedication, the purpose and vision and ambition.....when you later reap the rewards of your effort.
You are an inspiration to others and it is well deserved.
Love all your content. Please keep it up.
Hi Anming, very inspirational video today. Loved it. I'm going to work in Portugal in a few years. Thank you for the positive vibes. You are so humble as always. Have a great week.
Love your video, and a great message too. Always get something new to learn everyday after watched your video. Inspiring!
Alyssa, this was one of your best videos that I've seen. You're an inspiring young woman. I guess people say that natives appreciate the effort no matter what level you are at with learning their language.
Thanks so much Jeff. I hope it inspires people to work hard and learn the languages they've always wanted to know.
I like your messages in your videos. It's also cool that you make everyone laugh.
I’ve been watching many of your videos and they are so amazing it’s like we’re all goin on an adventure with you and the fact that you make people happy just by speaking their native language is cool❤️
Such wholesome videos keep on making these videos and stay safe :)
That's so much. You are welcome to join the adventure anytime.
OMG I love your videos! Actually I started to learn Chinese and you motivated me so much! It's so nice that Chinese people react so positive if you are speaking Chinese :) That's the best motivation for me, because I really like Chinese people :))
Yes, it truly is awesome. And amazing. And fun to watch the reactions. She said she wasn't giving you free food because of your Chinese, it was because you're cute. You're getting compliments from every direction. When I subscribed a couple months ago, you had less than ten thousand subscribers. Now look. I can't wait until you hit that 100,000 mark (and you will).
Thanks for being here for so long. You are one of the veterans because this channel really just started at the end of February. It's been fun. Let's see where it goes from here.
YOU ARE AWESOME! YOUR CHINESE LANGUAGE ABILITY IS GREAT. HOPE TO SEE YOUR NEXT VIDEO...THANKS.
Thank you! 😃 I just filmed the new one today.
@@OrientalPearl EXCELLENT. CAN'T WAIT TO WATCH. I ALREADY SUBSCRIBED YOUR CHANNEL, HOPE TO GET THE UPDATE SOON. BY THE WAY, YOU ARE VERY BEAUTIFUL.-- FROM BOSTON, MA USA.
the intro is so positive! it really gets you wanting to speak chinese, especially always seeing you have such friendly conversations with locals and seeing how much fun you have.
You could do it too. If you want it, go for it.
Oriental Pearl I definitely am going to attempt after I learn Portuguese! I’m actually picking up on random mandarin words when watching you now 😄
I just love your personality. I can watch you all day.
Another great video and glad you got free food for just being you Thankyou Anming
Dear Oriental Pearl, yes please, that would be very interesting to see some advanced Chinese and Japanese videos on this channel. Absopositively liked!
Ok! Coming up soon!
She is very talented and speaks well Japanese......I am Japanese but only have 6th grade knowledge of kanji writing and starting to forget a bit since I was raised in Southern California....so watching her encourages me......great job.
The comment you made at the end of the video about how "most people just don't want to give up their free time" is so so so true for me. For months I've chosen to watch Netflix or re-watch TH-cam videos I've already seen, instead of studying Korean which is my language of choice, when I just want to be able to do what you do. I really admire your language speaking abilities and the hard work it took to get there and it inspires me to study more. Love your content! Keep being you!
Let's hit the books :)
@@OrientalPearl I actually have been the last few days and your videos have inspired me to get back into it, because I really want to be fluent and communicate like you can with others, myself. Thank you!
This video was soooo cute! Their entire demeanor changed once you broke out the mandarin! These videos make me want to learn mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, etc so bad. I should just start somewhere.
It really warmed my heart seeing you speak their language. It's like a breath of fresh air for them. You can tell they were super happy seeing a foreigner speak their language. I love your videos!
Thanks so much! I like to make people smile.
Great content. In this video, how to touch hearts of strangers regardless of language. Coming across as friendly, polite and humble. Really enjoyed it. I Look forward to the next video.
Thank you so much. I just filmed a new really good one today. I hope everyone likes it.
Oriental Pearl You’re welcome. :-)
I caught that blues clues reference when you got the bubble tea at 5:34. The unmistakable Blues Clues letter tune! x3 I love your channel and your mission!
You are a language rock star! Your videos are very interesting and entertaining, and your video editing skills are excellent. Keep up the great work!
Wow, thank you! I'm very new to editing.
Everybody in these videos are always so sweet, it'd be cool to meet more people like that. I'm trying to learn Japanese on my own because I eventually want to go to Japan and attend a language school
That's so cool that you want to come to language school. Find one that is focused on spoken Japanese not test--based Japanese. Many of the school just train students to pass a test. Look carefully otherwise you may pick the wrong type and be disappointed like I was.
@@OrientalPearl yeah I found one already! I just need to save up up enough money before I can actually start the application process. Hopefully within the next year or 2, I'll be there
You make speaking these languages look so easy and it's so impressive. Your the best.😊😊😊
Hello From Turkey I just want to say that you are great at doing what you do. Your tips and advices and the way you talk everything is so positive thank you. I am learning Japanese and about to start Chinese also. Keep making videos. You are the best I mean. Thank you.
Thank you Turkey!
Oriental Pearl thank you for making wonderful videos. Keep doing them. Please be safe and careful.
Agree, reading and writing Chinese is totally different ball game. Also agree that you gave up lot of your time study the language and even went to university in china. Keep inspiring people and making us laugh by your Pranks lol.
You've worked very long n hard to get where you are. I love the way you can switch from Chinese to Japanese, literally in the same sentence. You are very talented, even if you don't admit it yourself. Love watching your streams.😘
Thanks so much! It's be a long road, but a fun one too.
Anming, you are a real credit to yourself and your family. What a polygot and the people really appreciated your ability to speak without any accent. Wow, I can only speak Mandarin and would love to pick up Japanese and also Spanish and Dutch mainly for hockey as I am a hockey player and coach. Perhaps you should get your country's leaders to do likewise instead of being narrow minded. Keep the wonderful videos coming as for me it is a must watch every week. Love it and hope when the corona virus is over you can shoot over to China and meet up with Li Zhiqi and do a video together and I am sure your subscribers will shoot into the million mark.
I've seen a few of her videos. She's really incredibly famous in China and outside of China too.
@@OrientalPearl Yes, I know you mentioned it previously but if you visit her and have a chat with her or even get to sample her cooking, I can guarantee that overnight you will also be subscribed by her subscribers and you will reach a million subscribers no worries. Such is life. She has ten million followers and sometimes twelve or fifteen million viewers. She apparently earns about one million US per annum from having such a large viewer base. She is also incredibly kind as she donated a huge sum of money to fight the pandemic by purchasing ventilators, masks, etc.
Love the reactions, I'm addicted to your channel, makes me want to study Chinese too
Then the videos were worth making!
Thank you for your advice. I am trying to learn Chinese, and I know that learning any new language requires consistency. I am really happy to get motivation to keep learning Chinese everyday. Who knows maybe in a few months later, I can speak Chinese then jump to learn Japanese as I love Japan also.
Yes! I saw your videos and I've been studying Japanese for a week now. It's been very hard but also amazing how much I've learned. Never thought I could learn another language after failing at French in high school. The journey seems daunting but I hope I can continue. It would be incredible to communicate with people like you do.
I love the virtual journeys with the pearl. it's so exciting. Thanks for that. 🙏🏼
LOVE your content!!! Every time I watch one of your videos I get so envious. I love that you can speak both Chinese and Japanese so fluently. I know that you always say that your Japanese is not as good as your Chinese, but I am a Japanese American born in Okinawa and raised in California and over the years my Japanese has become somewhat lazy and when I hear you speaking my native language I feel a bit inadequate and realize that I need to practice my conversational Japanese to regain what I am clearly losing. (shameful, I know). I need to go visit my mom so I can brush up on my Nihongo! You are a Gem!
Thanks so much! I hope you learn Chinese too ;)
Loving the videos. It’s absolutely true that anyone can do it. I have only studied for three levels at university level and am working to test advanced high ACTFL this summer, but nothing compares to the way people’s faces light up when you speak their language to them!
I love the part where their faces light up too! That's the best feeling.
Inspirational! "People don't want to give up their freedom." GOOD POINT!! Right on the money!! Love your videos! Keep it up!
The truth had to be said lol. It's easier to say "I'm no good. I can't do it" than to make big time sacrifices.
I am my biggest enemy!!!!, wisdom right there!! thanks for the encouragement! I speak spanish and english and would reallly love to learn Mandarin and Japanese at some point, I have already began with Japenese, you are a huge inspiration thanks!!!
Love your videos! So fun, sweet and inspirational.
This video left me with a big grin on my face. Those interactions were too cute! And the motivation, every time I finish watching your videos I put in an extra quick language study to my day. You're great!
I signed up for the ChineseClass101. Thanks for the recommendation!
I'm so glad that you gave it a chance!
I love your videos so much! They continue to inspire me to continue learning Japanese day after day. I can't get enough of showing your videos to my friends hahaha. Greetings from Campo Grande / Brazil!
Thanks so much Brazil!
You finally doing the promotion links!! good on you!!
Yeah, I don't think people noticed that they have been there the entire time.
I just love love love love love your personality and way of thinking!! You make the videos just to make people smile, to inspire others, and it's simply heartwarming! Instant fan here~
All the love from an aspiring polyglot from the Philippines!
Hello Philippines. I'm so glad that you joined! Welcome to the channel. I enjoyed the Philippines when I went there last year.
@@OrientalPearl oh wow you've even visited here? It's great to know you enjoyed it here! Is it mainly because of the hot weather? Haha, I saw in your video that you aren't so fond of the cold
I really appreciate your opening message. This was a random youtube suggest that I like for once.
Thanks for watching Jim. I'm really glad that TH-cam finally got it right. Please stick around and watch some more videos. I made 62 of them.
Inspired and motivated I feel. Thank You for the positive vibe!! You are awesome : )
