after watching the Rose Anvil interview with Seidel ..., i learned its not pronounced, " Sigh - dell' its " Sigh - dull " Seidel like idle.. Thanks for the content! im not 100% on bison.., but damn.. that is so clean.., JK does really proper stitchdown
No speed hooks on the Whites is a deal killer for me! Have several pairs of the Forefronts and they’re excellent, very comfortable with virtually no break in necessary!
Wow! Super nice of you to help her out with selling her boots! I always appreciate seeing more info and I am less familiar with JK's compared to White's so it was handy to see a comparison review. 9oz is a wild thickness! At least there is no liner to make it even crazier! Out of curiosity how big is her collection Dale?
I gotta go with with JK Forefronts. I've had a pair of their Superduty shorts in brown for almost a year now. I enjoyed wearing them so much, I've got some Redwood Forefronts inbound. Soon-ish, I hope :)
Have not had a pair of whites yet but Ihave JK fire inlander’s and the are fantastic but the customer service experience was second to none! They went above and beyond to make sure I was happy
I own both pairs and love them both. Any PNW boot must pay tribute to whites because they all one way or another have ties to whites. If I were her I’d keep both pairs because they are phenomenal.
From what I've been learning, the vamp on the LTT Whites is an additional layer of leather like an endless toe cap and that's why it's seam swoops back past the front of the heal counter cover. Can anyone confirm that all LTT's are built this way? Also worth mentioning that both of these appear to have a lineman's shank under the midsole which puts them in the category of arch support behemoths 💪🦶. Love both of these, solid boots for several decades (especially the LTT Whites with double vamp) and great value at that price for anyone with that size. 🤓😃
Great boots honestly I would love to try the whites but sorry you don’t really really wear them like work 10 hr days with them on a construction site so.. I have the jk forefronts and I really love them!
Sorry to be that guy but akshullly…. The Whites lace to toe is pretty much a double layer boot. They make a single piece boot, sewn at the toe and the heel, place an extended toe cap over it and then a backstay/counter cover over the counter.
I have a pair of JK 300Xs in black and a pair of Perry Select moc toes in tobacco stampede; of course not a great comparison but both were in stock so didn't have to wait for either. The things I don't like about the 300Xs is that the leather was wrinkled, so thought they just needed some conditioning (the included boot oil was a nice touch, as well as getting a phone call from JK thanking me for my purchase) but they won't take a shine with cream and wax polishes. They have a soft toe instead of a celastic/built toe which is a bit disappointing. I have to wear thicker sock due to heel slip and the tongue is a much thinner/softer leather and the backing from the speed hooks were really abrading the tongue, but kilties fixed that issue. I also caught a ton of thumb down reviews on their website, so (like anything else) they have their share of diehard fans (aka Kool-Aid drinkers). Perry Selects are great, just need to wear them more to break in that heel counter but I may have messed up when I used Leather Honey to condition them (they got a touch darker) so next time I'll be using Bick4. I never had a boot with a wedge sole and I've stood all day in these (at 52 with so-so knees) with no issues. I know that crepe sole would get dirty the first time I wore them but I kinda like the worn but not beat to hell look. They're both great boots and I'd get another pair of each; White's moc in black with the black wedge sole (forgot the model) and JK Forefront but I'd have to go with their build option to get them with the features I want and deal with the lead time and price (which closely matches Nick's).
Ok side question, when measuring the leather you refer to what i think you say is "ounces". Ounce is a weight measurement, should you not be measuring in "millimeters" for the thickness? Again i may not be hearing you correctly or im simply confusing my dyslexic brain lol but it is just not making sense.
Yes sorry leather can be measured in ounces or in millimeters but I choose ounces because I find it more tangible and I’m more familiar with it! In essence 5 oz = 2mm, 10 oz = 4mm, so on and so forth
You really should learn the different parts of a boot and construction methods if you want to do boot reviews. Don’t be lazy, take some time and get schooled up before you do boot reviews.
Just ordered the White's Max Schaaf Cykel engineer boot yesterday. It's the version of an engineer I want, and I have other white's to know the fit. I'm excited and can't wait to break them in.
There’s a reason they are so similar. All of the current PNW boots owe their heritage to Otto White. His original patterns started it all.
Correct. White's is the OG, from White's came Nicks, and from Nicks came Franks & JK.
Except Wesco( technically Danner too , but they went mass production) They produce their own product
Both are amazing looking boots. And I think it’s great that you help folks out by offering to sell for them on your site. That’s a great service

My new grail boots are White’s… huge fan now because of their arch support and lasts!

She has an amazing collection but she offloads what she doesn’t need!

Reddit is a cesspool, you are 100% correct🤣
It’s the worst!

Good stuff Dale. I hope you’re doing well
Love my White's! Awesome video, brother!
Thanks so much Pablo!!!

you need to do more fight videos
Great overview and comparison! Anyone with sizing questions, let me know!

Confirmed.
Whites Perry Selects or JK 300s as a first work boot to get through an electrician apprenticeship?
Great boots honestly I would love to try the whites but sorry you don’t really really wear them like work 10 hr days with them on a construction site so.. I have the jk forefronts and I really love them!
where can those JK's be purchased?

How do they compare on foot, comfort and arch support?
Awesome boots!

Thanks for this is input! Sounds like they didn’t use good cuts of leather in your JK’s
Wish JK would make some service boots…
What Omega watch are you wearing?
Looks like a 2209.50 Planet Ocean on an Omega 1380/237 mesh bracelet.
@@cesardanielgbthe mesh bracelet was throwing me off. I have not seen many mesh bracelets outside of Breitling.
