    Great video, I have the same 2019 Crosstrek. I live in Denton Texas and work in Dallas, I love my Crosstrek. I only have 12000 miles on it, Great to know that you had no problems with having over 50000 on yours. I get around 35 mpg on the freeway, It is one of the best handling cars i have ever owned, I am 55 years old and had trucks my whole life. I wanted a good every day driver that got good gas mileage, It has good power and I am very happy with it.

      My 2019 Crosstrek Premium has about 15,000 miles on it before I added the OEM strut brace. I can't believe the improvement it made to the rigidity of the car. I came from a 2016 Crosstrek Limited and the new chassis of the 2019 was already a major improvement. Highly recommended.

    This is a great video, thank you. I'm looking at my first subaru ever 2019 Crosstrek and this video answered alot of questions. I was really looking forward to buying a Honda Ridgeline but the prices are outrageous which is causing me to look around at other vehicles like the crosstrek :)

    I bought my 2019 crosstrek with five miles on the odometer. As of February 2021 I have 39,000 miles now and have had 0 issues with the vehicle. Im a very hard driver, I have always put my vehicle's through their paces. And so far im very happy with this car. I use this vehicle for work as a private driver, I regularly get 31 or 32 miles per gallon city, and about 35 highway. My only COMPLAINTS are personal ones. I am over 6 foot tall, and 250 pounds. The seats are a sporty bucket type seat which are much less supportive and comfortable then a Forester, and are in my opinion more then 50% less comfortable then a Outback of the same year. With my long legs, I have my seat extended back all the way and always wished it had another 4 to 6 inches of adjustment. My second complaint is lack of storage. ( last vehicle was a 2012 Ford Super Duty)
    The door pockets are laughably small for me. There is no compartment for sunglasses in the vehicle. The positives are very positive for me. Modern features we all come to enjoy, sunroof, heated seats, bluetooth, backup camera.
    If your willing to sacrifice about 5 miles per gallon, and driving convenience I would opt for the crosstrek with a manual transmission. We are all told for years now that CVT transmissions are garbage, and for me that is yet to be seen. I worry about the longevity of this particular transmission, but as to date, I have had absolutely no trouble with the CVT transmission. Subaru is one of the last manufacturers left that produce an AWD vehicle with a Manual transmission. Think it over

    I traded in my 2016 Crosstrek Limited for a 2019 Crosstrek Premium to get Eyesight. The avoidance of one single accident is easily worth the price of the system. There was a mention of wheelchairs in the review....a transport wheelchair (the kind with the small wheels) will fit in the back of the Crosstrek without folding down any of the backseats.

    Before buying my new 2024 Crosstrek 2.5 Limited i had a Mini Countryman with 1.6 L turbo.
    In comparison to my MINI, the fuel in Subaru is much worst.
    In the MINI, i could hit a peak of 42 mpg on longer highway drives. Usually average around 27-30 mpg city.
    In the new subaru i’ve been averaging 24-26 mpg city, and best I did on highway was 33 mpg.

    Is it worth going to the Outdoor trim for the extra money or the Touring is more value for money ?

    Is yours a rattle trap? My 2019 limited has had a handful of things rattle in the interior so far...something in the dash, the small triangular window near the A- pillar, the actual a pillar plastic, the crappy pieces of plastic along the bottom edges of the windshield(outside) that keep coming lose. It's an overall good, safe and fun car plagued by some quality control issues that I didn't have in my former Subarus.

    What makes you drive so many miles per year?

  • @davidwayne9982
    @davidwayne9982 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I found out the latest ones are NOT the same AWD system that Subaru use to make- it's NOT the SYMETRICAL awd which was actually closer to 4x4 operation- now it's front wheel bias and sends a LITTLE to the back wheels to reduce spin... IT's STILL GOOD-- but NOT as good as it use to be. I also DO NOT like CVT (certainly verified trash).. I prefer a REAL transmission.. I also don't like the way it sounds like it's going to fly apart trying to get on a freeway and not getting run over.

    I’m replacing my 2014 Hyundai Elantra GT Hatchback with this car. Losing 25 HP for the AWD. It’s fairly zippy for a N/A 2 liter. The Bluetooth phone connectivity is also superb for talking hands free. 155k of trouble free miles. Please Subaru don’t let me down

      @@AMF96 it’s been about 9 months and I like it, I call it my COVID car. Working from home I’m barely driving so it doesn’t feel so bad when I’m saving 250$ a month. I find the eyesight thing too intrusive and sometimes dangerous if your driving in a... “spirited” way. The head unit has random problems with Apple CarPlay or the radio but the next time you start the car, it’s ok.
      The ride is super smooth over potholes and generally bad roads. Power is very adequate.
      Over all if a dynamic sporty ride isn’t something you care about, it’s amazing.

      @@payasofeo69 Thanks for the input! I’m considering getting a Crosstrek or Forester. Would love to have a 2.5 Crosstrek Sport or Limited but it’s a bit out of my budget, so I’ll probably be going with a 2018 or 2019 Crosstrek.. but maybe in a few years I’ll get a Crosstrek with the 2.5

    • @JohnSmith-xl4sx

      I’ve already replaced factory but use all season tires that have best off-road rating/weather rating. I’m in a city so I won’t be taking trips in winter weather outside in gravel unplowed roads so I didn’t need winter ones. They’d prob be beneficial depending on where you are but also limit gas mileage and I do too much interstate driving

    • @confidentlocal8600
      @confidentlocal8600 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      "All season" tires are a huge compromise in winter, especially on ice. A set of winter tires makes a huge difference in snow, ice, and even dry roads at low temperatures.
      Shortly after I got my first winter tires in upstate NY, I was driving in slippery conditions one evening behind an old Camry, going downhill, approaching a stop sign just before the steepest part of the hill. The Camry driver locked up all four wheels, skidded across the intersection, and had to run against the curb to avoid an uncontrolled slide all the way down the hill. I stopped completely and continued on my way with full control. With winter tires, front wheel drive is totally adequate except when going up very steep hills, and even then I've never gotten stuck.
      With winter tires, the biggest challenge isn't the actual driving, it's avoiding the others who are driving on bald all-season tires when they should have stayed home. Especially the 4x4's who drive like they're invincible and end up spun around on the shoulder.

    • @aaronwarren4344

    Have you ever had problems with your front windshield cracking easily from debris on highways? I owned my car for less than two weeks and already got my windshield cracked! I started seeing more complaints of previous model years on Foresters and Crosstreks etc. I'm pissed because I've yet to hear back from SOA and see if they can help with anything. The chances are slim but how can the quality be so bad? Ugh damn Murphy's law.
