There’s an option when I make my alarm to even give a snooze button when my alarm goes off. So, I just say stop alarm and go back to sleep. But my phone is on the other side of the room. 🤷🏼♀️
@bis225 Lol! Same here. And mine was a sunrise alarm that lit up 30 minutes before and got brighter over the 30 minutes. I HATED it! I now use my phone, BUT I turned off the snooze function and I have to do a puzzle to make the alarm stop. So far, so good.
I used to NEVER snooze and get up right away. I now have to set my alarm really early because I know that every day I snooze for about an hour. It's stupid and devastating.
I have no problem getting up on the days I have work. I rarely hit snooze and I get up ready to tackle the day. The problem is on the days I have off I have trouble leaving my bed because it is so comfortable. I think setting goals for what you want to do and giving yourself a reason to get up is a real motivator.
Putting it far away doesn't work :D I literally started turning it off in my sleep like... not waking up at all & In my sleep walking across the room turning the alarm of unplugging my phone putting it next to me on my bed and continuing my sleep :D haha I'm a nutter
It might be your bedtime habits. If you're getting less that 7 hours of sleep your body isnt gonna wanna get up regardless of what you do in the morning. :/
@@Simpletivity but then you just wake up. Make sure it goes out the room.. *and then shut the door *😂😂 Still probably something id need if it didn't wake every one else in my apartment up XD
nah cuz I go to sleep at 9 wake up around 5 then go to the gym every morning but still have trouble with snoozing dont hit it every time but more then I want to for sure
Buy an electric shock dog collar. Wire the snooze button to the remote trigger. Pavlovian shock yourself the fuck up and never want to hit snooze again.
I started trying this before I watched this video- I'm sure it works for other people; but I think there's something wrong with me since I just hit the button and go back to sleep, and I can do this up to 4 times in a morning
Another suggestion would be to place motivating items near your alarm clock. For example, I really enjoy running in the morning. Therefore, I often place my workout clothes right beside my alarm so I see them and get dressed before being tempted to crawl back into bed.
I actually need my alarm reallly close bc that is the only way that I will wake up. If it is far away, I will not wake up. Please tell me I am not the only one.
I put my alarm on the opposite side of the room underneath the clothes I have to wear with a caffeine pill and smelling salts and a water bottle on top of that. And somehow. I still snooze for 2 hours.
You should put a line of cocaine on your alarm and sniff it then you're good to go. I do that every morning and it has made waking up early so much easier
I don't know what's been going on with me lately, I've been waking up at 3-4 am for a year and never had a problem, but this last week I get to snooze from 100-180 times a day (1 snooze per minute) and I'm so tired about this
I literally set my alarm early so that even if I snooze it a million times, I'm not late and now that I know that, I always snooze it even if it's ten feet away I walk till there still half asleep, pick up my phone and keep it in my bed. So I tried keeping the alarm at the normal time and *switching of the snooze option* on my phone
So i downloaded an alarm app which had maths problems,i solved all the Division and multiplication problems in my head under 5 seconds and went back to sleep. I got 2/20 in last Maths Test💀
Nope, this will not work for me. I don't even need to snooze, and I'll just sleep while my alarm is ringing and buzzing. I have a huge snoozing problem and it's probably never gonna be fixed. I have tried alarms that make me take a photo of my sink, and walk downstairs and upstairs but I still go back to bed and fall asleep. They worked at first, but then they didn't anymore.
Here's another suggestion: What activity makes you feel fantastic first thing in the morning? Right down the answer on a piece of paper and place it by your phone. I have a little note right beside my workout clothes that reminds me of how great I'll feel AFTER the workout. I may not always feel like lacing up my shoes, but that little note reminds me of the great feeling that comes afterward. Thanks for watching!

I put really embarrassing songs like "a thousand miles" and put it like 5 feet away. Waking up is mostly mental, if you know you gotta do something thing in the morning you'll never snooze and form good habits. I used to sleep in a loft bed and I’d set my alarm clock on the other side of the room. I would literally jump down out of bed turn it off and climb back up to sleep.
I have a bad habit of being able to hit the snooze button and I will hold the phone and just keep doing it, I really don’t consciously mean to do this but my mental state when I wake up is not a normal mental state. I will do or say whatever it takes to go back to sleep now matter how much or how little sleep I’ve gotten. That is anxiety. I feel when I wake up to an alarm and then somebody reminding me of the alarm or knocking… There has to be something better. I would take a zap from a stun gun or a dump out of bed. Lol.
What about if you don't HEAR your alarm. And have a special alarm clock for deep sleepers. Some mornings I hear it and hit snooze a few times and then wake up. But a lot of the time I don't even hear it.
I recently started using a Light Alarm which may be helpful to you. The light slowly gets brighter and brighter to help you wake up in a more relaxed and natural state.

I have my phone next to my bed because if I didn't I wouldn't hear my alarm at all. I can also get up, feed the dogs, go back to bed and instantly fall asleep again. Moving way more than 5 feet doesn't wake up my body or my mind. So this is not helpful at all.
